A few weeks after. The Duke's household was on its way to the Dusk Kingdom to attend to the banquet of their king. His first family was on the first carriage, the second on the next carriage and lastly..
"I thought you were not coming?" Gerald was looking at her while raising his brows.
Louise lazily yawned and answered the Duke.
"You are the one who assumed it not that I say it personally."
"Aren't you afraid that they will see you? I thought that you don't like places with so many crowds."
"Naah..not really." she casually answered. I don't like to be bothered by your family though, especially that second family of yours."
The Duke sighed lightly. He was supposed to be in the carriage with his first family but when he learned that Louise will be joining as well he joined her carriage after a brief explanation to Sophia.
Gerald darted his eye to the kid that once was inside Sylvy's body who was now silently sitting beside Louise which the girl noticed.
"You don't have to worry about him. He will not cause a mess I promised. By the way I named him Chillis" She patted the kid's head.
"You seem to have a habit of taking kids into your custody aren't you?"
"It's better to have kids rather than adult to be taken care of."
She tossed a recording device to the Duke while they were talking.
"This is?"
"A gift from me. Take it as a small payment for letting me stay in your household."
Gerald played the recorded information from the crystal and his face suddenly stiffened. Louise was quietly patting Chillis head while observing the Duke before speaking.
"I know that you were quite in dilemma of how to deal with your second wife. I'll give that to you and do what you see fit."
"Where did you get this?"
"From that red hooded Mage."
"How did you get this?"
"Just accept it will you? Why do you have so many questions?"
"You killed her?"
"Ayee..do you see me as a kind person my dear father? I also have a bottom line you see. If you don't bother me then I won't bother you. She just did the opposite so she deserve it."
Gerald was silent for a while before asking. "Kid who exactly are you?"
"You don't have to know that, for now. But I won't hurt your family if that what's bothering you."
Gerald silently nodded. Their carriage travel for three days and two nights before they reached their destination.
