Azalea Johnson's POV

I went inside the building as I followed Alex. He was holding my hands all the time and I loved it, every moment of it.

"Good Evening, Mr. MacWatters," the guard said to him. He nodded at him.

"Good Evening, Lee," he said before the guard looked at me. Alex smiled at him before introducing me to him.

"Lee, this is my bride-to-be, Azalea. You may call her Azalea," he said before I waved at him. He smiled before nodding to me.

"why would you not want him to call me Lea?" I asked him as he punched the button for the elevator. He scowled at me before the elevator dinged and we got inside. No one was there. He punched for the top floor and the door closed. He turned to look at me before trapping me between his strong arms.

"As you said, I don't want him to have any idea about my bride," he whispered as he looked at my lips before looking into my eyes. My breath hitched.

"and you think I wanted you to call me that?" I challenged but I know he would win because he has been since we first met.

"well, it depends, my darling, but I think I would never let anyone call you Lea ever again, except for your family and me. And not even your brother-in-law Ian," he said before he brushed my lips with his before the door opened.

"Ladies first," he gestured to me and before I took another step into his bachelor pad, he scooped me bridal style. I shrieked before he walked inside the house and the lights automatically switched on. I arched my eyebrow at him as I snaked my hands around his neck for support.

"I thought you wanted me to go inside first?" I asked him. He laughed before he looked at me.

"well, I was a man of tradition. My bride-to-be was coming for the first time into the threshold so why not make it memorable as I can," he whispered before his head was coming closer to mine. I hitched a breath but I was closing my eyes when I can sense something was coming from the bedroom.

"Meow~~~" a voice startled me as I looked away from his handsome face to a beautiful little creature at his feet. He grunted.

"Snowball," he said before I got out of his arms. I stood on my feet and I scoot down to look at the cat. It has one green and one blue eye and its fur were white as snow.

"his name is Snowball?" I asked Alex as the cat was afraid to approach me. I took out my hands and slowly, he was trusting me.

"not he, Snowball is a she," he said as he crossed his arms. I laughed at him.

"hey, there kitty. Come here. Come here," I said in my best cat mum voice. Snowball was sniffing my hand before she licked it. I giggled before I pulled her into my arms.

"Meow~~" she purred as she snuggled closer to mine. I looked at Alex as he had moved into the kitchen to put our food down.

"I never thought you to be a cat person," I said as I sat on the sofa with Snowball curled on my laps. She looked so peaceful and my heart bloomed. Alex laughed as I turned to look at him. He has put our food into two plates. Both were steaks.

"I told you I don't—"

"you're so skinny, darling. You need some protein and for lunch, you only eat eggs and veggies. Please, eat this," he said as he put the steak down. Snowball perked up as she smelled something in front of her. She wanted to take it.

"Snowball, no," Alex said in his almost-dad like voice. I laughed before I cut some meat and let Snowball eat on my hands.

"She's hungry. Let her have mine," I said as I looked at Snowball. Those heterochromatic eyes were dazzling as ever. Alex grunted.

"she had her food and that was yours. And I will not let you leave until you finished them all," Alex said before I pouted at him. He cut some of the meat and pushed it toward my mouth. I rolled my eyes but I took a bite anyway.

"How was it?" He asked me. I chewed and chewed on it before I swallowed them.

"a bit dry but maybe because it has been a long time after it was cooked," I said before Alex cursed.

"hang on, I will make it juicy again," he said before picking up the plates and went into the kitchen again. I looked at his retreating back before I picked up Snowball and looked at her face.

"I think your dad was a nice man. Don't you think so, Snowball?" I said as I laid on the seat. My eyes were heavy and for a moment later, I was asleep.

Alexander MacWatters' POV

After Lea made that comment, I went to the kitchen to get it juicy and nice. I can use my power to do that but I don't want Lea to think that I was a freak. Her opinion mattered to me. I smiled at that thought before I went to put the plates on the counter before I summoned my strength to get it done.

"L'eau," I said as I waved my hands over the meats. Water was coming off from my hands before I smiled. It quite amounted but I think after I put it inside the oven, it will be just perfect and nice.

"Lea, the dinner will be ready in 20 minutes," I said as I went to the living room. I saw Snowball was sleeping on the couch as I was approaching her. And then, I saw her.

Lea was sleeping soundly on the couch that my heart ached at the sight. I don't think I ever had a woman sleeping in my apartment. Not that I don't do one-night-stand, I usually bring them occasionally when I feel I don't like to have a fancy date at a restaurant. I went to kneel before her as she was turning in her sleep.

I smiled as I looked at her full lashes, her high cheekbones, and those sinful lips. I sense blood was pumping to certain anatomy of my body. I tried to get my mind out of the gutter but I can't since the siren of my dream was in front of me. She turned again before she was mumbling something unintelligent.

"Alex," she whispered as she was putting her hands under her cheeks. I chuckled as she was breathing with her mouth slightly opened.

"you will be the death of me, my darling," I said as I went to look at her and decided that she might need to sleep in a real bed. I slowly scooped her into my arms and pulled her closer to my chest. She snuggled closer to me. I smiled before I went to stride toward my bedroom.

It was not that grand with so little things that I have in my bedroom. Only the necessities that I needed; a bed, a walk-in closet with my suits and clothes when I was not teaching, some bookshelves that I liked to read and a door that leads to my bathroom.

I slowly put her down on the bed and she stirred as she pulled me closer to her. She was breathing down my neck as I was trying to get off from her.

"don't go, I'm scared," she sleep-talked as I looked at her. She had a peaceful face but her eyebrows were knotting together. I kissed her cheeks.

"Just let me get the meats out and I come back for you, okay?" I said to her before her eyes opened to look into mine.

"promise?" She asked. I nodded at her.

"I promise, my love," I said before I kissed her mouth briefly. Eventually, she let me go before I went out to the kitchen and took out the plates from the oven. I was smiling the whole time as I know that Lea was waiting for me to get in bed with her, only to sleep. Nothing more.

I went to put the meats into the microwave to store it for the morning. I might have to reheat it but I will try to make it juicy and nice just how Lea liked it.

I went to switch off the lights and I went to the bedroom but I headed to the bathroom to change. It was 9 PM but I was exhausted. I went to brush my teeth and clean my face before I dumped my dirty clothes into the basket and just wear my basketball shorts before I headed to the bed.

Lea's hair was sprawling across the pillow that made me wanted to run my hands across it. It was so enticing. I shook that thought away before I went to my side of the bed, left. Lea sensed my body before she went to wrap her arms around my waist.

I chuckled at her before I went to switch off the lights. We were in total darkness with some moonlight coming from the balcony. I kissed her temples before I snuggled against her warmth. My Lea. And with that, we both fell asleep and I think it was one of the best nights of my life.
