Chapter 10: The Girlfriends

Alina Dalca's POV

I just can't believe that I just exposed myself to Valentino about my sexual relationship with Kyle. It was the most humiliating day of my life.

"I really need to get out of this country as quickly as possible that I can," I said as I was holding the glass for the bartender to fill up.

"that's very not unusual. Much of the Romanian wanted to get out of the country as fast as possible," he said as he went to put down the whiskey that I asked him.

"Cheers to that," I said before getting on the sip that I have been waiting for so long now.

"Alina, have you been drinking?" Sabrina's voice was filling up the bar,

"Oh shit, mummy's here," I mumbled before putting down the glass and turned to look at Sabrina.

"Sabby, I don't know you're here," I said before pulling her into a hug. I saw Camila and mouthed her that she did not tell me about Sabrina.

"of course I would be here, I don't want you to drink all by yourself," Sabrina said as she took a place next to my right and Camila to my left.

"Where's Mia?" I asked as I don't see her coming into the club.

"oh, you know, here and there. She had been traveling with Liam since they get married," Camila said as she mentioned to the bartender for a dry apple martini.

"I'll have a beer, thank," Sabrina said before the bartender nodded at them.

"that's must be nice," I said as I was holding my glass before taking a sip.

"Yeah, wait till they have a baby, then we'll see how that turned out to be," Camila said smirking at her drink. I nudged her on the elbow as I shook my head at her.

"Good thing we still singles," Sabrina said as she took the glass and drink in one shot.

"Another, please," she said as we looked at her.

"Sabby, do you want to talk about anything that was bothering you?" I asked her.

"Yeah, it looks like you have a drinking problem," Camila added before Sabrina turned at us sharply.

"or not, your choice," Camila added as she took a sip of her drink. Sabrina sighed as she looked at the glass and played with its edge.

"I don't know guys, I have been in trouble, lately, with Alfred as he said that indeed to go to the United States to help someone that works with the CIA. And you know me, I don't do good to the federal government after what they did to my family," Sabrina said as she was gripping her hands.

"oh, Sabby, why don't you talked to Alfred about that?" I asked her. She scoffed at my suggestion before sighing.

"I don't know what to say. He was basically our dad and you know how I feel about family. I don't want to disappoint him," Sabrina said as she took another beer.

"what are you doing in Romania, by the way?" I asked her as Sabrina and Camila were supposed to be on their solo mission.

"I have some audition in Lisbon and since my mission is in Portugal, you know I would come here for good drinks with you, Alina," Camila said as she looked at me while holding her glass before drinking it.

"I have to attend some stupid party for Alfred as a replacement. I also suppose to meet my accomplice at that party. It was in Italy in 2 days time, so I have time to spare for you, Alina," Sabrina said as she took her drink as well.

"well, that's a good thing to have you guys around. Maybe if we have all of us, that would much better," I said as I hugged them.

"well, you know, Mia was busy with her newlywed's life and Anastasia was busy to cure her beloved of those disaster drugs that she helped build at the old organization," Camila said as she looked at me.

"Why don't we go out of this place and went out to paint the town red?" I suggested as they both nodded.

"I hope we have the best night for ourselves. Cheers, Girls!" Camila said as we held our glasses and clinked before we drank it in one shot.

After drinking at the bar, we went sightseeing in the middle of the night. We were in Bucharest and it was very lovely at night. The lights were coming into life and there were many tourists that were kissing along the bridge that we went there. It was the best day that we have been releasing out the stress.

"I must confess, I think I have found the love of my life. But he was so arrogant and stubborn that I don't know what to do with him," Camila said as we were laying down on the grass at the park.

"Yeah, been there, done that. My guy is also stubborn and very hotheaded. I can't even make a decent argument with him," Sabrina said as we were stargazing and the laughter of the tourists really made our night less lonely.

"wait, you guys have a boyfriend each?" I asked them as I got up from the grass.

"When is this happening?" I continued.

"and why don't you guys tell me?" I asked again as Camila and Sabrina got up from their grass.

"We don't. We just have some coincidence that led us toward the same person," Camila said.

"Over and over again," Sabrina said as they looked at each other.

"And we know who to blame that," I said as I looked at them.

"ugh, we're being played again," Sabrina said as she looked up the sky before getting down on her back as she laid on the ground again.

"but do we really hate them? I mean Alfred and Valentino? They helped us to get the person that seems opposite of us," Camila said as she looked at us both. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Cami, Alfred, and Valentino interfered with our lives. They promised that they will not get involved with our personal lives and how we lived them," I said as I looked at her.

"right, but do you really hate it?" She asked.

"yes!" Sabrina and I said simultaneously.

"Okay, okay. Jeez. You guys are worst than Mia," Camila said as she closed her ears.

"Well, Mia found her own happy ending even though we have to help her," Sabrina said as she looked up into the sky. Her phone rang before she got up and looked at the number.

"Shit, it's Alfred. I need to get this. He might be asking me if I have arrived in Italy or not," Sabrina said as she took off to answer the phone.

"huh, beats my schedule," Camila said before her phone rang.

"Shit, it's my manager, I need to answer this," She said before getting off and speak Portuguese. Sabrina came after a few moments she left us and she looked at me apologetically.

"Sorry, Alina. I have to go. I need to catch the first bus from Romania to Italy," she said.

"Alina, I have to get going too. The audition has been moved from the original timing. I'm sorry," Camila said as she bowed at me. I waved them off.

"it's okay. I'm sorry I dragged you guys from your original plans. Go on without me," I said before I got up and hugged them.

"I promise I will bring back some souvenir after my audition," Camila said as she kissed both of my cheeks.

"I will too. But I won't be coming for a while. I have to go to the United States," Sabrina said as she looked at her watch.

"We need to get going, have a safe trip," Sabrina said before we grouped hug.

"promise me to call when you guys arrived," I said as I looked at them. They smiled before nodding.

"Will do, see you again," Camila and Sabrina said as they went from my sight. I was left alone again as I have made Kyle forget about me again. For the first time that night, I felt like I was alone in this world.

"Can I join you for the night?" A familiar voice came into my eardrums. I smiled as I looked up to see into his deep blue eyes.

"why, dear brother? Don't you have places to be?" I asked before Luke took his place next to mine.

"I just came to warn you about something," he said as we were looking at the sky at the same time.

"About what?" I asked him. He handed me the files to me. I looked at the front page.

"Vladislaus De Ville, a nice touch to the name," I said as I looked at Luke.

"Remember, sister, he is a powerful and influential person. Be careful," he said as he took my hand.

"since when I haven't?" I asked him.

"since you get involved with Conti," he said and I blinked.

He was gone.
