126 Dauntless Lightning God Spirit Root.

Ling Tian extended out a finger and a red dot of light was formed which he flicked towards Lin Ke'er. The dot of red light entered Lin Ke'er's body, startling her.

A thick black fog started to come out from Lin Ke'er's body. This was the collection of impurities in her body that Ling Tian was forcing out in a gaseous form.

The black fog spread around Lin Ke'er as it gradually thinned and disappeared. With the thin black fog's dissipation, a red glow started to emanate from Lin Ke'er's body. The red glow came from inside her and under her fair skin, her veins, arteries and blood vessels were visible, as they pulsated with a red glow.

"The spirit energy cultivation within you has reached it's limits within its boundaries. But the limits of the cultivation technique I gave isn't even on sight. To achieve a breakthrough, you require something else, besides spirit energy." Ling Tian said through narrowed eyes.

" What do I need?" Lin Ke'er asked.

" Duh. A high-level spirit root, of course. I just said that before." Ling Tian said.

" I'm sorry master." Lin Ke'er said meekly while lowering her head.

" Sigh, forget it. Here's the Spirit Root inheritance for you. It's called Dauntless Lightning God Spirit Root. Trust me, it's pretty high level." Ling Tian said as a green palm sized crystal appeared in his hand.

" An attribute Spirit Root?! Master! Isn't this too valuable?!" Lin Ke'er asked in fright.

" Nah. I have plenty of these, so don't worry." Ling Tian said with a leisure smile.

" Re-Really?" Lin Ke'er asked again in doubt.

" Really." Ling Tian reassured her.

Ling Tian did not want Lin Ke'er to have low talent, so he picked out one of the only four God Rank Spirit Root inheritances in the Soul Storage Space for her.

His little disciple only deserved the very best!

" How do I .... fuse with it, master?" Lin Ke'er had no knowledge in this regard. The knowledge of Spirit Root inheritance is known only to those above True God level. An absurd thing like fusing with an external Spirit Root was already unheard of, needless to say of knowing how to carry it out.

" It's pretty simple. I will teach you." Ling Tian said as his lips curled up at the corners. He saw the look of apprehension cross the face of Lin Ke'er and he grew more amused.

Looking at Lin Ke'er's expression of confusion, Ling Tian could not bear but to pull her into his arms, his chest against her back and rested his chin on her head. Ling Tian cupped Lin Ke'er's hands together and placed a palm sized crystal in them.

" Just trust me and do as I say. Everything will be fine." Ling Tian said with a smile.

Lin Ke'er didn't realize that Ling Tian was currently hugging her as she was completely focused on the green crystal in her hands, lost in daze.

Lin Ke'er stared at the crystal in her hands, it was sparkling clear and you could see through it. Upon closer inspection, she noticed there was something more inside. A trail of green arc of lightning seemed to swirl within and the lightning seemed to be alive.

" That's a Spirit Root within?" The crystal's surface was cold and hard and felt just like beautiful crystal, but different. She could not identify what material it was.

Although the process carried it's own risks since not everyone is a logic defying Nature Immortal like Ling Tian. But...

WIth him around, his little disciple will be fine. He'll make sure she is...

" You, trust me?" Ling Tian asked.

Lin Ke'er then suddenly came back to her senses and her face was completely red when she realised that he was hugging her from her back. She trembled for a bit, then remembered how much Ling Tian had done for her, despite there being nothing for him to gain.

Lin Ke'er nodded slightly and she realised she could not see Jun Wu Yao who was behind her and answered affirmatively.

" Y-Yes."

Ling Tian was ecstatic. He still remembers the quest that stated that he has to make Lin Ke'er confess her feelings for him. In order to accomplish that, gaining her trust is the first step. He didn't want to fail the quest as the penalty is rather severe, as expected of a sin quest.

" Just touch the crystal and wholeheartedly think of accepting the Spirit Root." Ling Tian said.

Lin Ke'er followed Ling Tian's instructions and placed her hands on the top and bottom of the green crystal and turn them in opposing directions at the same time. The perfectly seamless crystal turned under her hands, and the struggling green lightning within found its only way of escape and pushed its spirit out through the tiny crack.

" Think of accepting it from the bottom of your heart. It'll come to you." Upon the release of the green lightning, Ling Tian had immediately started to prepare his Nature Immortal powers, in case anything went wrong.

Lin Ke'er closed her eyes, and began to draw in the Green Lightning into her body.

When it began, Lin Ke'er felt an exceedingly violent spirit, rampaging within her body as sparks and sparks of lightning condensed within her sea of consciousness to form a new Spirit Root.

This was the spirit energy of a God Rank Spirit Root, it was completely tyrannical, and filled with terrifying destructive power. The moment Lin Ke'er started to draw in the Spirit Root into her sea of consciousness, her mind had become chaotic and her nerves had felt like they were about to snap in the next moment.

Sweat beads formed on her body and her clothes were soon drenched.

Pain felt in the soul was indescribably tormenting, far worse than any physical pain ever felt.

Ling Tian observed all this without taking any action.

Physical pain could drive a person to a momentary faint, but the agony from the torture of the soul would never make one lose consciousness. When a person's soul is under torture, his consciousness would in fact be heightened. At that moment, Lin Ke'er's senses were heightened and amplified so much that a gentle tap on her would have felt like a boulder that had smashed on her.

The petite body within Ling Tian's arms grew hot and the colour drained from her face. Ling Tian did not do anything besides carefully cradling Lin Ke'er within his embrace.

He knew very well of the pain of soul. He had once experienced the ultimate pain of the soul.

Ling Tian then passed on his Nature Energy and infused it into Lin Ke'er's body and soul. His Nature Energy was different from all other variations of Nature Energy. It was of the highest degree, that contained the attributes of 'Origin' and 'Evolution'.

All the pain she felt receded as she felt the rampant Spirit Energy submitting to a mysterious energy that entered her.

Lin Ke'er was familiar with this energy. It belonged solely to one being, her master.

She felt warm and at ease as she let go of everything and continued to focus on circulating her cultivation technique, leaving her security to Ling Tian.
