Chapter 40 - Disqualified

Everyone in the arena was stunned by Shadow's shameless remark. The three male participants were sweating heavily, now that they saw what Susie was capable of , they looked at her in a new light. She looked no more than 18-19 yet she used a rank-4 spell perfectly, that feat alone showed how much talent she has.

Rank-4 spells and above weren't commonly used by cultivators. Aside from being relatively rare because of how big powerhouses limited them for the public , it was almost impossible to master and use them practically in a battle at such a young age .

Susie stopped her steps , she stood like a stone in the middle of arena. She was as regarded a genius in her family, everyone treated her with utmost respect her entire life but yet here this guy in front of her molested her verbally in front of all these people. Her anger was starting to burn her as she now had only one thought in her mind "Kill him" .

Suddenly the black shark that she used to kill the bearded man was now heading towards Shadow. Just when the shark was about to leave the arena's boundaries, a transparent barrier appeared out of nowhere .

The shark's speed was too fast and it was late to stop it by now, but even then , Susie had no intentions to stop it .

Bang!!

The shark's body hit the barrier robustly that the collision sound reverberated in the entire place but to everyone's surprise, the barrier was standing still without even a single crack on its surface . Contrary to the wall , the shark vanished from the arena like it never existed , even Shadow was surprised by the might of the barrier .

'Fuck fuck fuck, what the fuck is wrong with me ? I know I always hated beta mc in Japanese mangas but this still counts as harassment. These sudden actions doesn't match with my thoughts . It can't be that these action are actually coming from within my subconscious mind otherwise I would be a pervert. If i keep acting like this every time i see an attractive girl i might get myself in situations I can't get out of this easily . Thanks to this barrier I didn't have to use my trump cards here' Shadow thought while sweating.

[Due to player Susie18 attempting assault on other players outside the arena , player Susie18 is disqualified from the competition. If this behavior is repeated more than once , other measures will be taken against player Susie18]

"I'll hunt you down like a little rabbit , the moment i identify your identity, your whole family will be buried underground , I'll your rib the flesh from your fucking filthy body so you better keep hiding your face pervert" Susie threatened Shadow while gritting her teeth, she knew that today's event will forever hinder her cultivation and make it more complicated . And the most annoying part of it is that she couldn't vent her anger or solve this problem anytime soon unless she recognizes Shadow's real identity.

"I don't really care if you know my identity. I'm merely hiding it temporarily for personal reasons , but feel free to try investigating me and if by any chance you could get rid of my family too then i would be in your debt "Shadow said in a calm manner . He wasn't trying trying to hide anymore , it was merely a persona he was creating to spread out his name.

Before Susie could reply , her body disappeared from the arena . It was obvious that the system banned her from the competition so no one thought much of it .

"Threatening and disappearing suddenly ,I guess she was on period " Shadow said .

"Fuck , this guy is so shameless , I didn't believe the rumors about the way he treated the famous Rita his first opponent , but now that i see his way of talking to girls specially a beautiful one such as Susie I don't think the rumors are far from the truth"

"I hate the fact that we won't see them fighting each other, i was a little hyped for it"

"If only she could have restrained her anger for a little bit longer, we would have been able to see that pervert suffering "

"Don't jump to conclusions guys , that devil guy is not easy to predict, if i were you , i wouldn't think of him so lightly "

The spectators weren't happy by the turn of events. They were expecting a fierce fight between Shadow and Susie but their excitement and enthusiasm was gulped by the system's decision .

After Susie left the match, the screen in the arena showed both Shadow's and the blond man's names . Both of them walked to each side of arena.

When the arena's lights were perfectly shown on Shadow's black clothes coupled with his mask , his build and his confident walk , people had a weird feeling seeing it themselves. No one knew why but everything about him looked so charismatic . It was like by default that most boys had jealous eyes while others looked up to him wishing to be like him even though they didn't know him or the way he looked , specially for the present girls, it was like they were looking at their idol . All of that was due to the effect of his high charms stat .

"You might have gained some confidence after winning one match in the visual field arena , but you would be an idiot for assuming that you can repeat the same feat here today." The blonde guy said .

He was at the peak of the 1st stage of earth realm. Even though he had some doubts about Shadow minutes ago, they all vanished after seeing the pervert side of Shadow. It was like all his past thoughts about Shadow were forgotten .

'It doesn't matter how powerful he is , this competition only allows those under the sky realm , i don't believe that some unknown rogue cultivator is in the earth realm' the blonde guy said inwardly.

What he thought wasn't illogical as everyone assumed a nameless person must be a rogue cultivator as people in this world love to brag about how powerful their families are .

The robotic voice resounded in the arena counting down the five seconds before the fight begins.

[5..4..3..2..1]

[Ding]

And the sound indicated the start of the match.
