As soon as he woke up, Harry felt a pang of dizziness in his head. Before he could recall the events of last night, his phone rang. It was Cassandra calling.

Harry had always expected to receive Cassandra's phone calls.

However, this time, he felt reluctant to pick up her call. It was as if he had done something wrong.

Nevertheless, Harry decided to answer the phone after hesitating for a while.

"Where are you right now?" Cassandra asked right away. She did not even give Harry the chance to greet her with a 'hello.'

He didn't know where he was right now or how he got there. Still lost in his senses, he responded vaguely, "Is there anything wrong? Why did you call?"

Cassandra was hesitant for a second before she continued, "What did you do to the men who had hurt me last time? Where are they? Rufus would like to see them."

Harry was in a daze. "What do you mean?"

"After I told him what had happened last time, he was furious and wanted to hunt those crooks. I don't even know what he wants from them," Cassandra explained.

She didn't know how to explain it curtly, so she tried being more straight forward. As a matter of fact, Rufus just did not want to be indebted to someone else for saving his wife.

He was being jealous, obviously.

So Cassandra had no choice but to make this phone call early in the morning.

It was stressful for her to be forced to call Harry at her husband's watch.

Rufus, however, looked like he was reading some commercial magazine, but in reality, he was listening carefully to every single word Cassandra said on the phone.

Meanwhile, Harry was dispirited to be the lovebird's subject of affection.

"I'm afraid I can't hand them over to you," he replied after a moment of pause.

"Why not? What's wrong?" Cassandra was confused.

Harry rubbed his forehead and answered, "How could they still be safe and sound in my hands?"

Worrying that what he had just said might scare Cassandra, Harry explained, "Don't worry. They are still alive, but they are not here anymore."

As for where they had ended up, Harry didn't have a clue.

Cassandra was shocked for a moment and she didn't speak a word anymore.

So instead, she hung up the phone and stared at Rufus's stern poker face. "Well, you heard us. It's not my fault then," she said, pouting.

Rufus closed the magazine and raised his glance to Cassandra's eyes before responding coldly, "Alright."

Cassandra was puzzled by his attitude. "What do you mean by alright?"

Looking at Cassandra's nervous expression, Rufus couldn't help laughing. "Alright, I was just joking. Do you think I am that narrow-minded?"

Staring at Rufus for a while, Cassandra almost blurted out a yes, but she managed to keep herself silent.

Rufus raised his eyebrows and decided to skip this subject.

"Don't you ever feel annoyed taking me with you all the time?" Cassandra suddenly wondered as she supported her head with both hands.

Rufus threw away the magazine instantly. He walked to the little woman, dragged her in his arms, and planted a long kiss to let her know whether he felt annoyed or not.

Cassandra was caught off guard and instantly felt weak at his soft touch. She managed to glare at him while in a daze, but it was not frightening at all.

Rufus caressed Cassandra's palms and said, "Come on, let's go to the office."

On their way

e tone of his voice. So I thought it would be fine to avenge you." Yazid flashed a cheeky grin, at which Sara sighed helplessly.

After being stuck on the couch for a while, Sara suddenly said, "Brother, dear, I want to go back and stay with our parents."

"What?" Yazid was shocked to hear his sister's unexpected request. "I know you have suffered, coming here for the first time, but why do you want to leave after spending some time here and getting used to this place?"

Although he questioned Sara's sudden request, deep down, Yazid thought it would be better if she returned home to their parents. At least in that way, she could stay away from Harry who he disliked so much.

"I just want to go home," while saying it, Sara closed her eyes with her lashes flapping.

At that point, Yazid finally noticed that something was wrong with his little sister.

"Dear Sara, do you want to tell me what happened?" Yazid walked to her with a sullen look. "Haven't you always been obsessed with Harry? Why would you want to leave him now?"

Sara seemed crestfallen as she bit her lower lip. However, after convincing herself, she managed to answer, "Nothing happened. Brother, could you please stop asking me questions? I just want to go home."

Yazid suddenly realized how serious the problem was. As far as he was concerned, he knew his sister well enough––she was extremely optimistic in dealing with her issues. But this time was certainly different, something was definitely not right.

"Sara, did Harry hurt you? Jesus! I need to let him know that we're not a family of pushovers!" Yazid clenched his fist while howling those words. He might be a drama king in the public's eye, but he was an irritable man who cared a lot about his sister.

"Yazid! Don't go after him!" Sara yelled as her face turned pale. Slowly, she murmured, "It's just that I found out he had been in love with someone else the whole time. It's making me sad, and I never want to see him again. I just wanna go home, okay?"

'So it's all about Harry shutting her down?' Yazid thought, feeling less angry. It was great to know that Harry was in love with someone else. At least it meant that he would not date Sara.

"Sure. When do you want to leave?" Yazid asked.
