Cassandra's eyes were also red. "Does it still hurt?" she asked.

Greyson wiped his tears away and answered, "Not anymore."

Rufus suddenly recalled that Greyson wanted meatballs so he suggested, "Cassandra, why don't we go and get dinner? We can find a place that serves meatballs for Greyson."

Cassandra nodded. She just wanted to give Greyson whatever he wanted.

After looking around, Rufus finally found a restaurant that served meatballs.

Greyson quietly enjoyed his meal—a bowl of soup with meatballs. The meal was delicious.

As he ate, tears fell from his face. Since he kept his head down the entire time, Cassandra and Rufus didn't notice.

"Daddy, Mommy, I'm full!" Greyson said after he finished his meal.

Rufus touched Greyson's full stomach, smiling. "Since we're all full, why don't we go and take a walk together?" he suggested, holding Cassandra's hand.

Cassandra nodded. After Rufus paid for the bill, they headed for a walk along the street.

"Daddy, Mommy, I'm going to sing for you!" Greyson said, raising his little head to look at the two of them.

Caressing Greyson's cheek, Cassandra replied, "Great!"

All three were full from their satisfying dinner. They relaxed as they walked along the road with the soothing night breeze.

"Old McDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O; and on his farm he had a cow, E-I-E-I-O; with a moo moo here and a moo moo there; here a moo, there a moo, everywhere a moo moo; old McDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O..."

Greyson still couldn't pronounce each syllable clearly but his voice was clear and loud.

Both Rufus and Cassandra didn't have any experience in taking care of a child but perhaps it was their desire to start a family that helped them ease in to Greyson's unexpected presence.

It seemed as if this child was the missing piece in their family. They had wanted a kid for so long and here Greyson was, filling the empty spot that they had longed for.

Rufus and Cassandra had spent the entire day outside. When they got back, they found Hertha waiting for them in the main lobby.

"Who's this kid?" Hertha asked, curious.

Cassandra held Greyson's hand and led him to Hertha. "It's a long story. His name is Greyson. Greyson, this is Hertha."

"Nice to meet you, Hertha," Greyson greeted Hertha.

Everyone loved kids and Hertha was no exception to that, especially that Greyson was particularly cute too. Pulling little Greyson to her side, Hertha asked tenderly, "Greyson, how old are you?"

Counting using his tiny fingers, he answered, "I am four and a half. I'll be five years old soon."

Despite his young age, he was quite a clever kid.

"Daddy, Mommy, where do I sleep tonight? Can you sleep with me?"

Hertha was surprised when she heard Greyson calling Rufus and Cassandra "Daddy" and "Mommy".

"This is your son?" Hertha asked in shock. 'What's going on here?' Hertha wondered. 'They were only out for a day. How could they have suddenly come back with a four-year old kid?'

It was quite understandable that Hertha was in a state of shock—even Rufus and Cassandra were too when they heard how Greyson addressed them earlier today. They still weren't used to Greyson referring to them as his mom and dad. It seemed as if it still ha

"Do you know what you did wrong? It's alright if you just wanted to own me. But you should not have helped Molly leave me!"

When Brian learns the truth, there is no chance for Hannah to win his heart.

Molly, who wants to run away from Brian, seems to be the only one to blame for Hannah's misfortune...

ha continued, "Where's your sister?"

Greyson shook his head. "I don't know. But she must still be in this city. I'll find her."

"Do you want to stay with me for a while?" I'll help you look for your sister and I'll make sure to feed you so that you don't go hungry."

Eyes widened, Greyson said, "They say that I'm a liar and that they hate me. Don't you hate me, Hertha?"

Beaming at the little boy, Hertha replied, "Of course I don't hate you. I like you. I think you're a really good boy."

It had been a long time since someone called him a good boy. Wiping a few tears from the corners of his eyes, Greyson thought to himself, 'Hertha, Mommy, and Daddy are all so nice to me. They're the nicest people I've ever met.'

"Come on boy, it's getting late now. You should go to bed." Hertha reached out her hand and Greyson grabbed it.

"Hertha, I like you. Can I hug you when we sleep?"

That night, the insomnia that Hertha had been struggling with disappeared. With Greyson in her arms, she felt secure and comfortable.

That night she didn't have a nightmare about Jarrod. Instead, she had a nice and pleasant dream.

In her dream, she was wearing a blue gown. In front of her stood Jarrod.

He extended his arm, a gentle smile plastered on his face.

Hertha extended her arm so that they were holding each other's hand. In this dream, she finally heard the words that she'd been longing to hear from him, "Hertha, I'm back and I'm not going anywhere."

When she woke up, she found that her pillowcase was wet. The little boy rubbed his eyes and looked at her mindlessly. "Hertha, were you crying?"

Hertha recalled her dream. A sense of warmth began to surge from her heart to her entire body, but her eyes were welling with tears.

"I had a very beautiful dream but it was just a dream and it's never going to come true."

That might have been too complicated for Greyson to understand and it was not like Hertha expected otherwise. She just wanted to let Greyson know that she had a dream and she wasn't feeling okay.

Greyson reached out to pull Hertha in a hug and comforted her, "Hertha, don't cry. You have me. I'm here."
