1369 Who Is Willing To Stay?

He put his arms behind his head, looking calm and relaxed. "Why don't you continue?"

"Never mind!" Gu Xijiu pushed his hands aside as she rose. Just when she was about to use a spell to get dressed, he immediately interrupted her. "I see that you have refused the benefits that I have to offer. I shall claim mine now." Hence, she was again being held down.

Gu Xijiu clenched her fists. Although her level of spiritual power was already at level ten, her physical competency was still not as good as his. He could still hold her down easily.

Also, he liked to be the one on top. There were times when Gu Xijiu wanted to shift and turn their position around, but her attempts were all in vain. According to his logic, this was a competition. The winning side would decide the role that he or she preferred.

Those who were leaving were Gu Xijiu, Di Fuyi, Luo Zhanyu, Baili Ce, Meng Suyan, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Leng. Also, there were four other men. Two of them were single, another two married.

However, as their spiritual power was only at level seven, which was still below average, they were both hopeless for being selected. Quietly, they stood amongst the crowd and watched.

All of them longed for their long lost freedom. They wanted to do something greater in the outside world. After eight years of time together, Gu Xijiu had completely dominated the community. They looked up to her as their leader and would do anything as she instructed.

As for Di Fuyi, he had not been very keen in the trivial matters. When he did, he was only involved because of Gu Xijiu. In the beginning, they would ask for his suggestions, but he would always pass the matters on to Gu Xijiu instead and let her make the final call. As time went by, they were not counting very much on Celestial Master Zuo anymore, as he appeared to be more like Gu Xijiu's assistant.

Gu Xijiu's eyes swept across some of the potential ones and questioned them, "There are nine of you now, but we can only have seven. Who is willing to stay?"

All seven of them looked at one another quietly. Apparently, all of them wanted to leave.

Gu Xijiu fixed her eyes on the married men. "Zhou Tianci and Wang Yunyuan, do you want to leave as well? What about your wives? Both of them hesitated, as they slowly turned their gazes towards their wives.
