“Well…” Lin Momo didn’t know what to say. She couldn’t just dump everything on her girlfriend’s face and tell her that Wang Dazhi had expressed his love to her.

“Xiaoxiao, how can you not tell? Wang Dacheng has been using you.”

“Using me?” Che Xiaoxiao giggled. “I’m now all by myself. My parents are dead, and my family’s status has declined. I don’t have enough money to be deceived, and I’m glad if he’s trying to take advantage of me. How is he using me?

“Well, as long as you don’t regret this…” Che Xiaoxiao said and shook her head. She was quite confused. “You used to say that I was a fool, but you turned out to be more of a fool than me.”

Lin Momo smiled grudgingly because she knew that neither of them could convince the other. Their choices would prove to be wrong or right as time went by.

When the four of them were back at the table, the mood had slightly changed. Che Xiaoxiao was no longer as excited as she had been earlier. Istead, she seemed quite depressed.

Wang Dacheng told Che Xiaoxiao, “Xiaoxiao, why don’t we just call it a day? We got a press conference to attend at 14:30 about the establishment of the Hall of Medical Fame. We should go back and get ready for it. You’ll open it as the president!”

Che Xiaoxiao nodded and told Lin Momo and Qin Haodong, “Let’s call it a day. I’d like to do this again someday.”

The four of them left the hotel and hopped in their cars.

Lin Momo asked Qin Haodong, “What is Wang Dacheng up to? Does he really love her?”

Qin Haodong said, “Not exactly, I think, but I can’t figure out what is wrong.”

“That’s right! Wang Dacheng is a very selfish man who has been using Xiaoxiao, yet he suddenly registered his companies under Xiaoxiao’s name. That’s very confusing.”

Lin Momo sighed and said, “I hope he is being nice to Xiaoxiao. That girl’s already having a hard time.”

Lin Momo answered. “She showed me a lot of photos of you with Wan’er, Xiaoxian, Wushuang, and Wuxia. She said I should leave you.”

“Ah?” Qin Haodong smiled awkwardly and said, “So she’s been stalking me and taking candid shots?”

“I know her well. She didn’t take those photos. She’s just trying to warn me so that I’m not fooled by a handsome man like you.”

As she spoke, she ogled at Qin Haodong, holding his arms even tighter.

Qin Haodong said, “If she didn’t take the photos, then it must have been Wang Dacheng. That guy still has a crush on you.”

“Momo is my best friend. Of course I trust her,” Che Xiaoxiao said before she stuck out her tongue, “But I’ve thought about it. If you were fooling me now, I’d allow it. I don’t have much money and I’m not that hot. I’d take a booty call with you!”

She then giggled. She apparently didn’t understand Lin Momo’s words at all.

A hidden pride flashed over Wang Dacheng’s eyes as he said, “We’d better hurry. The press conference will be launched right away. I’ve invited plenty of journalists from all kinds of organizations.”

Che Xiaoxiao said, “It’s fine. I’m not afraid of anything as long as you’re with me.”
