Chapter 63: You Do Realize You Are Dying Right?

Seeing Lin Yuan motionless, Lilith raised her eyebrows in an arc and smirked. She knew that Elder Lin was certainly not going to unveil her face.

"Looks like you won't be getting anything out of me today." Lilith looked down at her and blew on the nail of her fingers. The nails on her finger were sharp and long with a beautiful black luster that made them look oddly seductive.

She stole a glance at Lin Yuan and gave a light chuckle when she saw her stubborn eyes. It made her want to see what was under the veil even more, the expression she was making with her mouth and cheeks.

'Should I go and do it myself?' Lilith was itching to go and do it but she calmed herself down.

'But where is the fun in that?' She shook her head and relaxed her excited nerves that were urging her to jump and pin down Lin Yuan and remove her veil.

But that being said, it was going to look a lot better if Lin Yuan was the one who was to strip away the veil with her own hands.

"I won't give answers to anything. I  swear little girl." Lilith raised her hand in a surrender pose to give her the last chance she needed to comply with her terms and conditions.

Even with what she said, Lin Yuan was not moving her hands to remove the veil from her face.

"oh well.." Lilith shrugged her shoulder, making the metal chains that were hanging from her neck, collided with each other and produced a hard metallic sound.

'Looks like I can make you accompany me for a while.' She thought and continued with her work of doing manicures on her nail. Her nails were starring to get rusty since she had not used them for years.

"Looks like you won't be  going out of this place anytime soon….wait what?" Lilith was about to say something more when she fell short of words. Her eyes almost jumped out of her socket when she saw Elder Lin place down her sword and raise her hand to untie the laces of the veil.

"You are taking off your veil?" Lilith sounded more shocked than surprised. When she ha placed her hand on her shoulder, she had sensed the reluctance of Lin Yuan to show her face. It was as if it was connected to the bitterness and unpleasant memory in her.

"Didn't you ask me to do it?" Lin Yuan paused whatever she was doing and looked at Lilith with confusion evident in her eyes.

"Yes but aren't you supposed to be stubborn and say that you won't do it?" Lilith knew how people hated having their sore spot dug out by someone else.

"I think its fine." Lin Yuan simply shrugged her shoulder and resumed her task.

"Plus I think you have to see this. This is probably the reason why you wanted to see my face." She looked at Lilith with eyes filled with mockery.

The aura and presence she sensed when An Cheng and Le Fang Ling had a small duel, the same sensation she felt when she brought out the purplish flame and now, the fact that Lilith was hell bent on having her take off her veil made her realize on very important thing.

"You are one of those aren't you?" Elder Lin slipped took off the pin from her hair which held the veil and made it fall down in one swoop.

"One of those who did this." She tilted her head as she looked at Lilith, her lips stretched in to a wide but forced smile.

Lin Yuan turned her face to her right aside, making the burnt marks on her skin even more evident.

Lilith stood up from her chair and flew towards Lin Yuan in a simple step. Her hand reached out to her face, to the  red and purple bruise on her snow white cheeks.

Elder Lin was somewhat repulsed by the touch on her face but she held her round. Flipping out after all this was not going to be on her favor. She was already corrupted and tainted. Another corruption was noting serious.

Hell! She did not even care is she died at this point since t was to happen sooner or later.

Lilith knitted her brows in a painful frown as she looked at the distinct scar on the face that spread from the bottom of her right chin to her ears like a huge crack on a lava floor.

With her fingers, she traced the lines of the bruise, her caressing touch was as gentle of the morning breeze.

"What are you doing?" Lin Yuan felt shivers down her spine when Lilith caressed her wound. It was oddly calming but it made her stomach turn and twist making her wanting to throw up everything inside.

"Hmm…" Lilith let out a groan as she looked at her face.

'Don't tell me she is feeling sympathetic towards me?' Lin Yuan tried reading what the expression on her face meant.

"This scar.." Lilith stopped touching her scar but her hand never left the face. She turned to look at the hazel eeys of Lin Yuan. The frown on her face suddenly smoothened out.

"This scar is what?" Lin Yuan repeated after her.

"….It's beautiful." Lilith smiled as she once again traced back the bruise line from the back to the chin.

Lin Yuan: "…." Yes, I definitely met a pervert.

"Whatever," She scoffed and swatted away the hand from her cheek. She could not adept being touched by her.

"It is beautiful but this is not meant for you." Lilith knew very well what it was. It was a curse mark, a corruption from the glorious clan she belonged to.

It was not technically a curse for the people of her origin  but for someone like Elder Lin who followed the righteous path and solely depended on natural and pure spiritual energy to cultivate, it was equivalent to poison.

"You.." Lilith looked at her hand that was pushed away by Lin Yuan with a frown which changed in to a smile when she thought of something.

"Hey, human girl." She placed her hands on Lin Yuan's shoulder once again.

"What now?"

"You do realize you are dying right?" Lilith leaned forward and placed her face in the crook of her neck and whispered in a low voice.
