Chapter 8 - Madam Emily

''Now let the fun begins '' Shadow said with a big grin on his face .

Shadow noticed the new option shop was unlocked so he went quickly to check it.

The shop had many sub-menus that varied from combat techniques to weapons, abilities and even differ bloodlines . Shadow noticed that every single item had a rank and a price next to it with a little description. The currency of the system was called DP(dominance points) . Shadow didn't know what it meant so he decided to ask the expert ..the system.

"System ,what's dominance points ?"

'It's the currency of the system, Host can get dominance points buy showing his dominance to the people as that's one of the important traits for the demon' the system said.

" I'll leave it for now as I'll eventually figure it out in the future, For now let's check on this big guy " Shadow said after closing his system's window

After closing the window, Shadow went to the direction of the dragon .

'Seems like it's already dead' he said after checking the dragon.

Ding!

'Does the host wish to consume the dragon's corpse?'

'Yes/No'

" what!! , i can do that?"

Shadow was taken aback by the sudden voice of the system.

'Host can consume dead corpses and turn them into XP to level up ' the system said.

' does that mean i can consume the three-headed beast as well?' He said before he went to touch the monster and the same message showed up to him

" th..this is so damn op . i can get stronger by consuming corpses which means the more i kill the stronger i become" he exclaimed not able to hide his excitement.

"System, consume both monsters "He said to the system .

A red light engulfed the dragon's corpse and the three-headed dog and within seconds it swallowed the corpses completely leaving no trace behind.

Ding ! Ding! Ding!

Rings of the system resounded in his head .

'Congratulations to the host for leveling up , +1 increase to all stats'

Shadow was looking at the system messages in front of him with a dazed expression.

"System, how did i become a cultivator without even cultivating ?"He asked dumbfounded by the messages.

'The host's prowess is equal to the 1st stage of the spirit realm. Host doesn't need to cultivate like normal beings. After all you have me ' the feminine voice said to him with a bit of arrogance in her voice.

"When i first came to this world , I was happy to know of the cultivation world and the different species and magical beasts that existed in here. I felt like i really found the place i belong to . But after not being able to cultivate i was weak so i had to hide here and safe my life ,but now I'm a different person .my fate has changed and I no longer need to run for my life " Shadow mumbled in a low voice .

"I guess this is the time i fill my desires" he said with a smile on his face.

Shadow landed his fist on the ground and it made a 3 meter hole in it .

"Good"he said

Shadow's power has risen to a completely new level and his body grew taller . His skin became smother he was paler than before . His facial expressions changed quite a lot . Now he couldn't be considered just handsome , he was so charming .

"It's night already, I'll leave in the morning. I don't think I'll miss this place " Shadow said while looking around gazing at the trees one more time before he returned to the cave.

In the cave , Shadow was checking his stats when suddenly he saw the bloodline option.

'What the hell is this ?don't tell me!'

'System, explain the dragon bloodline 'he said.

'The host can get the bloodline of the corpses he consumes and the dragon is one of them'

"I knew the system was so op but to have the bloodlines of others, this is beyond op"he said .

Not all people (humans+other species ) had bloodline but each one of those who did have it could only have one bloodline so Shadow was bewildered by his ability of inquiring more than one bloodline.

It was night but Shadow couldn't sleep so he decided to do his daily quest.

He finished the quest easily

'Congratulations for finishing the daily quest '

'Reward +5 system points'

'I have 10 system points . I can distribute them as i like but i'm gonna keep them for now just in case of emergencies after all, it's been 11 years since the last time i was outside so I don't know what the world looks like ' he said to himself.

Next morning

Shadow kept checking all the system's features, besides the locked shop, he found out that the system had a storage space. The space inside the system resembled a 300 meter square garden that was filled with spiritual energy . Shadow noticed that the space was marked with the number 1 and he figured out that the space was upgradable and this was only level one.

Sometime later, Shadow packed his things and stored them in his spacial storage before be prepared to leave.

The nearest city to the dark forest was named Akaby. It was a small city located to the north of the dark forest.

Shadow arrived at the city gates and saw 2 guards standing at the entrance.

The guards looked at Shadow disdainfully as he was almost naked with a only one piece of clothes covering his the area between his legs . His long black hair hid his face which Shadow made it look that way purposefully because he didn't want people to recognize him as the crazy naked guy.

" hey brat Scram , this is not a place for beggars " One of the guards said .

" please i just want to buy new clothes" Shadow acted like a beggar because he couldn't explain his condition to others specially when he had no money.

"Get the hell out of here before i make you regret the day you were born" the other guard shouted clearly losing his temper.

' fuck , this is not the time for this. I might just kill them and get over with.

Shadow was getting angry ,after all he didn't have another choice but to get inside the city so he could find some clothes.

Just when he was about to make a move , A soft voice resounded " hey you too , don't you see that he needs to enter the city to buy clothes ? how will he do that if you keep blocking his way?" A beautiful woman in her middle thirties said to the guards .

The woman had long brown hair that reached her buttocks with a pair of brown eyes and a small nose . She had little wrinkles showing that she was getting older but that just added more to her charm.

" Humph he obviously doesn't have money so how will he be able to buy clothes if he can't even afford the entrance fee " one of the guards said with an arrogant voice .

The woman walked to the guard and handed him 20 bronze coins " this is 10 bronze coins for each of us " she said .

She walked to Shadow and held his hand " don't worry I'll buy you some clothes so come with me " she said with a gentle smile on her face .

The woman reminded Shadow of Lana and how she gently took care of him.

" thank you madam"he replied .

"My name is Emily , what's your name " she asked Shadow as they proceeded to enter the city .

"My name is Shadow " he said.

"Wow that's really a cool name , your parents must have chosen this name because they had high expectations of you" Emily was surprised when she heard his name .

' If only she knows that my mother chose this name because she thought I'll be somehow overshadowed by my peers ' Shadow had a bittersweet smile when he heard Emily's statement.

He knew his mother loved more than anyone else and wanted him to just live a low key life to survive specially him being a cripple at this cultivation world.

They were walking in the middle of the street and chatting while the people around them kept staring at Shadow's almost naked body .

Even though Shadow hid his face with his hair, his body attracted the attention of all the females . Their eyes were focused on his body that looked refined and flawless .Even Emily took glances every time Shadow wasn't looking towards her . But her staring didn't slip shadow's perception

' seems like my body has changed a lot from my past life ,this life I'll fulfill my desires' Shadow said while remembering his old ugly face that caused him troubles and bullying wherever he went.

Shadow was just a young adult in both of his lives so it was normal for him to look for the opposite sex attention.

Emily proceeded and bought Shadow new clothes . It was a black robe and even though it wasn't a high quality but Coupled with Shadow's perfect body and complexion he looked amazing.

"Thank you madam Emily " he thanked her after she bought him the clothes.

"Don't worry, you're at the same age of my son so i would love to help you out " she said

"So what are you going to do now" she asked him.

" I don't really know I'm new in the city and it seems like i lost my memories except for my name" Shadow lied as he didn't want to reveal his situation of him living in the dark forest for 11 years.

"Oh my!! I can't imagine how you feel right now. How about you come home with me i have a little tavern here in the city" she said worriedly while holding his hands .

"I don't want to bother madam Emily" he said while rejoicing inwardly.

" Don't be silly , I would love to take you with me" she said while looking at his handsome figure.

It's true that she really wanted to help him but the most thing she wanted to do was to see what his face looked like behind that hair.
