Chapter 8:Werewolf Attack

"I swear that I'll definitely create more seasonings in this world! Otherwise, I'll probably go insane!"

Lin Ke screamed in his head as he took another bite out of the grilled fish.

The fish had a high-fat content, melting as soon as it entered his mouth. A unique flavor burst out as the juiciness of the fish poured into his mouth with every bite of the lightly charred fish skin.

However, with the lack of seasonings, it felt a bit stale for Lin Ke's tastes.

The first few bites were amazing, but the more he ate, the less appetizing it became.

Lin Ke had enough after he finished the first one. However, he could clearly imagine that the taste would become much better just by adding a pinch of salt.

Well, now that he filled up his stomach, Lin Ke burped out loud as he smiled at Dra.

Just now, when he was eating the grilled fish, Lin Ke asked Dra if she wanted one of the grilled fishes. However, since Lin Ke did not phrase it as an order, Dra, who was not in a state of hunger, declined. She merely sat next to Lin Ke silently.

As he set the remaining grilled fish aside, Lin Ke looked at the time. Based on the refresh timer of the Silver Market, it should probably be around 6 in the evening at that point.

Lin Ke looked outside the tower using the Elemental Tower's special surveillance system. The originally warm sunshine had faded away as it was replaced with a shining crescent moon in the night sky.

This place was similar to Earth. Lin Ke reviewed everything he did on his first day in this place. It seemed like it did not have much difference from Earth, especially in terms of oxygen or gravity.

However, he was by no means a scientist. For him to figure all of this out was already a feat in itself. As for the more minute differences, he did not have the slightest inkling about them.

"Hmm?" As Lin Ke was using the Elemental Tower's special surveillance system to view the moon, he suddenly noticed a black silhouette over in the deeper parts of the woods moving suspiciously. He immediately went on high alert as he focused his attention in that direction.

However, he did not actually need to do that. More than ten tall black silhouettes emerged from the woods, all of them fully covered in long fur. They looked similar to the Werewolves that Lin Ke had seen earlier.

"Are the buddies here?"

Lin Ke muttered to himself. Under his cold monitoring, these tall and burly Werewolves moved towards the location where Dra killed the other Werewolves in the afternoon. Over there, they bent down to sniff the charred ground, as if they managed to make out the scent of their comrades' deaths.

Soon, a loud howl rang out from their mouths as the fiery wrath of hatred burned in their eyes.

They looked over at the only building in this area, growling as they surrounded the Elemental Tower.

"Dra! There are Werewolves outside preparing to attack!" Lin Ke immediately told Dra, "There are more than ten of them, can you take them?"

Lin Ke scratched his head. He could not understand how these Werewolves managed to make out the scent of their fallen comrades, especially since Dra had burnt them to ashes.

Luckily for him, Dra immediately gave him an answer that calmed his nerves. "If we're basing it off of the strength of the Werewolves from this afternoon, then it should not be too big of a problem."

As soon as she finished, Dra picked up her Red Lotus Longsword and charged out of the tower to deal with those filthy Werewolves who dared surround this Elemental Tower.

"Wait a minute!" Lin Ke hurriedly stopped her as he saw the countdown timer about to hit zero at the corner of his eyes. "The Altar should be done soon, maybe it can summon a comrade to fight alongside you."

As soon as the words came out of Lin Ke's mouth, it became an order to Dra. From her assessment, she would have been able to clear out these Werewolves solo. However, since her Lord had already put it that way, then she might as well wait momentarily.

The Elemental Tower's defense was extremely high anyway, even if they were left out there, just these Werewolves would never be able to get into the Tower's main entrance within their lifetimes.

There were 5 minutes left till the Altar was completed. Lin Ke repeatedly switched back and forth between the Elemental Tower's special surveillance system and his actual vision, paying attention to the howling Werewolves around the Elemental Tower and the Altar's countdown timer.

He worriedly paced back and forth and immediately ran out of the Dormitory by the time the Altar's timer reached 1 minute to stand at the Tower's centermost position, awaiting the Altar's construction to finish.

At the same time, the Summoning Hall was also on the verge of completion.

The Summoning Hall could summon Elemental Guards. Lin Ke had a Special Resource Pack with him that would give him 100 Elemental Cores. He was not sure how many Elemental Guards he could summon with those, but he also wanted to send some of them outside just to test their strength.

Since Special Resources could now be obtained through the Elemental Pond, its importance had diminished in Lin Ke's eyes.

As the one minute passed, Lin Ke received a notification stating that the Altar had been successfully built. He quickly ran into the room where the Altar was built in and had a look at the completed Altar.

The Altar looked a little weird. It was just a tall platform with complex patterns plastered all over it. Right as he walked in from the door, he saw that the platform had six different stages with a circle at the center of each of these stages.

Lin Ke was stunned to see that there were two different Altars in front of him as he tried to use it when he entered the Altar's interface.

One was a Basic Altar, whereas the other was a High-level Altar.

Both of these Altars had one free summon, which was amazing news for Lin Ke.

However, he did not just summon them immediately. He first looked at the introduction of the Altar, trying to understand how these Altars work.

From the Altar's introduction, Lin Ke discovered why there were two different Altars in the interface despite only seeing a single one in front of him.

As it turned out, the two Altar in the interface was classified as the Basic Altar and the High-level Altar. The Basic Altar requires a Summoning Card to summon a Hero, whilst a High-level Altar requires a High-level Summoning Card to summon.

The highest Grade of Hero the Basic Altar could summon was Purple, the highest Grade for the High-level Altar was Dark Gold!

In other words, it was the same level as Red Dragon Queen Dra!

However, this was a P2W gacha game, it would not be an easy task to get the Hero the player wants.

The highest Grade here does not really matter. Getting Whites and Blues was just a common occurrence.

When a player uses a Summoning Card in the Basic Altar, it would first give the player a card. Based on the player's luck, the card determines the rarity of the player's roll.

From common to rare, players could get White cards, Green cards, Blue cards, and Purple cards. Then, based on whichever card the player rolled, another roll was made,

This time, it was to determine whether the player rolled a Hero or Soul Shards.

Exactly! The cards that came out of these summonings might not always be Heroes. There was also a high chance for it to be the Soul Shards of Heroes.

A White Hero needed 20 Soul Shards, a Green Hero needed 30, a Blue Hero needed 40, and a Purple Hero needed 60!

Players with good luck would get a full Hero, players with decent luck would get a large number of Soul Shards, whereas players with bad luck would get a low number of Soul Shards.

If he managed to get a full Hero or combine enough Soul Shards, whenever Lin Ke wished, he could summon the Hero at the Altar in front of him by using the virtual Altars.

It did not matter if it was a Basic Summon or a High-level Summon. All of the Heroes summoned in this manner would emerge from this Altar.
