"Wow, wow, chill. I can't fight. My wife is watching me." Xi Xue grunted as he tossed Di Yu's collar. The man then looked at Bíng Huo with a grin, ignoring Di Yu's blank eyes. 

"Huo Huo, this is one of my crazy friends. He is a Cerberus, Di Yu." 

Both Di Yu and Bíng Huo were flabbergasted. They stared at each other as if the other was a ghost. 

"YOU GET MARRIED??" 

"T-this is your friend??" 

The two shouted at the same time, and Xi Xue had to block his ears in case he became deaf. 

"Calm down, ah! One at a time! Don't speak at the same time!" Xi Xue scolded the two, but his gaze was on Di Yu. There's no way he would scold his dear wife. 

Seeing Xi Xue only scolded him, Di Yu's lips twitched. Crimson red fire started to burn behind his back. 

"Yo, old man. Tell me. Is this true? You suddenly get married when you run away from the kingdom– the heck??" Di Yu raised his hand and pointed his finger at Bíng Huo. 

His black eyes trembled as he slowly opened his mouth. 

"And why the hell you marry a human who's not even pretty– "

Xi Xue's blood fog instantly formed a huge palm and slapped Di Yu in a second. 

"Kkhh!" The Cerberus was pushed back several meters, and the ice floor beneath his feet cracked bit by bit. 

"Xue Xue!!" Bíng Huo cried, alarmed. She hurriedly hugged Xi Xue tightly and shook her head. "What are you doing?? Isn't he your friend– " 

"Even if he is my friend, I won't allow him to insult you." Xi Xue stared dagger at Di Yu's figure behind the thick crimson blood fog. The fog slowly condensed, creating a blood blade. 

Seeing the blade, Bíng Huo's eyes widened. She suddenly flinched.

"Uh..." Bíng Huo bit her lips as she watched the blade slowly approach the teen figure. 

Di Yu, the teen, was swaying as he glared at Xi Xue. There's no visible wound on the teen's body, but one could see his face paled. 

'Damn it. This vampire is still as strong as before!' 

Realising that he would lose, Di Yu hurriedly dashed toward Xi Xue and lowered his head. A pair of dog ears popped out of his head, and he suddenly wagged his tail. 

"Chill, chill. I'm just joking, okay? I was shocked that you married a human! That's big news!"

Bíng Huo's lips twitched. She had the urge to pinch Di Yu's cheek. 

What a sly teen. He immediately sucks up to my hubby. 

Xi Xue didn't reply and just looked down at Di Yu. The teen lifted his head and showed an apologetic smile. If this were his younger self, he would recklessly charge forward and offend everyone. 

Now, the dog was a bit more sensible and cunning. He must have learned from that lazy snake or from his peers. 

"You have changed." Xi Xue sighed as he dispersed the blood blade. The crimson blade vaporised into thin air. 

"Yes, yes. I'm no longer the fool little guy I was." Di Yu grinned. His arrogance also decreased compared to the first time he served Li Shi Ying, his master.

"Mmm. That's good. You should know when to offend someone stronger than you." Xi Xue nodded in agreement. He didn't see Di Yu was grinding his teeth, enduring the urge to slap Xi Xue's foul mouth. 

"Anyway. Introduce me to your wife again." Di Yu coughed to ease his wrath. The dog dismissed his fake dog ears as he looked at Bíng Huo with a scrutinising gaze. 

'This human...isn't as pretty as that ice eagle behind.' 

Di Yu stole a glance at the calm queen who was watching all of this with a calm gaze. One could immediately gauge her strength just from her demeanour alone. 

'Ha...why is this old vampire marrying a human instead of this powerful ice eagle?' 

The bewildered Di Yu silently clicked his tongue as he looked back at Bíng Huo with a smile on his face. 

Of course, a fake smile. 

"Alright, I'll introduce you to my wife." Xi Xue's face instantly lit up the moment Di Yu expressed his will to know his cute wife. The man caressed Bíng Huo's back as he pushed his chest, looking proud. 

"She is Bíng Huo, the daughter of the academy– I don't know the name, I forgot. But you know that one academy that mistress attended before?" 

"Yeah, what's with that?" 

"This girl is the granddaughter of that academy's current headmaster."
