Ji Shizhen adamantly refused to listen to the advice of his mentor.

\"It's on me whether or not I want to waste my money on him, I just don't want something bad to happen from an oversight on our part! If he leaves and complications happen, I don't know if I could live with myself knowing that I could have done something to have prevented it from happening!\"

Wanting to convince the other doctor of his decision, Ji Shizhen's eyes pleaded with him for understanding.

\"You are on your own on this, Dr. Ji! Don't forget I warned you!\"

Ji Shizhen watched him storm away, as he personally saw that the order for a CT scan was placed for the demon lord.

\"I want you to wheel him to radiology for a CT scan. Let me when the result comes in, you can either page me or use the PA whichever works for me.\"

The young doctor spoke to a nurse at the unit, who then questioned his instruction.

\"Dr. Ji, didn't someone from radiology come with a portable x-ray?! Then why do you need a CT scan? Are you sure he is going to pay for the test you're ordering for him?\"

Ji Shizhen was rankled by the statement of the nurse; it was as if there was none that took his side when it came to the man that he was assisting.
