Chapter 133: The Annual Tournament: Let it Begin!!

On the bottom of the vermillion bird peak, the Vineyard Village was hustling and bustling as usual. As a matter of fact, it was livelier than ever with many people crowding the streets and inn.

People of all shape, size and color were walking around. While few people had been here since the day of the harvest festival, many people had appeared just today in the town.

Among these new influx of people, a few group of people stood out.

Those were the groups of sects from all over the continent. Few small and unknown groups were also  there but in front of the aura and charm of the entire prominent sect clans, they were comparable to insects in front of elephants.

There were a few rogue cultivators as well who had come to this town to take part in the annual tournament.

Since the place was flooded with both participants and audiences, everyone was trying their best to  find a reasonable place to stay at with a reasonable and affordable price.

Lavishly dressed cultivators  stood out from this crowd without even having to do any effort.

"Hey kid!" A fat man draped in a blue robe and a silver hair pin tucked in his hair called out to a small boy who was carrying a few trunks. He snorted a bit as he watched in disgust at the boy who was trembling slightly as he dragged the heavy bags with him.

His scrawny and weak body definitely was not meant for doing all the menial job that he was doing. Still, for the sake of surviving, he had no choice to work like a donkey even when he was on the verge of collapsing.

Lucky for him, there were many people coming to take part in this tournament. That also meant, he had more customers and more ways to earn money than any other time.

But, maybe he was too greedy for his own good. The man whose belongings that he was carrying turned out to be a total nut job that he had not expected.

While the man unexpectedly had many many bags and belongings, his personality was equally shitty and domineering. Just from the way he was talking with his fellow brothers and sisters from the same sect already was more than enough to see what a big jerk he was!!

He even heard someone call him senior brother Le.

'He is indeed a rich young master,' he mumbled to himself as he balanced the bag he was carrying.

But work was work and he did not want to offend a young master form some kind of prominent family that he even had no idea of.  He was better of having less people know about his existence. After all, the lower number of people who knew him, better it was.

"Don't you have ears?" Le Lao Ling once again called a bit frustrated. The journey to the vermillion bird peak was one hell of a ride. Thinking about all the unpleasant memories of the journey, he felt angrier than ever.

He even snapped at one of his junior sister who slightly bumped into him.

"Watch where you are walking, pig!!" He shouted at her. He even raised his hands to hit her but stopped midway when he saw the dangerous glare of his father who had been standing silent all this time. If eyes could kill, Le Tao ling would have died long ago.

The boy who was carrying the luggage always knew that cultivators and immortals were powerful and scary but little did he know the extent of their power went to this level. Just by standing there, he could feel the immense pressure that their body emitted.

His whole presence was something he could not even look at without feeling intimidated. Thinking back to his actions, he finally felt that he did something correct for not speaking back to the spoilt young master no matter how much angry he felt.

His father, the patriarch of the Le family was not someone who should be angered. And Le Zuan was someone you did not want to mess up with.

The carrier boy gulped down his saliva as he cautiously looked at the group.

"Take us to our inn," Le Zuan calmly ordered the boy. He looked around at the crowd that had gathered to look at the commotion they were making. He forced a straight smile on his face as he looked around at the crowd to show that everything was alright.

Unknown to the crowd, Le Zuan was clutching his sword to the point his hand was starting to get blisters from it. If it was not for the fact that they were here to represent whole of the southern province, he would have already unsheathed his sword.

The crowd could feel their hair on the body rising to their ends just from his glare. Without a moment's delay, all of the people scattered around and went about doing their own works. They did not want to die an unexpected and early death.

Seeing that the crowd had finally dispersed, Le Zuan looked at Le lao Ling and all of the other disciples for a bit before turning his eyes to the carrier boy who was waiting for the order from him to start moving.

"This way, oh great master," the boy said out in a humble tone with a smile. Without even waiting to get any kind of response, he simply turned around and started to walk towards one of the most expensive inn in the town.

After the blue robed cultivators from the southern province had walked away from the center of the town, everyone heaved a sigh of relief. But they were a bit too early to do something like that. Because no sooner had they left the center of the tween, it was occupied by another group of cultivators from one of the region.

The cultivators who had just arrived in the town were adorned in light and lavish purple robe. They did not make any sound and the face of everyone was pursed into a neutral expression. No one smiled or greeted the locals.

No one ha anything on their hands. They marched into the town with their sword being the only thing that could be seen as their belongings. As for the other things, there were none. All of the necessary materials were kept inside their spatial ring?

·        As one of the strongest and richest sect, the sect from the west had its own kind of press end glamour. Unlike the group from before, this group looked much more sinister and composed. They had their won charm despite the fact that they not even smelling.

The townsfolk looked at the group of cultivators waking with n awed expression on their face. They were solemnly?

Even now, they look  too sophisticated and looked as if they were from completely different world.

Without having anyone to guide them, the leader of the sect who was dressed in a heavy purple and black cloak with a hair pin on his hair led the entire group of people to another of the best inn in the whole town.

With their back straight, chin high and tummy in, all of them walked into their inn which was allocated just opposite to the inn where the people from southern province were living. Both the sect leaders looked at each outreach other with a contempt but their mouth did not cease smiling.

Both of them nodded before heading inside their own inn. The relation among the sect leaders had never been the nicest out there but now that there was the Tournament on, the rivalry between the two sects had gron along with it too.

Meanwhile, the sea of the purple robe, there was a boy who was looking a bit worried.

'Psst, fuzz ball, anything wrong? Mu Ting whispered when he felt some sort of disturbances in fuzzy spirit of his. Their soul contract has gotten een stronger and now, he could feel everything about the spirit depending on the situations.

Just as they had entered the town and walked towards teri own inn, he could feel that the fuzzy spirit, the so called dangerous form who brought pain, fear and suffering was instead getting afraid of a few immortals

'You scared?' He asked to fuzzy when he did not get ny response from her.

"I am not sacred, just a little bit cold," he could hear the tiny voice of fuzzy echoing inside his head.

Although he was sure that it was not the truth, he did not know how to say it. Plus, they haven't been that close yet but seeing the fuzzy spirit terrified was definitely not a pleasant experience.

"You sure?"

"Yes, I need it more than anything," Fuzzy said with a playful voice.

"Ohh, if you say so," he shrugged his shoulder as he pushed open the door of his room. Fuzzy who was hiding in herself nodded her head before her attention turned to the two people who were walking away from her.

"So we finally meet again," she mumbled lightly as she looked at Le Zuan and his son, her anger and resent increasing at every mention of them.
