Liam Hunt's POV
Mia, Marco and I were heading toward an abandoned warehouse that was located not far from the organization's headquarters. It was dark, murky and full of spider webs as it was not being resident for many people.
"Okay, here's what we need to do," Mia said as she looked at us.
"Marco, you went inside the east entrance and get ready the tranquilizer gun. If Ivan was out of control, get ready to shoot him. Liam and I will try to distract him on the ground," she said as she looked at her watch.
"shit, he's been off medication for almost 18 hours, he might be a little too crazy than a normal person," Mia said, chuckling. I smiled at her joke before she cleared her throat.
"ready, get into position, now," she said before we split up. I went to walk with Mia into the warehouse as Marco went out in the back to get the backup plan ready.
"if you don't mind me asking," I said as Mia nodded at me.
"what was the cause for your uncle's bloodthirst?" I asked as I looked at Mia and followed her into the abandoned warehouse.
"well," she started as she ducked all the trespassing tapes and police's yellow tapes, "he started behaving like this after I was 18 years old. Then the organization told me that he cannot operate for the organization anymore. That's was the time that I need to take over," Mia said as she was looking around the warehouse.
"uncle! Come out! We don't want to hurt you!" Mia screamed as I was looking around for peculiar things. I mean, in an abandoned warehouse, everything was peculiar. I scotched to the ground and looked for any fresh human tracks.
"he's not here," I said as I looked around for any tracks that can be done by a psychotic human being.
"those windows are not being disturbed, the furniture was in place and apparently the lights are…" was the last thing I said before Mia screamed.
"Watch out, Liam!" She screamed before I was brought to the ground.
"ugh," I grunted as my face was connecting to the ground.
"ah! You look just like your father, boy. I don't think I forget you. You and your father was the reason that the love of my life died!" Ivan screamed as he was jumping up and down like an ape.
"You should have not been born into this world!" He said before he took something off the ground. It was a wretch as he was ready to punch me with it.
"uncle, no!" Mia screamed as I quickly blocked his attempt.
"Damn, you're strong for an old guy," I hissed at him.
"I worked out, don't you know that?" Ivan said as he was releasing me and get off me. He went to the side of the room before taking out a gun. I saw it as Mia was trying to go to him.
"Mia, duck!" I screamed as I pushed Mia to the ground. Ivan was shooting randomly as he was laughing like a maniac.
"Marco, are you ready or not?" I shouted as we tried to find cover from the flying, random bullets that can kill me or worse his own niece, Mia.
"Just fucking do it already!" I shouted again as I looked up to find Marco wherever he was hiding.
"It takes time to make something delicate," he shouted back.
"and moreover if you want to use the bioweapon," he mumbled as he was locking and loading the Dragunov. He was getting ready for aim and was pointing it at Ivan. And of course, Ivan saw it before he ran away from us.
"Damn it," I hissed before getting up and help Mia to her feet.
"on the back, he would always play in the backyard," she said as she was panting.
"you guys have a backyard?" I asked as I looked at her. She chuckled as she punched me lightly.
"no, silly, it's where my uncle Ivan would always hide whenever he feels afraid," she said before getting to the back door of the warehouse.
"come on," she called for me before taking my hand and led me the way to the 'backyard'. It was even darker and smells pungent.
"ugh, what died and give out sulfur?" I said as I was walking behind Mia.
"Me," she said simply.
"ugh, why would you do such a thing?" I said as I was gagging and choking half to death.
"it's keeping him sane and calm, he always weird like that," she said as she went inside.
"Mia, wait up," I said as I followed her inside.
"uncle! It's me, Mia. I'm here to help," she said as she was walking around the room.
"I don't think you should go to a psycho without any backup," I whispered at her. She rolled her eyes at me before saying that I should wait outside.
"wait, who, me?" I asked surprised. I looked at her and she was unamused by my surprise.
"yes, now go out and tell Marco to stand by," she said as she pushed me out of the room and locked it. I was standing outside like an idiot before Marco came right next to me.
"ooh, got locked out. bummer, well, for you. Not me," he said as I looked at him, annoyed.
"damn it," I said as I went back and forth to get inside.
Mia Duncan's POV
"Uncle Ivan! Uncle Ivan. Uncle Ivan! Come out, come out wherever you are!" I shouted as I was walking around the room.
"don't come near me, you traitor," his voice echoed inside the room.
"it's okay. The boy has gone. It's only me," I said as I went to look for him.
"I did not teach you to get with the enemy. I teach you to manipulate their feelings and use for your own advantages," he said as he walked out of the dark. The gun was still in his hand. Damn it, Hunt when he's always right, I thought as I looked at the Glock.
"so what shall it be, Mia? Using your enemy or be one of them," he said as he pointed his Glock at me. I needed to think like a mad person. I don't want to get shot or risked others to get shot. I need to think fast.
"so which one is it?" He asked as he was playing the gun, left and right, left and right. I gulped as he was dangerous can pull on the trigger and the bullet can go anywhere. I looked at him as he was smiling wickedly at me.
"So, Mia, which one?" He asked before he pointed the gun at me.
"the answer is neither," he said as he pulled the trigger. I was bracing for impact
Bang!
I waited and waited for that bullet to come through me. I slowly opened my eyes as I looked Liam was standing in front of me and he was bleeding as the bullet hit his stomach.
"ugh," he grunted before he stumbled to the ground.
"Damn it, traitor, get out of the way or I'll…" was the last thing that my uncle said as I went lap Liam in my arms.
"Liam, no, no, no. don't die on me, stay awake," I said as I looked at his bloody hand. I took his hand into mine as the tears, the tears that I never shed before, were falling slowly onto my cheeks.
"no, no, no! Liam, don't leave me!" I said as I was cupping his head.
"ha. Haha. Hahahahaha! I finally killed the last line of that traitor," my uncle was screaming happily when I was crying. I looked at him jumping up and down.
"Why you," was the last thing I said before Ivan was frozen and stumbled to the ground. I thought he finally died but his small breathing made me want to tear him apart.
"looks like I came right in time," Marco said before he looked at Liam's condition.
"damn, Hunt, you sure can take a bullet," Marco tried to lighten the mood before I wanted to punch him real bad. My hand was almost to hit his face when Liam was holding it.
"don't waste your energy on this guy, he's always useless," Liam said as he was coughing up more blood and blood spewed everywhere.
"hold on," I said as I asked Marco to call the ambulance and also a psychiatric hospital. My uncle has gone so far, it's time to take my own action in this matter.
