In the darkness of the night three shadows slowly floats as they carefully scan their surroundings. These are the people from the Li clan as they searched through the forest trying to find Shin Jiao.

"Patriarch, the kid might have hidden somewhere. There is also a possibility that he used a teleportation scroll."

"That is impossible, I cannot feel the residue aura of time and space disturbance in the area. I think the insect didn't go anywhere and just used a skill or an artifact to hide himself."

The patriarch confidently said as he continue to scan his surroundings. He already knows that Shin Jiao uses unique artifacts that he have never seen before with overwhelming power.

"Here! There are traces of blood in here father!"

Li clan leader Hong Li shouted, as he stood near a shrub with traces of blood from Shin Jiao.

The Li clan patriarch immediately went to the area and scanned the surroundings. Then he knitted his brows and frowned.

"That's odd, there seemed to be a fluctuation in here but I'm not sure what it is. And the kid seem to vanish from this area."

"Father, maybe he's hiding near here, we have to clear up this place."

Hong Li said as he started to condense his spiritual energy in his hands wanting to incinerate the whole place.

"Wait! Don't be too impulsive, we are near the inner border of the forest. Sometimes strong demon beast comes here."

"Father! If we don't act now, we might lose this chance. I will use my energy to clean out 100 meters of the area."

After saying that, Hong Li didn't think twice as he is sure that if his son's murderer is hiding in this place he will be incinerated along with everything within 100 meters.

The clan patriarch didn't bother anymore with the decision of his son and just shook his head as he and the 1st elder flew higher.

"Blazing inferno!"

Hong Li shouted as lifted both his hands in the air and a fire condensed ball grew larger and larger. Then when he isn't able to hold on anymore, he threw it to the ground while he quickly flew higher.

A loud explosion covered the area which incinerated almost all the things within 100 meters radius. Upon seeing the devastation, even Hong Li was stupefied and thought that if he was caught in that explosion, he won't have a complete body left for sure. But seeing that no traces of even a strand of soul can be felt, he was dismayed and a little frustrated.

"I think we can't find him like this. And besides it's already dawn, we…"

Before the Li clan Patriarch could finish what he is saying, something jumped out of the darkness. The creature has a lion's head, a tiger's body, and a snake for a tail. It's one of the most dangerous demon beast in the forest, the nue.

As they observe the demon beast, they noticed that some part of its fur was scorched.

"This is going to be troublesome, that's a level 5 demon beast king."

Then the demon beast suddenly roared, and a spiritual pressure erupted, dragging the three people to the ground.

"This is not good. It can disrupt our spiritual energy, we have to kill it."

The Li clan patriarch shouted as he summoned his weapon, following his action both his son the 1st elder also draw their own swords.

The fight between three strong beings ensue and caused a lot of devastation in the forest. As the battle got dragged a little distance from the scorched ground, a distortion in space rippled and a figure appear immediately blending to its surroundings.

Upon seeing the devastation around him, cold sweat trickled down Shin Jiao's forehead. He could not have imagined what would have happened to him if he had come out too early from the mansion space.

Making his move he quickly dashed through the trees. Shin Jiao checked who are fighting in the area and what he saw shook him. There are three cultivators in golden core realms and a level 5 demon beast king. From their power levels, the demon beast king and one of the golden core realm cultivator have the same energy level. The other two have lower energy levels, but they are still more powerful than himself.

Because of this he decided to just run and make his escape. But unknown to him the nue have already detected his presence. So while fighting it decided to first kill the weakest one and that was Shin Jiao. The Li clan patriarch noticed the odd action of the nue.

"The demon beast is escaping! Chase after it! We can't let it escape, its core and hide is a treasure for our clan."

The three people from the Li clan chased after the nue.

When Shin Jiao looked behind and saw that the demon beast is actually approaching him, he was shocked.

"What?! How did it find me? I activated my camouflage…"

Then to test the waters if the nue can really find him, Shin Jiao went to another direction. And stayed a little distance away and observing the movements of the nue.

When he moved the nue actually stopped and started to sniff its surroundings like a dog. Then all of a sudden its tail with a serpent head looked at Shin Jiao's direction.

Confirming that the nue is using thermal to locate him, Shin Jiao had a grin in his face, and he dashed away with all his might.

After moving in a distance of 10 kilometers, Shin Jiao stopped and planted something on the ground, then he manipulated the natural energy in his body. Making his temperature drop to blend with his surroundings. He learned this technique when he hunts snakes and other creatures that uses thermal sights. Then he moved away from the location and drop down in a bush 300 meters away.

Not long after that he can see a large creature suddenly rushing out from the trees and immediately landed on the thing he planted on the ground. Then from above he can also see three men following from behind the creature. Since he is in a clear line of sight, he saw their clothes.

"The Li clan elders!..."

But before anyone can react.

"BOOM!"

The loud explosion echoed through the forest, and the nue received the greatest damage as one of its leg was blown to bits and the rest of its body was riddled with holes. Even though its skin was tough but still a lot of small holes punctured it. Not too far from the place the Li clan people crashed as they too was thrown by the force of the explosion. The 1st elder got unlucky as a shrapnel penetrated his heart. Hong Li received some flesh wounds but the patriarch had a protection talisman of a higher quality that spared him.

After the smoke clears up, the nue staggered to walk as it growled in pain. But not long after that it dropped down and died.

The explosive that Shin Jiao used was the same one from the cave but he just tweaked it a little so that it could emit more powerful burst of force.

"Father! Are you okay?"

Hong Li stood up and look at the Patriarch.

"I'm fine, but it seems that old Laczir got unlucky. What was that sudden burst of power? It's like a detonation of from a gold core expert."

"Dad look! The nue is dead. We have to get it, and…"

Hong Li look at the dead nue on the ground that's bleeding profusely from the many tiny holes in its body.

Then all of a sudden his eyes went wide as he saw a youth slumped beside a tree not too far from them. It seems that the youth was also hit by the explosion as wounds can be seen in his body.

When the patriarch saw this, his eyes lit up.

"Ha ha, We found him. He got hit by his own artifact. I guess the heavens are helping our Li clan."

"He's the one who killed Mouyun? I will chopped off his head!"

Hong Li was in rage upon seeing Shin Jiao, even though he can see that the youth is now too weak he still need to avenge his son and personally cut-off Shin Jiao's head.

Hong Li and the patriarch walks closer and noticed that beside Shin Jaio lays a head sized black cube with patterns in it and also a small knife that looks like a key. When they got closer and was about to get the artifacts, Shin Jiao lifted his head weakly as if he is using the last of his strength.

"Don't… Don't touch that… that is… mine… give…"

Trying to lift his hands but he was unable to move.

"Ha ha, I can feel that this artifact contains huge amount of power. We can use this to fight against the other clans and the mayor. With this we can rule the town of Dis and even the city of Liberty."

The clan patriarch happily scan the cube, then he noticed an opening where he could insert the small dagger. When he was about to insert the dagger, Shin Jiao stopped him.

"No, don't, please… That… weapon… cannot be used… to oppress others."

"Ha ha, don't worry you're already a dead man."

The clan patriarch look at Hong Li who is still wearing an angry expression. Then he nodded his head.

Hong Li draws his weapon and positioned himself in front of Shin Jiao.

"This is for my son! Now die!"

With rage filled heart Hong Li raised his sword to decapitate the dying youth, so that he can take his head and offer it to his son.

The clan patriarch didn't bother Hong Li as excitement and curiosity filled his heart. He then carefully inserted the small dagger until a small click sound was heard.
