Chapter 442 - Peaceful And Calm Heart

The Ken mansion had a triple celebration held in the evening for the Yang's at dinner.

"This is a toast not only because I got married to the hot, stunning young mom, but also because these newlyweds would soon become grandparents of wonderful babies of our two handsome sons, Xander and Dion!" announced Senior Yang as he raised his glass for a toast.

"Cheers!" Everyone echoed at the dining area.

The pregnant women immediately became the center of attraction of all the guests and many even started teasing the two glowing beauties, the night was a prideful showoff for the whole family with the newlyweds basking in their happiness and the two beautiful soon to be mothers blushing while their husband's too were both proud and feeling achieved.

Xander noticed Lana was not around so he elbowed Chad and asked, "Where's Lana?"

"Oh, she called. She said she will stay at the floating villa and will be in time here for our leave." Chad responded then contemplated asking something, but in the end he could not help but whisper what he saw while he was roaming around the area to Xander.

"You mean Dr. Yao?" Xander croaked and Chad nodded. "She and Mara really look so much the same," Chad muttered. Xander was aware about Mara's existence so he thought that maybe Xander knew something was going on without him knowing since it had been years already since he left country D. 

"Yeah, they did the DNA testing between Mara and Dr. Yao to see if they matched since Keira said that by their looks it could be a possibility that the two could be lost twins or maybe connected or a family somehow. Keira said before that Mara looks so different from the other isolated people in that island so she speculates that Mara accidentally was cast away or left behind into that island when she's still young. But I haven't asked Keira about the result of the DNA. Why don't you call Keira to know more…" Xander suggested to Chad. 

Chad shook his head. He too was curious, but he was avoiding Keira Chan as much as possible. Why? Because Keira always nagged him about Mara and never left a chance in embarrassing him.

Xander then looked at his wife with suspicious squinted eyes, wondering why his wife did not say a word about Dr. Yao being at the medical facility of the island. Chewing on his lip, Xander consciously stared at his wife…

"What?" Yera breathed, noticing her husband's measuring stares.

"How come you never mentioned Dr. Yao's presence on the island to me?" Xander asked because he was aware how irritated his wife got whenever Dr. Yao was in the picture.

"What for? It's not needed. Wait. Do you mean that I need to worry about something?" Yera muttered with tweezed eyebrows.

Xander suddenly straightened out from his seat and quickly defended, "Of course not!"

Then he gave Yera a look with his flashing eyes with a broad meaningful smile before whispering, "Let's escape from this crowd now, darling."

Without waiting for Yera's answer, Xander immediately pulled her out from the dining area to walk towards their room.

Outside the dining area, Yera gasped when Xander suddenly lifted her up and carried her into a bridal style. 

"What are you doing?" Yera murmured. 

"Carrying my beautiful darling. The love of my life. My alluring queen. The gorgeous mother of my baby… no… babies..." Xander showered her with flirtatious words and praises while he stepped on each stair.

Yera's eyes were sparkling with love while her cheeks blushed a deep shade of red hearing each compliment from her husband's mouth.

"Hmm, I guess our babies are very healthy." Xander suddenly spurt with his mischievous grin while he gently put down Yera on the bed.

"Why?" Yera asked with her lovely inquisitive smile.

"Cause my super s.e.xy wife seems to have become heavy… I mean because of that heavyweight… Oh, I think my arms almost broke," Xander mumbled in a jest. Yera sat up with a crumpled face on the bed.

Her smile turned into a grimace, and Xander failed to dodge her hitting fist, landing on his chest.

"Ouch! Darling, that hurts!" he cried.

"After those praises, pulling my leg down?" Yera chided and Xander immediately hugged her, laughing in his trademark charismatic way.

"Geez, I'm just kidding, darling. I'm only testing how swingy your mood swings are. Now I know I should be more careful. Of course you're not heavy but super lightweight. Darling… you will never be heavy for me and always remain the most gorgeous and beautiful woman in this entire world... I love you, my beautiful wife." Xander countered then gently pushed Yera to give her a sounding kiss on her lips.

He then carefully pushed her to lie on the bed to kiss her tummy.

"I love you too, my babies," Xander blissfully remarked. He even raised Yera's dress from her abdomen so he could kiss her bare tummy before placing his ear on it as if trying to hear a thing.

"Darling, our babies are talking to me… saying you should take extra care of your body now. Don't stress too much, especially whenever you think about daddy. You should stay strong not only physically and mentally but mostly emotionally. Trust daddy will do good and come home safe so wait with a peaceful and calm heart." Xander shared with a grin as he tilted his head to look at his wife.

"Oh, wait darling, I think our babies have more to say." Xander added and put his ear back on Yera's stomach.

"What? No! Why are you all a glutton? The grumbling is too loud!" Xander whined and Yera laughed because her stomach was indeed grumbling. She was still hungry after eating too much already for dinner.

Xander sat up and gently caressed Yera's stomach.

"My cute babies… Alright, I will get you food to eat soon but listen well. Daddy too has a message for you guys… Please make sure to grip very tight in your mommy's w.o.m.b will yah? That's daddy's only request, make sure you stick more than a glue to mommy's w.o.m.b until her due date okay. Make sure you all will grow there inside with good health and a normal growth. I'm so excited to meet and see all of you guys!" Xander lovingly whispered.

Yera could not help the tears from welling up as it silently fell from her eyes while she watched her husband lovingly and adoringly talking to her still small tummy, hoping their babies inside could already hear their daddy's plea.
