4 The Truth About The Arcan Plan

"I'm not even sure if I can find the Arcan plant in this vast forest to cure the illness of my daughter. That's the only hope that I have."

Louise was silent for a while before she responded.

"You told me earlier that the physician who check your daughter told you that the Arcan plant is the only cure for her. Yes?"

The Duke nodded.

"Sigh. Let me ask you this, do you even know what an Arcan plant is? What does it look like, what was its characteristics?"

He shook his head before he answered.

"That...all I know is it glows with a yellowish aura when its dark."

Louise wave her hand and out of nowhere it produce a plant with five inches height. With short leaves that can be counted to seven. The plant itself was surrounded by a yellowish aura.

"That.." he was about to grab it when suddenly it disappear from thin air.

"That's right, it is indeed the Arcan plant. I know you've been looking for this plant to cure the illness

of your daughter. I'm sorry to tell you this, but Arcan is known for its potent toxins and it's not a cure for any illness."

She continued.

"With regards to the symptoms of her disease. Falling ill and never waking up and a body as cold as a corpse it's called a living corpse illness, not an Ancient one."

"Then why-"

"Why did that physician told you it's Ancient?" she cut him off then shrugged."It's for you to investigate. I'm an outsider, so the schemes inside your household is none of my business."

"You're knowledgeable about the illness does that mean that it can be cure?"

"Of course it is. An illness inflicted by a mage can only be solve by a mage."

"A Mage? But the magic healing potion wasn't able to cure her." He countered.

"Of course it can't. Magic healing potion sold at the market was created by a Middle rank mage and her illness was caused by a highest rank one."

Gerald was silent for a long time as if he was weighing something. Suddenly he bailed his hand into a fist.

So that means that he was being played with. So if he was able to get the Arcan plant then what will happen? He will indirectly kill his own daughter.

He looked at her with a hopeful eye. Louise rolled he eyes and wave her hand.
