Leaning on the headboard with legs crossed, and watching her pose in front of a mirror holding all the dresses, Devin was enjoying the manifest. He could feel her eyes which was exploring its fabric, her smile when she grabbed a dress of her liking, her lips tugged with annoyance when a dress did not suit her, her happiness when she finds it looked beautiful on her. She always finds contentment in small things, be it food or dresses, people around her. Devin was chucking and admiring her childish behavior, but never his gaze landed elsewhere. There was only pure love in his eyes expressing his respect to her.
"Do you like them?" He asked seeing her pick a vest to try now. She even threw his jacket on to the bed after seeing the new ones which she was clutching to her c.h.e.s.t like a possession earlier.
"Not like. I love them and I can't get enough of them." Leena squealed with delight and dit it each time when she tried a new one. Devin was in cloud nine when she was jumping with excitement liking all the outfits which he personally picked for her.
"OMG! Why do women have so many varieties and diversities in clothes? Leena clapped in excitement, with a scoffing gaze at Devin. "I am very lucky to born as a woman. We can wear many different dresses and colors every day, unlike men."
"It's pointless to buy the same colors." He weaved. Getting up, he gave her space to sit on the bed when she is done with trying all the clothes.
"I rubber stamp deny it. Men are color blind. That's why you only have all funeral color choices." She giggled covering her mouth to stop making embarrassing noises seeing the agitated look of certain someone.
"It's not color blind. We simply tend to dress in a practical fashion darling." Devin was along used to her sarcastic remarks and he was not even bothered by it when he knew she likes to poke him so that he gets annoyed. Little did she knew, he liked quarreling for trivial and petty matters with her. He can tease her in the future for how childishly she behaved with him in the initial days.
"Accept that you are not creative like us." Practical my foot. Everywhere they wear those funeral colored clothes. Be it a party or at work. But her thoughts always contradict when it comes to him. She has seen him wear stylish clothes every time she met. Even if they are of the same darker shades, he looks dapper.
"Women are just specific about their choices darling." He lazily retorted.
"We are not sp_"
"Fine. Let me give you a practical example." Devin cut off her thoughts recounting it. "If we offer a pair of regular jeans to a girl, would she accept it just like that? No! She would give a hundred reasons. Boring color, not fitting properly, pockets plunging, etc..etc... But the same if you offer it to men, he would happily grab it."
"Is this reason enough sweetheart?" He added. Devin smirked looking at the annoyance on his little kit's face for losing a debate in front of him.
"Not enough! And don't call me sweetheart!" Her heart fluttered whenever he calls her sweetheart. Not to show her reddened face and riled by his taunting smirk, Leena grabbed a dress that her hand seized at the moment and rushed into the washroom.
"It's been an hour. Is she wearing clothes or washing clothes?" He mused when she did not come out.
When Leena was not showing up in the room for a long time, Devin worriedly went to check if something has happened to her. Before he could knock the door, it was opened from the other end and appeared a ravishing beauty in front of his eyes. He gazed with parted lips at the beautiful girl wearing a one-piece pencil dress, flaunting her hourglass figure. It stressed her slender waist which could barely fit into his hands. Her toned legs visually longer showing off her years of work out.
His throat dried and his spell bounded looking at the bewitching enchantress. There was only one word he came up for the beauty standing in front of him. Temptress. She is enticing his heart with feline-like grace unraveling the beast in him.
"Why are you standing here?" Oblivious to his running thoughts about her, Leena snarled when he is not even giving space to move. If Leena had heard Devin's inner thoughts, he would be definitely thrown out of the room.
"Wait here." Consuming his thoughts, Devin moved from his trance after she spoke but his voice was still raspy. Ignoring her comments, he walked away from the place to their room again.
"Huh? Why should I listen to him?" Leena scorned and was about to get out of the washroom, Devin came back picking a loose comfortable sleeping outfit from the messy bed which has all the clothes fluttered around. He decided to hide all those flaunting dresses elsewhere once she sleeps.
"Wear this." He shoved a dress on to her. " You look like an invisible unicorn in this dress."
Leena looked at him with a wide-opened mouth for comparison with a unicorn. Do I really look like a unicorn in this dress? she cried. Why is he so blatant with his words when it comes to me?
