Chapter 47 - Salsa

Sitting in the hall, Mark Lewis was discussing the wedding plans with his brother-in-law Charles, while Daisy was examining the custom made bridal accessories along with her sister-in-law, Katherine and Leah. From the guest list to the bridal parties, wedding theme, wedding attire, Daisy has taken the sole responsibility of organizing everything of her only daughter's wedding.

"How are they getting along?" Daisy asked in between.

"Vincy is working hard." Leah exaggerated.

"I have never seen Devin with a woman. Who is she?" Katherine asked with a surprise.

"You have never met her right Katty? You were out in the morning when she arrived. Leena is very lively and her sweet talks will just melt anyone away. Let her come from her room, I will introduce her to you and you will equally love her." Daisy stopped scrutinizing her work and started praising Leena.

"Then, I am looking forward to meeting her." Katherine smiled.

"We unnecessarily brought Trent here and raised his hopes. He seems to be a nice and warm person." Daisy looked at her daughter worriedly.

"Don't worry. Vincy will take_"

"Always talking about that brat Davinci." A man huffed and walked into the hall wearing an eey-ore headpiece jumpsuit, a tail which was pinned behind the back of his attire was swagging along with his b.u.t.t when he entered.

"Salsa!" Katherine yelled looking at his son. "What kind of tacky costume is that? You even pinned a ridiculous tail to your b.u.t.t. Go and change it now."

"Slobby Katty." Salsa laughed eerily pointing his hand towards his mom. "Then should I wear those tasteless clothes which you wear every day? Unlike you, I have won first place for this unique donkey tail costume in a fancy dress competition."

"The judge must be stupid to give away the first place to you." Daisy chided giggling at the funny tail.

"All are bullying me. I was supposed to marry Leah and that Austin has taken her away. Leah's wedding is not even over yet and you are talking about that rascal Davinci. That father of mine, Charles doesn't even consider me as his son and happily chatting with Mark." He wailed and wiped his imaginary tears with his sleeves.

"I understood Salsa, you are talking about your marriage only right?" Charles looked at his blabbermouth son and then to his tail. How should I sell off this creature? He had this dilemma for a long time.

"Let's search a girl for him after Leah's marriage Charles," Mark suggested.

"I have hunted down the whole of Seattle city but couldn' get a single girl. I am eager to get rid of this sin Mark, but none of them is willing to accept him." Turning towards his son he added. "At least behave decently in Leah's marriage. If you are lucky enough, someone will notice you."

"Why should I? Women should be lucky enough to have me as their husband. I am Salsa, a great salsa dancer. Everyone ogle at my s.e.xy salsa dance moves, you know." He started moving his body seductively to the extent that the donkey tail was about to come out off his b.u.t.t with his rigorous moves.

"Why did you make him learn Salsa Charles? He has changed completely and has even changed his name also." Mark rebuked looking at his brother-in-law.

"I was only concerned about his weight Mark. So Katty suggested Salsa dance would be easy to reduce the weight." Charles said. He has seen wonderful salsa dancers who are very normal, but he didnot expect his son would turn out to change weirdly after learning Salsa.

"Hey bratty Katty, your husband can never bring me a bride in this lifetime. At least you take the responsibility. Many of your friends have daughters right. Set up a date with one of them."

"I am done setting up for you. Now they are not even talking with me if I am bringing your topic. If anything is there, someone should come looking for you which would never happen in this lifetime."

Salsa gritted his teeth annoyingly.

"Go and call vincy for dinner. His room is next to you." Daisy added.

"Hmph." Salsa angrily walked away.

Just when he was about to knock the door of Devin, it was opened from the other end. Salsa looked at the girl in front of him as if God has sent this angel for him to shut the mouths of his dad and mom.

'Someone should come looking for you.' Her mom's words echoed into his ears from every corner of the house. Salsa sheepishly looked down tracing his finger onto the ground. When a finger was flicked in front of him continuously, he snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Hi! I am Salsa from Seattle." He introduced looking at her.

"Salsa? Wow. Nice name. I am Jurassic from Jiffy." Looking at his outfit, Leena found him very funny. Instantly, she got connected to his weird side and started her stories again.

"hahaha...Jurassic is my favourite movie. Is jiffy a country, Jurassic?" He asked.

"Yes, yes. It was recently discovered." Leena lied. She just wanted to rhyme it.

"You are very funny." He giggled

"You are very weird." Leena also giggled.

"I am Leah's cousin and I am a salsa dancer." He said looking at her.

"Wow. I love Salsa. Can you do the dance moves?" Leena excitedly asked allowing him into the room.

Sitting in the room, Devin was looking at the weird talks between them with disinterest. He did not want to feel jealous when he was not even considered as his opponent. Now that his little kit found a weird personality, he wondered how funny this wedding would turn out with these two.

"Nice tail Salsa. Is it a donkey one?" Leena clapped her hands in excitement looking at the cute donkey tail. The moment she saw his outfit, she was awed by it.

"Wow, you are so sharp Jurassic. No one recognized it. Since when did you learn that you are so clever."

"Since childhood." She proudly said and asked." Can I touch your tail?"

"Anything for you Jurassic." Salsa got up and bend his body slightly to have more accessible and before Leena could touch it, a pair of hands stopped her.

"Later. Let's go and have dinner first." Devin immediately rushed when she was about to touch that.

"Go and change that attire now Ferris. It's not even funny." Devin was barely holding his laugh looking at the tail.

"No Ferris. Call me Salsa." But Devin didn't even mind him, he grabbed Leena's hand and dragged her out of the room. Being hungry, Leena didnot mind he was holding her hand, she went along with him.

...

Boarding the plane, Regina could not control the happiness surging within her. She did not want to sound desperate as soon as she saw him. Regina closed her eyes, thinking of ways to strike a conversation with Devin when he arrives. Would he get surprised after seeing me here?

Although he doesn't verbalize with her except for the work, Regina was not sad or angry. Devin rarely speaks with any women except with that bitch Harley. Although their relationship is like a brother and sister, she wanted him only to herself. When her sources have informed that he had dated a woman in the past, Regina wanted to rip off that s.l.u.t's face for seducing her prince. She was glad that he broke up with her. Otherwise, she would be in rags with just a flick of her finger with her family's position.

Now that he is single and she is also moving to New York, she will create opportunities to crawl into his heart. And her first strike would be a sensation to the world that would appear on tomorrow's headlines. Her thoughts stopped abruptly when she sensed her fellow seat being occupied. Regina smiled and composed herself to control her emotions.

She opened her eyes anticipating seeing her prince but was shocked when an old rag was sitting next to her. How did this happen when she has planned everything perfectly? She wanted to kill the person for occupying the seat that belonged to Devin. But she controlled her anger with the crowd sitting in the plane. Her clenched hands to the extent of crushing them, her biting lips to the point that blood was oozing out, Regina was looking like a maniac.
