679 Chapter 679 "It Works!"

"Mistress…" Jiu Wei murmured through telepathy, seeing his mistress frustrated because nothing happened again even though the girl had tried her power on a living being.

"Maybe it won't work on something other than humans?" Xi Xue tilted his head as he suddenly blurted out his guess after seeing how Meiren wasn't affected by Li Shi Ying's new power.

"Huh? Won't work on something other than humans?" Li Shi Ying whispered as she looked at Meiren with curious eyes. She was frustrated that she hadn't succeeded in her experiment at all but if what Xi Xue said is true…

It could be! Meiren isn't human, so if the power only works on humans, it's possible that she wouldn't be able to affect Meiren and her other beasts.

"If we need a human, we can't try it on me then?" Long Ao Zhen who was waiting for Li Shi Ying to finally make a move, couldn't help but shake his head in disappointment.

He thought that he could help his little bunny in her experiment but there's a possibility that Li Shi Ying's power only works on humans. If that's the case, he couldn't help at all! He was a dragon, not a human

"What should I do then? We can't let others find out about my power right...but we need a human to experiment on." Li Shi Ying sighed as she asked Jiu Wei for advice.

She could just use her power on a civilian, but since she had to observe from a close distance to see the effect, it sounded kinda hard to do.

"Let's ask Zhan Jiouli. He has a debt to you, right? We can use him for experimenting and later, erase his memory using the very same power." Jiu Wei quickly told Li Shi Ying what he was thinking. It was possible for Li Shi Ying to erase Zhan Jiouli's memory of the experiment using her new power if she wished to.

"Good idea! Let's call Zhan Jiouli." Li Shi Ying clapped her hands in excitement from hearing Jiu Wei's suggestion. That method could work! The girl quickly asked Long Ao Zhen to bring Zhan Jiouli to the room, and whether he wanted to or not, Zhan Jiouli had to come.

"What is this? Why did you call me here?" Zhan Jiouli was still a bit tipsy after drinking so he looked a bit different from his usual calm and composed manner. The man glared at Long Ao Zhen while harrumphing in slight anger. He was drinking when this dragon suddenly interrupted him!

"It works!" Li Shi Ying tightened her first and began jumping around the room in excitement. She finally succeeded in her fourth time trying! So what Jiu Wei said was true. This power only works on another human being!

"What?" Zhan Jiouli was still confused with what happened. He felt dizzy before but suddenly his head was cleared. He couldn't really remember what happened when he was drunk, but he vaguely remembered that Li Shi Ying said something about paying his debt?

"Thank you Zhan Jiouli! But you can't go away, for the time being, I still need to do another experiment." Li Shi Ying thanked the confused Zhan Jiouli but didn't plan to let Zhan Jiouli go back to the lobby or to his own room.

"Experiment? What do you need me for?" Zhan Jiouli frowned hearing that Li Shi Ying was going to do another experiment. What experiment to begin with, and what's the relationship with him being here?

"Yes. I'll use you as my experiment subject!" Li Shi Ying grinned from ear to ear as she prepared the second experiment she would use. Before, she used only one word. Maybe now she should use another longer curse?

"Huh? Well go ahead." Zhan Jiouli didn't know why but he suddenly got goosebumps. He just hoped that this experiment won't be dangerous for him!
