Garden Villa was almost deserted. The man took a look around him. Reassured that no one was watching him, he picked Cloris up, put her into the back seat of his car and quickly drove off.

The Garden Villa remained silent and inactive, as if nothing had happened. A moment later, a figure manifested itself at some distance.

The woman wore a dark dress and walked elegantly. It was none other than Cassandra, who had come to meet Clark.

She had reached where he had asked her to come, but there was no one around. Clark should've been there to pick her up, but she found herself all alone. She wondered what was keeping him.

She waited a few minutes but her patience ebbed away in no time.

Initially, she really wasn't interested in meeting him personally, but it was due to his personal invitation and insistence that she finally agreed to talk to him in private.

It turned out he didn't intend to keep his promise, and that infuriated Cassandra.

She walked back in the direction she had come from without even bothering to contact him.

Meanwhile, Clark's man drove Cloris to the place Clark had told him about. He looked at the woman, who was lying in a comatose state, dialed Clark and reported the events.

Immediately, Clark rushed to the car-park, with a convulsed expression on his face.

"What has happened?"

Clark's voice was intimidating. He knew something had gone wrong judging from his man's hesitant tone.

"Sir, umm… Miss Qin didn't want to come with me. She started screaming to draw other people's attention. I had no choice... I had to knock her out in order to bring her here."

His forehead started to perspire with nervousness. He'd been working for Clark for quite some time now, and he knew how his boss treated his employees.

Clark glanced at him coldly, sending shivers down his spine. It was like his entire body froze in place.

As soon as Clark took his eyes off him, the man hurried to open the car door for him.

"Sir, that was the only way. She didn't want to come with me…" the man explained further, his voice shaking with fear.

Before he could go any further, Clark took a look at the backseat and immediately kicked him hard right in his gut.

He couldn't stand still against the piercing pain in his abdomen and retreated back a couple of steps before falling down on the ground.

"What the fuck have you done? Is this the person I wanted?"

If Clark had a gun, he would even have killed the man! The woman lying on the backseat was Cloris Qin. And, he had told his man to bring Cassandra Qin!

No wonder he said Miss Qin didn't want to come! He had found the wrong person! Of course Cloris would resist!

Blood surged in the man's throat. Silently, he swallowed the blood and struggled to stand up.

"Sir, this is the same person as the one in the photograph you gave me," he explained cautiously.

'How

“Do you still want to run away after what happened last night?”

Their relationship changes overnight. She tries to keep her distance from him, while he comes closer and closer.

Spoiling her, he gives her everything she desires. His only wish is to keep her around. The whole world is envious of what she has.

“Never rush in a relationship,” she says calmly.

The surveillance definitely showed Cloris enter Garden Villa. But then she disappeared from the video and didn't appear again since then. There was a part of Garden Villa that the cameras didn't cover. Cloris was gone after she had entered that area.

Both their hearts beat fast as they wondered how she had vanished in broad daylight.

"Shall we call the police?" suggested Edith hesitantly.

Her voice sounded thick with tears.

"We can only report to the police if she remains disappeared for at least 24 hours."

Cassandra furrowed her eyebrows, gently massaging her aching head as she gazed at the screen.

They watched the tape again and again. Everything seemed natural and normal but it was just so strange to see how she had simply...vanished!

Suddenly, a car driving in the background caught Cassandra's attention.

About ten minutes after Cloris entered Garden Villa, a black car drove out of the villa.

Cassandra had a vague feeling of familiarity but she couldn't tell exactly what was it that was coming to her.

Could it be that Cloris was taken away in that car?

The idea shocked Cassandra. If what she suspected was true, then it was possible that her sister had been kidnapped!

'What should I do?' Cassandra questioned herself desperately.

She too was at a loss, feeling completely puzzled like her mother. Cloris was missing and there was no clear explanation of how that had happened. She couldn't simply jump to conclusions and think that she was kidnapped. The thoughts came to her in waves, pushing her into some kind of maze that it was impossible to come out of.

When the two of them came out from the guard house and walked back to their own house, they walked on the path where Cloris had disappeared from. Suddenly, Cassandra was reminded of something.

'Isn't this the place I agreed to meet Clark at?' she thought in excitement.

"Mom, I know where Cloris is!"
