13 Madam Garcy

Duke's Residence. Blooming Flower Courtyard.

A woman was sitting lazily on her couch while quietly playing a cat on her lap. This woman is the Duke's Gerald second wife, Madam Garcy. Sitting on her right was her first born son from the Duke, Young Master Kale who is about fifteen years old. He has a similar eyes just like the Duke with it's gray color and he also got his square jaws from him but the color of his hair was taken from his mother which was golden brown. Overall he can be considered as handsome man. On her left was her second born Lady Anishina who is about thirteen years old who resemble much of her mother.

The three of them was currently hearing the report from a servant about the return of the Duke to the residence.

"Oh, so that means that he wasn't able to get the Arcan plant, that's a pity." She slightly sneer. Of course, she was the one who incited the physician who visited his daughter to the first wife to tell the Duke that the Arcan plant is the only way to cure her illness and can only be found in the Mystical Forest.

She's pretty sure that the illness of his daughter cannot be cured by any physician, it was inflicted by a highest ranking Mage who she paid a huge amount. What she did not expect was the Duke himself lead the search. Legend says that anyone who enter the Mystical Forest will not be able to come back alive. She only wants to get rid of his daughter whom he doted so much and do the same to the first wife.

She bore him a son and so she thought that she will be able to get his full attention and love. But he still doted on his first wife and daughter still that he will not even spare his own life just for him to get the cure even in the dangerous Mystical Forest.The Duke only slept with her out of a husbands duty but no love is included on it.

Of course she tried to pursuade him not to go but the Duke just ignored her.

"And.." the servant hesitated a bit. "Madam, it was said that the Duke brought a girl into the residence.

She stopped caressing the cat on her lap urging the servant to continue.

"This servant hear that the Duke will make her as an official adopted daughter. He even gave her the Moon Palace to become her residence."

Madam Garcy clench her fist. She's been in the Duke's residence for 32 years and she knows that the Moon Palace is of great importance to the Duke. Even the first wife wasn't given any privilege to enter it and now it was just given randomly to some stranger? She calmed her emotion and slightly smile.

Now she wanted to meet that bitch who just got something that even the wives of the household wasn't able to get.

"Oh then I should be able to visit the Moon Palace, now that someone is already living in it." she smiled coldly.

"Ahmm..that, the Duke specifically told every servant that no one would need to pay a visit to the Moon Palace except him. He said that even his wives, daughters and son is no exception.

Kale and Anishina who were silently listening was startled upon hearing the news.
