In the center square of Stromgarde Keep, a female Elven Mage stood upright with a staff in hand.

On the side, Meryl Winterstorm, the little miser, was feeling the heat, albeit it was not from the pressure to compete for the number one spot. Regarding whether or not Sean was capable of casting Fireball, Meryl Winterstorm only had good wishes for Sean because his real concern had always been money!

Sean stood in the center square. Ten meters in front of him was a human-shaped target made out of straw, better known as a scarecrow.

When Sean extended his left hand, Fire Elementals began to amass in the hollow of his palm.

10 seconds later, these Fire Elementals crystalized into a sphere to the size of a basketball.

Sean gently closed his eyes as he activated his Mental Energy. Mobilizing and freeing the Arcane energy in the air, he compressed the Fire Elementals in his palm over and over again.

Another 10 seconds had passed and finally, the Fire Elementals were compressed to a knuckle-sized Fireball.

"Fire!"

"Swoosh!"

With twisting and turning motions, the Fireball flew straight at the scarecrow, landing right in the chest.

"Bam!"

Following a loud explosion, the scarecrow was blown apart, leaving only its torso burning with raging flames.

It was a success!

Sean let out a sigh of relief. He turned his body and faced the female Elven Mage with a huge grin.

Oh yes, he succeeded. He succeeded in casting Fireball.

In other words, at this very moment, he had made the cut to become an official Mage.

With that, a change was observed in the Main Class section of his Spatial Garrison's Stats Interface.

[Main Class: Low Rank Mage (Level 1).]

[Mastered Spells: Summon Water Elemental (Level 0), Summon Fire Elemental (Level 0), Fireball (Level 1).]

Sean was grinning from ear to ear.

It took 7 whole seconds before Meryl Winterstorm cried out in surprise.

"Sean! You did it! You really did it! You have officially become a Mage! The first official Mage in the history of mankind!"

The female Elven Mage finally recovered from her shock.

Indeed, Sean succeeded and became an official Mage.

This was the first official Mage in the history of Humankind. Their hard work had not been in vain.

Anasterian Sunstrider, High King of Quel'Thalas had made the right call; the Humans' gift in Magic far surpassed the Elves' imagination. Moreover, the Elves paled in comparison when it came to their assiduous drive, undying determination, and rich creativity.

It took Sean less than a month to become an official Mage and Meryl was not far behind him. In addition to this, dozens, if not hundreds of Humans had made huge progress.

Perhaps it would not take a year for dozens and hundreds of official Mages to emerge amongst the Humans. When the time came, they would be a force strong enough to turn the tables of the war.

Although they were still weak, there was room to make significant strides. At the rate they were progressing, they would level up to Mid Rank Mages, then High Rank Mages in a few years' time...

The war between Quel'Thalas and Zul'Aman Trolls had been going on for a while, so what was a few more years?

The female Elven Mage saw the hope for victory in Sean.

She had the urge to gasp, shout at the top of her lungs, cheer, and leap in joy.

However, she held back.

Tears gushed out of her eyes. The female Elven Mage cried out of joy.

Watching as Sean and Meryl embraced in laughter, happiness crept into her heart.

She wanted to let King Thoradin in on all the details, notify Anasterian Sunstrider, and send word to every Human and Elf.

She wanted to hold a grand ceremony for Sean. Humans and Elves needed celebrations as an encouragement.

Coincidentally, Sean was a Half-Elf, a descendant of an Elf and a Human.

Would that not make him a bond between Elves and Humans bestowed by heaven?

The ceremony was held on the next day.

Seated on the throne in the King's palace, was King Thoradin while the female Elven Mage stood erect beside him.

Dozens of Arathorian Nobles and Knights stood beneath. They were all waiting.

There were also 4 Elven Mages standing in the opposite direction with faces lit up in anticipation.

Hundreds of Humans on the path to acquiring Magic crowded outside the palace. Meryl Winterstorm took the lead and was describing the scene in which Sean unleashed Fireball to the others.

Everyone was watching the time.

Sean finally made an appearance.

Although pressed for time, the royal tailor had managed to rush a magnificent Mage Robe in just one day. It was tailored using valuable materials. The robe, outlined in gold and silver, was personally embedded with the female Elven Mage's Enchantment. The blue glow was a telltale sign of its Quality.

A Blue Rare Equipment with Green Intermediate Enchantment.

The value of this Mage Robe was fairly high.

Sean held a staff in his hand.

The staff was from the female Elven Mage's collection. Although it was only of Green Uncommon Quality and incomparable to the one she held, its value was no lower than the Mage Robe. The Quality of Enchantment was a similar Green Intermediate.

Clothes made a man.

From head to toe, Sean's Equipment had transformed the common young Half-Elf into a noble Mage.

Right there and then, all eyes in the palace were on him.

Sean came to the center of the palace and motioned a Mage's salute before King Thoradin and the female Elven Mage.

The female Elven Mage smiled, so did King Thoradin.

"In the name of Arathor, I confer Sean the title of Arcane Saint. Sean, you're the symbol of Humankind, the pride of Arathor!"

The female Elven Mage motioned forward and grabbed Sean's left hand to place a glowing blue ring on his finger.

"In the name of Thoradin, I grant you Arathor Gold Medallion. In the name of Selena Springdew, I grant you this enchanted ring." Thus, the ceremony came to an end. With Sean's Side Quest, 'Arcane Saint' finally completed, Sean obtained the deserving reward.

Including the 3 from the ceremony, he had received 4 pieces of Equipment in total. Each of them were very valuable.
