She hadn't thought that the hospital would be such a terrifying place.

Greyson nodded without showing even a bit of hesitation in response to her question. He had no clue why Hertha was acting like that, not coming inside the hospital in spite of the fact that they were already standing in front of its gate.

The boy's resolute answer got Hertha caught between a rock and a hard place.

"Miss Su," a voice suddenly called out to her from behind.

Hertha immediately turned to look toward the direction where the voice came from. Then, she stumbled upon a rather unusual man, as she recalled.

"Mr. Jian, fancy meeting you here," Hertha blurted out. Then, she quickly opened her handbag and pulled out a card. Going through her cards, she found one that could still be used.

"Here. I said I was going to pay you back," Hertha flatly said as she stretched out her arm and handed the card over to him.

Harward refused to take the card. Breaking into a smile, he said, "You don't have to. It was just a shirt. By the way, what business do you have in this hospital?"

Not intending to take no for an answer, Hertha kept her hand outstretched toward him, saying, "I don't like owing anything to anybody."

Harward decided to grab the card from Hertha's hand, thinking that she probably wouldn't stop until he finally accepted it.

He found the way she reacted quite amusing, because to some extent, he had already gotten used to being around women who just wanted to gain something from him. And he had never encountered a woman who didn't show any interest in him until he met Hertha, who seemed to hate being around him so much. It was plain to see that she wasn't happy to bump into him, as though she couldn't wait to get him out of her sight.

And it wasn't like she was just playing hard to get as well. Harward could tell from just a glance that this woman truly didn't want to have anything to do with him.

"Hertha, are we still going to see my mom?" Greyson worriedly asked. Not having any idea how Cassandra was, he was so high-strung.

Seeing how anxious Greyson was, Hertha firmly bit her lower lip. After promising the boy that she would accompany him to the hospital in order to find his mom, she had been left with no other choice but to come in with him in spite of how afraid she was.

"Yes, we're gonna go right away," she uttered, tightly holding on to Greyson's hand and leading him into the hospital.

"Hertha, you're gripping me too hard," Greyson cried out. Behind them, Harward quietly watched as they walked away, trying to eavesdrop on what they were talking about. From out of the blue Greyson wondered, "Are you that afraid of going to the hospital, Hertha?"

Harward couldn't hear what Hertha's response was, but the look on her face and the way she moved implied that she indeed

"Do you know what you did wrong? It's alright if you just wanted to own me. But you should not have helped Molly leave me!"

When Brian learns the truth, there is no chance for Hannah to win his heart.

Molly, who wants to run away from Brian, seems to be the only one to blame for Hannah's misfortune...

o shame at all? Bullying a woman like this?" Rufus questioned Harward in an unusually forbidding tone, with a somber look on his face.

Giving Rufus and Hertha a quick glance, Harward squinted his eyes and asked, "Hertha, is this guy you're currently sleeping with? How did this happen? Did you and Jarrod finally split up?"

"Harward Jian! You..." Hertha intended to tell him that it was such a rude and heartless thing to say, but she was so angry that she couldn't even finish what she was trying to say.

It should go without saying that Rufus himself had also gotten enraged by the spiteful remarks of the man standing in front of him.

"Haven't you ever been educated about how to be polite at all?" he angrily asked as his fist came swinging at Harward.

Unfortunately for him, Harward was actually quite a proficient fighter himself. So, Rufus couldn't beat him, at least not without difficulty.

"That's enough. Stop it!" Hertha yelled in frustration as she somehow managed to calm herself down little by little.

Rufus stopped in his tracks and turned his head to look at Hertha.

"Rufus, I'll be heading back first," Hertha said. Then, she turned her back to him and walked away without any further delay.

Harward wanted to follow her to stop her, but Rufus immediately got in the way and prevented him from doing so. "Mr. Jian, Hertha doesn't like you. You should know when to stop. Don't bother trying to follow her," he bluntly commented.

Giving him a furious glare, Harward carefully examined Rufus from head to toe.

If he was completely being honest, he thought that Rufus looked so intimidating. And most importantly, he could tell that the man standing in his way was far from being inferior to him.

Having said that, they were in Melbourne right now. So, despite the fact that Rufus was indeed powerful and capable, he was not one of the locals.
