Chapter 25

The heavy stench of blood filled the evening air. Lifeless bodies lay scattered as blood continuously poured out and drench the ground. A man wearing a fire red robe is floating in the air like a deity looking down on some mortals below. Powerful energy ripples can be felt coming from within him.

Below stood several young men, and in the middle is a youth wearing a black leather jacket and a leather pants which is not common in this world.

When the gaze of the floating man called elder Martin went to Shin Jiao, he felt a strong familiar sensation going through his body especially in his dantian. He didn't know what it was but he knows that it came from the Li clan elder.

"You boy, will have to come with us in the Li clan. The clan leader will bestow the punishment on you for offending us and killing some of our disciples."

Elder Martin with an authoritative voice commanded. Lifting his hand he sent his force to restrict the movements of Shin Jiao.

When the restricting force was felt by him, he quickly recognized it. It's like the force that those level 5 demon beast uses to inflict fear or other spiritual attacks to their prey. Now that he knew what is was, his heart became calm. He actually has a way to get out of this restricting force.

He learned it in the forest when one day he was fighting a level 5 giant frog. At that time he was really beaten badly as every time he wanted to flee or attack, his body becomes rigid and is unable to move as if being wrapped by something. Then in a desperate measure, he accidentally covered his body with natural energy which broke the restriction and leads him to killing the giant frog. Since then he can at least kill a level 5 demon beast in a one on one battle.

Seeing that Shin Jiao is now immobilized Mouyun Li, proudly moves towards him.

"Young master, you still have to be careful. I'm not sure if I can really restrict him as he is not using spiritual force. But I can assure you that he can't attack you."

"Thank you elder Martin." Mouyun Li once again gratefully bowed to the elder.

Then facing Shin Jiao a sneer appear on his face. He felt like victory is in his hands and the things Shin Jiao has is already in his pockets.

"I will not wait for my father to execute you. I will kill you here myself."

Taking out his sword, Mouyun Li slowly approached Shin Jiao who he didn't noticed had a smirk on his face. Shin Jiao has already tolerated the pompous attitude of this youth and his unruly behavior, coupled with his murderous intent and his willingness to take his life. It's time to end this, he knows that there is no turning back already. He had offended the Li clan in a point of no return. So he have to save his skin first.

When Mouyun Li was only 5 meters away he saw the mocking smile on Shin Jiao's face and a bad premonition suddenly dawned on him. Wanting to turn back but it was too late, he can clearly see the young man in front of him lifting his right hand as if the restriction was nothing. The motion and his movements became sluggish. With eyes wide open Mouyun Li saw something coming out of the hole from the artifact. And that was the last thing he can see as his vision suddenly turned dark.

The clan elder who felt that something was wrong with his restriction on Shin Jiao wanted to act immediately. But everything was too fast, he saw a flash of silver hit the face of Mouyun Li then his flesh and skull caved in pushing everything and bursting at the back of his head as white brain matters splattered everywhere.

"Nooo! Young Lord!"

The clan elder shouted as he immediately threw two energy bolts from his hands towards Shin Jiao.

It was too late for Shin Jiao when he noticed the two incoming energy bolts, he wanted to evade but the energy bolts immediately came in contact sending him flying to the wall. This was followed by several sword waves which hits his body squarely. Thought the sword waves aren't that powerful coming from the core forming cultivators, but because of their numbers his internal wounds worsen. He spout a mouthful of blood, then immediately took out a pill and put it in his mouth to heal his wounds.

The clan elder landed besides the lifeless body of Mouyun Li. Traces of anger can be seen in his eyes. He didn't know what the clan leader would do to him if he found out that the he was not able to protect his Mouyun Li. So to save himself, he must capture or kill the murderer to exact justice.

"I will tear your body apart and offer it to the clan leader to appease his anger."

The killing aura now started to emanate from the Li clan elder's body which began to suppress even the remaining young cultivators.

Shin Jiao just stood there unmoving and in his eyes a ruthless glint appear.

When the elder charge forward.

Shin Jiao immediately fired his weapon and evaded the incoming strike from the Li clan elder. After he tuck and roll to evade, he stopped with one knee on the ground.

Then the Li clan elder saw the remaining disciples of his clan fell to the ground with fist size gaping hole on their heads.

His eyes went wide in anger and was a little taken aback. Seeing the youth on the ground slowly standing up his eyes was pinned on the artifacts on his hands. That should be a unique artifact, if I can have those, then I'll be invincible. He clearly saw how light flashed through those holes and then in that instant killed their targets.

"Young man I agree that you have some talent, but you're still too weak to fight me. I'll give you a chance, give me those artifacts and cripple your supposed cultivation, and you will live. Or else you can only choose death."

The Li clan elder confidently said as he began to condense his spiritual energy for one big attack.

"Do you think you can scare me? No matter what happens you'll still kill me. It's better for me to fight you to the death. Too much talking old man. Come!"

Shin Jiao coldly taunted as he gesture with his hand for the Li clan elder to attack.

The movements of the Li clan elder is a bit too fast and an energy barrier surrounds him, so Shin Jiao is unable to put a mark on him. Since he can't shot the guy with a gun in long range, he will try close range fighting.

The Li clan elder was a bit angry with Shin Jiao's provocation, so he rushed towards Shin Jiao and a silver sword immediately appear in his hand as he thrust the sword. Shin Jiao shifted his body and using the momentum and the gun's blade slashed backwards. But instead of inflicting damage a sword parried his blade. Then a burst of energy suddenly hit Shin Jiao's shoulder which was throw by the elder's left hand. The force threw Shin Jiao a couple of meters to the ground and he cough up another mouthful of blood.

"Hmmm… your weird looking clothing is an armor. He he he… ha ha ha"

The Li clan elder laughed like a man who just won a big prize.

"It's time to die! Heaven piercing waves!"

This time the elder condensed his energy on his sword. Then he sends hundreds of sword rays towards Shin Jiao, who was once again surprised by the successive release of skills from the Li clan elder. This time he immediately shifted his body to evade, but to his astonishment the rays followed him. And without a choice faced them, he deflected some of the sword rays but many still hit him. Though his armor wasn't torn apart his body still received the blunt force breaking a couple of his bones. Then large gashes also appear in his arms which he used to protect his head.

"What? You're still alive? How, How could that be?"

Disbelief can be seen in the Li clan elder's face as he actually spend too much of his spiritual force as this is ultimate technique. With the large use of energy from the two consecutive techniques, the Li clan elder felt a little weak.

When Shin Jiao notice the pale face of the Li clan elder, he knows it's his turn to attack. Gritting his teeth to suppress the pain. He fired some shots at the elder who had a hard time dodging the incoming projectiles.

Then all of a sudden he put up a barrier, which deflected the bullets. Which warrants hope for the elder as he is now confident that Shin Jiao cannot break his barrier.

Upon seeing this Shin Jiao increased the output of energy in every bullet by injecting some of his energy from his sphere in it. Then he quickly fired three bullets. The first one broke the barrier, followed by the second one which tore the elder's left arm. Then the third bullet hits his dantian area damaging his golden core.

The elder wailed in pain as he didn't know which one to hold as both his arm and dantian area hurt like hell.

Shin Jiao slowly walks towards the Li clan elder to finish him off. But then he suddenly felt danger, according to his experience someone or something powerful is approaching. So he quickly turn around and was about to run when something bit his arm. Looking at it his face had a tinge of doubt, when he saw the evil smile on the Li clan elder, he knew that this is something not good.

So with all his might he rush out, knowing that he cannot stay in this town any more. So his only choice is to go back to the forest.
