Chapter 31: The Celebration

Daisy Dyer's POV

I was nervous. I never get nervous, EVER. And it was not helping when my aunt was fussing over me when I was holding the bouquet and I was waiting outside the barn house. I know, as silly as it was, it was my aunt's dream for me to have a barn house wedding.

"So, are you nervous?" My aunt asked me when she settled beside me for the walking of the aisle moment. I have been waiting here for over 10 minutes now. The heels were killing me.

"Oh, hush child. It will be over soon. I have always wanted to walk my niece over this barn house for her wedding," my aunt said in a very hushed and dreamy voice that I felt like a bad child when I was complaining about the wedding. We might just go to the city hall and signed the marriage certificate. But no, aunt Milly wanted it to be special, as special is what I get.

A fucking barn house wedding special.

"Okay, here it comes," the wedding march was starting as my aunt was holding me when the barn house door opened. I was looking at the guests that were here but my eyes were focusing at the man that was standing grandly at the end of the aisle.

My breaths caught in my throat as I was looking at him. He was smiling at me and the priest that will officiate us was standing behind him.

Dylan Windell will be my husband and I cannot still handle the truth.

I was looking around when there were the people of our small community here and also, I saw the family of Dylan. I don't know that they were here. I was happy to know that they were supporting this marriage as well.

Or maybe they were waiting for the right moment to strike.

I was holding my aunt Milly's hand tighter as I was closing to the end of the altar. I was looking at Dylan before he took my hand as Aunt Milly kissed him on the cheek. I was smiling before aunt Milly was kissing my cheeks.

It was a tender moment when I know that I will be Mrs. Windell now. I will be out in the city and aunt Milly will be alone here, with the cowboys and in the middle of nowhere. My heart constricted when I thought about it.

"Very well, do you have the wedding vows?" The priest asked before Dylan was holding my hands and he was smiling at me.

"My love, Daisy, I know that I have been a bad partner and lover when we first met but I wish that I will show to you that I am the one for you and you will never regret choosing me to be your husband. I am the only one that will hold you and cherish you forever as I am in love with you that goes to the moon and back. I love you, Daisy Dyer and I wanted you to be the mother of my children, forever," Dylan said as I was smiling before I was swallowing the lump in my throat. Then it was my turn.

"Dylan, my love, I have been wondering who will marry me and I did not think that it would be you. Sure, you are possessive and dominant," I said before some of his family were laughing, "but you are the world to me. I am nothing without your love and I will forever be with you if I could. I love you, my love and I will have the lifetime to cherish it forever," I said as I was looking at him. Dylan smiled before the priest was asking the question.

"Do you, Dylan Windell, take this young woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, in poor and rich, in health and sickness, in good and bad, as long as you shall live until death do yours apart?" He asked as Dylan was smiling when he was looking at me.

"I DO,"

"And do you, Daisy Dyer, take this young man to be your lawfully wedded husband, in poor and rich, in health and sickness, in good and bad, as long as you shall live until death do yours apart?" The priest said as I was looking into his stormy eyes. The storm that only I can tame. I smiled as I was squeezing his hands.

"I DO,"

"With the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," the priest said and with that Dylan took my nape and brought forth my mouth to meet his.

I was smiling as Dylan was eager to be my husband and shared our kiss as a married couple for the first time. The crowd cheered before I was slipping the wedding band on his finger as well as Dylan onto mine. I was smiling like an idiot now.

"Bless you be and have a good marriage," the priest said as Dylan kissed me again and I was being twirled around.

Later, we were having a reception near the barn house as aunt Milly has turned the garden into something that looked like in fairy tale. It was breathtaking as Dylan was putting his hands on my lower back. I was walking with him into the reception before Aunt Milly was surprising me.

"Daisy, look who's here," she said before Lea, Barb, and Ella were behind her. I was screaming and went out of Dylan's embrace before I was smiling at them. They laughed.

"Oh my god, you guys are here. But how?" I asked before Lea was pointing out my husband was talking with some guys. I know one of them was Ella's boss.

"So, they're like to know each other?" I asked them before Barb shook her head.

"Nope, guess again,"

"Um, colleagues?" Another shake.

"I guess I have to go with friends," I said as I was looking at Lea. They were smiling before Lea was sighing.

"Enough, guys. It's her wedding day and she did not know that her husband was one of the best friends with our husbands," Lea said before I was arching my eyebrows.

"Wait, did you say—"

"Yeah, we married them. Well, we all are now," Barb said as she nudged Ella. She sighed before Ella flashed her rings as well.

"Oh my God! You guys get married and I don't even know. Especially you Ella! I thought you wanted to be single forever?!" I said as I was punching Ella's arm lightly. She laughed.

"What can I say? Cam was a very persuasive man and I think I have fallen for that red-headed devil even when he was being rude to me," Ella said before she sighed. As on cue, her husband smirked at her and she perked up. I shook my head at this news.

"Well, I guess we're stuck together again."

"Oh, you bet. I will not let any of you go out without us again," Barb said as she was sipping on the champagne. I was smiling before the gentlemen were coming at us, one with their wives.

"Well, I have to say this is shocking news," Lea's husband said before Barb's husband was smirking.

"For you, maybe. But I can see this coming," he stated before Barb was arching her eyebrow. He whispered something before Barb chuckled.

"Yeah, well, I think it was good that all of us are married and safe," Cam, Dylan's cousin as I just knew that, was glaring at my husband. Dylan gulped.

"Yes, all is well and I hope that maybe later we can say the same to our children," Dylan said before Alex, Lea's husband, was smiling.

"Speaking of children," he stated before Lea was blushing. He smiled as we were waiting.

"I'm pregnant!" Lea said as we were squirming with delight. The guys were congratulating Alex and I was smiling for Lea deserved to be happy now.

"I know, it's a lot to take in but it seems so surreal. Am I being too early?" Lea said as she was looking at us. Barb waved her hand at Lea.

"Girl, you're an assistant professor now. Everything will be okay. You've done your Ph.D. and I think that is great. You can have a baby now and we have been dying to know what gender," Barb said as I was laughing.

"Well, just don't ask me to be next cause I only been enjoying my first month as a married woman," Ella said as she was sipping on the champagne. I chuckled.

"Me neither," I said before we were focusing on Barb. She was eyeing us before she shook her head.

"Uh uh, not me as well. I think Brad will be happy but I will enjoy his sinful body first before I let another took him over me," Barb said before she was sipping on her champagne. I laughed before Dylan was asking me for a dance. And the others went dancing away as well. I smiled before Dylan cause tonight has been the perfect night of my life.
