Cameron Hayes' POV

For once in my life, I wanted to kill my family for interrupting my moment with my wife. But of course, my wife did not have anything to say about that. She was happy to talk with my mother and I was sitting here, brooding while my father was sipping on his brandy.

"She's a fine woman," he said before I turned to look at Dad. He was staring out the window as he was making that statement. I think he knows me more than I know myself. Because if I caught my father was staring at my wife, I might have to skin him alive.

"Yes, she is a wonderful woman," I said as I was looking at that blondie that I just confessed my love to.

And my heart soared when she asked me to make love to her.

Is that mean she loves me too? I mean, I know that she had a huge crush on me and I think I smiled as I was looking at her right now and then she turned and we made eye contact. She smiled before she looked away as I was licking my lips.

"I guess we better get going, love. We dont want to get into the way with their alone time now, Mia," my dad said as I swore he was a mind reader. He knows how to make himself known that we don't them here now.

"Oh, but it was dark outside. I'm sure you can go to the city tomorrow morning," Ella said as mum was holding her hands.

Dear God!

I was looking at Ella as I arched my eyebrows but apparently, she was not having it at all. I rolled my eyes before mum was happy to stay here.

"Oh, we love to,"

"No!" I said before Ella came to me and whispered into my ears.

"Cam, my love, we can't let them go down that road in the dark. It will harm them. And I promise you tomorrow, you will have anything that you want," she said as her big blue eyes were looking into my green eyes. I arched my eyebrow at her.

"Anything?"

"Anything that you want. I even allow it multiple times," she whispered as she looked at me with a knowing look. I smirked at her before I turned to regard my parents.

"Very well. It's not safe for you guys to drive at night," I said as I was gripping Ella's waist. I will hold her to her promise of tomorrow night, hopefully, my parents will be out of the house by then.

"They have classes tomorrow. And I think we might give them some alone time to talk," dad gave mum his knowing look before mum sighed.

"Fine, but I will not let them having fun until then," she said before Ella chuckled. I turned to look at her before she cleared her throat.

"With that, we bid you guys good night," dad said before he pulled mum with him to the guest room that they were staying here.

"So," I started before Ella went to pour some brandy into two glasses and she was smiling at me before she was taking the glasses and she was handed one to me.

"Thank you. I thought you wanted to—"

"Cam, tomorrow, remember? But for now, why don't we get to know each other first?" She said as she took her seat in front of the fireplace. The fire was burning slowly as I was looking at them before sipping on my brandy.

"Why don't you sit here? And then you can start by telling me about you," Ella said as she was staring at me. I looked at her before I went to take a seat next to her on the couch. We were sitting closely as our thighs were touching intimately.

Ella blushed before she sipped on her brandy and I was smirking at her, tilting my head to get a read of her. She was easy to tease.

"What do you want to know?" I asked before I was looking at her blue eyes as she was staring at me.

"Well, I know that you have a sister. Do you have a brother?" She asked. I shook my head.

"I was the eldest and Sabrina was my only sibling,"

"So, Dylan was like your brother then?" She asked as I smirked at her question. I nodded. "Even though Dylan was my cousin, I always considered him my brother and best friend," I said as I was sipping the brandy before I was laying my arm behind her head. Ella tensed before she snuggled to me. I think she was opening up to me.

"Enough about me. What about you? All I know was that your accent was not American," I said as Ella was looking at me, smirking while sipping her brandy.

"Then, guess where I'm from?"

"I would say the British Isle but I did not know which country,"

"What do you mean?" She asked as she was turning her body to look at me. She was wearing her clothes now, thank God, as her things arrived early in the morning when we were at school.

"Well, there were 4 countries that were considered the United Kingdom. I would guess you from England but your R was very pronounced when you were mad. So, my guess would be on Scotland," I said before she smirked as her eyes twinkled with mischief.

"Aren't you a detective? If you met my uncle Edmond, I think you might be the best friend," she said as she was sipping on her brandy.

"Uncle Edmond? Who's that?" I asked her as I was pulling her even closer to me. She sighed as she was resting her head on my shoulder. I flowed my heat into her as she was cold as ice right now.

Imagine that, I was the one that was supposed to be an ice king was giving heat to my wife, I thought at that.

"He's my guardian. I have been living with him since I was 15 years old. He just got married at that time and I was close to his wife, Aunt Lyana," she said as I was sipping on my brandy.

"Do you visit them often?" I asked her. She shook her head.

"Well, for the last 3 years since I was in the States, I did not go back yet. I wanted to but the budget from working at WWF was not enough for my ticket,"

"Surely, your uncle can help," I said before she shook her head again as she was playing with my hand.

"That's the thing. I wanted to be so independent that I refused to let him pamper me again. I mean, I was only his niece and he has his son now. So, I might as well be independent," she said as I nodded. Then I asked her the million-dollar question.

"What about your parents?" I asked and I sensed that she went stiff. I was looking at her before she continued to play with my hand. I was waiting for her but I did not expect her to answer after her reaction was like that.

"My parents perished in a fire. Our house was burned to the ground and I was sent to live with the only relatives that my mother had. I did not know that she has one. All I know was that she was an heiress from Scotland that eloped with my father. We were happy but that night…" she said before she sniffed. I kissed her head as I can sense her agony.

"You don't have to tell me if you feel sad," I whispered before she shook her head.

"No, I wanted to tell you. The house was being burned to the ground as my father's enemy was envious of him. He was the person that was supposed to marry my mother before she eloped. And then, she refused and she married my dad and have me. They ran to England before that despicable man hired some arsonists to burn us down. I was lucky to survive that night. I was sent to live my mother's brother who was an Interpol detective. He brought down the person that was responsible for their death and that man was hanged," she said as she was sipping on her brandy before she turned to look at me.

"And that's my story. I know it was not a happy one like yours. So, whenever your parents were around, appreciate them while you can, Cam," she said as she was staring into my eyes.

"Because you will never have them back when they were gone," she said as she was leaning closer to me.

"But you have me now and I will not let you leave me early, Ella. My wife," I said as I was leaning toward her as well. She smiled.

"I like that sound. My wife. And you are my husband, Cameron Hayes," she said as I smirked.

"You can say that again," I whispered before we kissed and I felt her left-hand bare. I broke the kiss to look at her bare fingers. I arched my eyebrow at Ella before she smiled sheepishly.

"I have them with me, I just don't want to wear them around showing at people," Ella said as I glared at her. She sighed.

"Fine, I will wear them tomorrow," she said.

"And never take them off," I warned her as I was showing my band.

"I wore them so you must uphold the vow as well, wife," I said as she sighed before she crossed her arms at me.

"I hate it when you're being bossy," she mumbled before I pulled her closer to me as she was sitting on my lap.

"But you love me anyway," I said before I kissed her again and this time, she kissed me back.
