Upper Docks
Knowing he was trapped, David knew that he needs to escape somewhere the sniper could not reach- inside. He looked at the only way was to go back to the ship, or out of the boat. Going back would be hard, the snipers are guarding the single door, and he needed to evade the man hunting after him too.
Looking at other options, The Fool cursed. He could not think of another way. He slowly crawled his way closer to the door, trying his option. When bullets fired one after the other, David scrapped that option.
He gritted his teeth again as pain throbbed from his shoulder. His clothes were soaking up the scarlet blood that escaped. Once again, he crawled into another hiding place. The Fool has survived many things, and he will survive this too. Now, he just needed a way to do so.
With another curse, David scrambled to his feet as he saw Chang Min in front of him. His gun immediately shot at Chang Min just as he was also being shot at. The bullet grazed his ears, making the skin bleed a little.
Chang Min chased after him as he ran once again.
David cursed as bullets began to rain after him. The fact that the snipers don't only have a long-range rifle but also a continuous fire weapon that seemed to have inexhaustible ammunition! Having no more place to hide, with his back on the railing, David did the only thing he could to survive. He flung himself to the ocean. Letting his body be swallowed by the depth of the waters.
Chang Min fired continuous shots at the water, hoping that he could randomly hit the Fool. Yue and Uncle Yu Rong followed him up and exhausted two rounds of ammunition belt.
David had long swum away and into the inner parts of the dock. He would have to escape through the sewers.
Meanwhile, with Ling Ling and Linjun, they continued to run. Their breathes large and gulping air as much as they could while panting. They had run and hid, and tried hard to get out of the boat. Because of the guards surrounding each entrance and exit, they had to lay in waiting, continually moving from empty rooms to hide. Linjun's hands gripped Ling Ling's with a determination to protect her as thanks for Chang.
Linjun peeked his little head from their hiding spot when he heard someone opening the door, his eyes widen as an unknown man's eyes met with his.
He readied his stun gun and prepared himself to protect Ling Ling.
The man raised his hands in the air and said, "I'm a spy. My name is Chen Zhong. I believe Miss Wu Mei Ling knows my father, Father Chen?"
Ling Ling straightened up. She recognized the name of the driver that her father had told them to be careful of, but she was desperate. Ling Ling wanted to be out of this boat. She was just a little girl who wanted a family, not a mutant superwoman.
Ling Ling's fingers unconsciously gripped the back of Linjun's tattered shirt, showing how scared she was. Chen Zhong sighed.
"You can take my gun," Chen Zhong said. He turned his body and offered the gun that was on the holster at the side of his belt. He crouched low enough for Linjun to take it, hesitating only momentarily.
Their slow exchange was stopped when someone opened the door again. Chen Zhong turned his body to see who it was, his heart beating faster in nervousness. He bit the inside of his cheeks for some luck and a lot of miracles.
When another terrorist member went in, Chen Zhong was forced to wrestle the man down. He could not fire his gun since it was already in the little boy's hands, so he did the next best thing. He wrestled and acted fast to knock out the man. Bashing the man's head to the floor, Chen Zhong did it trice.
Ling Ling flinched when she saw the actions. She trembled; it was scary.
Linjun knew that the only chance they have is to follow this man. They would be trapped in the boat indefinitely is they don't take action as fast they could. The Fool may also be searching for them already.
Chen Zhong did his best and led the two kids to the only way he could- the sewers.
On the other hand, Chang ran while following the instructions that Hao Ren was telling him through his small communicator. He prayed that his sister was safe. His little gun was clutched in his hands with unusual force. It was the only way he could defend himself. Letting it go would guarantee his death if he encounters more terrorists.
Slowly, his panic expression hurried when he saw not one but two familiar faces. He jumped in excitement and lunged to hug the leg at his father that he had once kicked before he was adopted. His eyes couldn't help but burst like a dam, and he could taste the salt of his tears.
"Shhh, you are safe." Yang patted his head, ruffling his son's hair with his hand that had no gun, before he continued, "Go with Alexandre. He will take you out of the ship. You've done well. I heard what you did from Hao Ren. I will try and find Ling Ling and Linjun."
Chang nodded and told, "Be careful..."
Yang bent down to hug Chang, "You too. I am proud of you. Be strong for a little more. Your mother and your three little brothers are waiting to meet you."
Chang's eyes flashed with happiness. Yang's words added more courage to his spine.
With a nod, Alexandre carried Chang to the sewers while Yang search for his little girl, killing all Arcadia members without remorse. His hands bloodied, and his emasculate clothes were slowly drenched in scarlet.
