Chapter 15 - A New Threat

"Let me guess the tribe Chief's son came back bigger and better, or something like that." I looked towards Mungo with a frown, as I felt like this was going to be a massive pain in the a*s to handle. Mungo feeling my dissatisfaction, awkwardly scratched the back of his neck and gave me a sheepish grin.

"Well...yes, yes he did. H-H-He changed, changed so much so, we even thought he was a member of the Blaze Clan. He was no longer a Stripped Monkey, but became a whole different species." Mungo told me in fear evident in his voice, while his body trembled in thinking back to him, and not only that I could even feel it in his soul...wait his soul.

[Yes Host, you can feel Mungo's soul as the [Family] ritual forms a connection between Host's soul and the target's soul.]

"Do you know what he became then. For you to mistake him as a member of the Blaze Clan he had to become something more...powerful." I frowned even more. I mean a know Mungo is a goofy guy and all so he isn't afraid of much, besides things that far surpass him...like me.

"The village Chief's son...well now Magma, that is what he calls himself, became the second most powerful species in the Blaze Clan, the Flame Fist Kongs. They are extremely powerful from what I heard. From birth, they start out on either Low High Tier, Mid High Tier, or rarely even Upper High Tier. Not only that they bodies natural produce and absorb high amounts of heat energy, and gaining an innate ability to control said heat. They are called Flame Fist Kongs because they fists are the strongest part of their bodies and can where they can conduct their heat energy the best."

"Alright, that was a huge info dump, but thanks I needed it as I have a feeling that you want me to do something." I doubted Mungo would tell me everything about the abilities of Magma species for no reason, as he would have nothing to do with us unless we get involved.

"Yes, I do. Magma wants to reform everything in the tribe aka meaning he wants to destroy my tribe and make a new tribe by first removing and reforming the tribe members, but I don't want that. While I was bullied by the tribe members before there were some that treated me well, and if it wasn't for them I would have died as a baby, and Magma was one of them. However, when Magma came he killed the village Chief and his family, along with anyone related, and one of them being one of the ones who took care of me. I tried to save him, but...Magma flicked me away with one finger and then impaled him with that same finger, killing him. After that, he started to laugh...like a manic and then everything faded to black, and well, you know the rest. His laughter still haunts me, but it also fills me with RAGE! I want you to beat some sense into Magma, there is something wrong we him and I don't know what, not only that but if he returns to normal he would be a great addition to the family, I know it!" Mungo tightly gripped his fists in frustration, everything about this situation felt so...surreal to him and he was lost, confused, and angry. He had no idea of what to do, so he looked for my help, and the first thing to do is to first solve the 'Magma Problem' as I will call it.

"Well, alright I'm down to help with any problems you may have, and this could as you said, help to expand the family. Not only that, maybe Magma may give me a real fight, I have been wanting to put my skills to the test. Well only one way to find out, come on let's go!" I patted Mungo on the head to comfort him, and when he looked up towards me I flashed him a great big smile and he responded with one of his own.

And with that, we headed out of the cave, the Sun still high in the air and the slight morning breeze brushed my fur. 'Haa, man the environment of this place reminds me of Wonderland, this really reminds me of home. However, this shall become our new Wonderland...yes this whole island shall become our new Wonderland, but first I need more knowledge and more strength.' I looked into the sky wondering about the future and how everything will turn out, but the future is the future, I should worry only about the present day first.

"Mungo what direction is your tribe located at." I turn towards Mungo to get directions as I wanted to get there as fast as possible and not waste any more time.

"Mmmh, if I remember correctly it should be that way, the opposite way I was coming from when you first met me." He pointed westward, into the forest. I looked in that direction and I could vaguely see the hint of a mountain in the expanse of foliage that blotted out the sky. If I looked closely while squinting my eyes, I could see ash and smoke floating in the air around the now dubbed volcano.

"Well I can see a volcano in that direction and if I recall the Blaze Clan loves places that are hot, and your tribe lives close to them, so that's where we want to be. Okay, since the destination is set, hop on my back, we got places to be and people to see." I motioned Mungo to hop on my neck, as my wings cover most of my back, so I can fly us there.

"W-W-What a-are you sure. I mean is it really okay to get on you." Mungo looked like he just swallowed a fly and stepped in dog dung while at it.

"What? Is there something wrong with that?" I would have raised an eyebrow at him...if I had any. I mean does he think there something wrong with me or something.

"No no no...I guess feel that...touching you is wrong, let alone getting on you. It is kinda like the same feeling, or aura, any of the tribe members get when they are near the tribe Chief. It isn't like a type of natural rejection, as like the Chief's, but almost like a kind of worship sort of thing, like that instance, when I instant bowed towards you the first time."

"Hmm, well it may have something to do with my skill are something, but who knows. Anyways, let's move on to your tribe now." Mungo nodded at that, then slowly but surely climbed onto my neck, like he wasn't trying to mess up anything or something. With Mungo on my neck and secured, I stretched my wings and took off to the sky and towards Mungo's tribe.

Day 3: 12:25 pm

Me and Mungo were close to this tribe location and only require a minute or so to make it there. I could have gone faster, but I didn't want to risk anything, like Mungo falling off or something, as I know he could handle faster speeds but his grip my slip. My fur wasn't very...grabbable and kind of slippery and slick (must be a mix of Otter and Axolotls DNA).

However, that didn't last long as I saw a huge ring of raging flames, almost like an arena that was close to Mungo's tribe, but at least his tribe was a burning wreck. While what I could see some of his tribe's village here, it wasn't destroyed and only looked a little roughed up. What surprised me was that his tribe's village looked a bit like a human village, but it had a few differences that I couldn't describe really well...at least while not dodging giant flame rocks that were being tossed at me.

Yep, giant, hulking, masses of burning almost molten boulders, that looked like tiny meteors were being thrown at me to knock me out of the air. They were being thrown from within the huge ring of flames, most likely from Magma, trying to lead me into the ring. 'Well might as well as confront him I guess.' I thought as I was bobbing and weaving through the gaps of the rocks and headed down to the ring of flames.

After dodging another set of rocks I set down in the center of the ring, as I did I saw another rock being thrown at me at great speeds as it ignited the air around it while cutting through it. As I was tired of dodging, I lifted my paw and stopped the rock with one paw, but it still managed to push me back by 1 inch. I tossed the rock behind me and it landed with a loud *Thud* and raised a cloud of dirt, showcasing how heavy it was really.

"Wow, you are pretty strong I must say, I think that was the first time I had to use my full strength to do anything really." My malicious evil-looking grin appeared on my face, as I knew I met my match from that throw.

"Hmm, and I must say you are somewhat strong to survive my full-powered [Flaming Meteor] and still be breathing. However, that won't last for long as you still take your last breathe here!" A very arrogant and rage-filled voice reached it ways to my ears as I saw a 4 meters tall and 2 meters wide, giant red-furred gorilla that looked like a mini King Kong. He had giant arms the size of freaking trucks and rocky looking scales that run down them, they also had cracks that had what looked like magma flowed through them, and his fists looked like they were made of metal. This was Magma, the Flaming Fist Kong.

"Mungo get out of here before it gets too dangerous." I looked towards my back where I saw Mungo gripping onto my fur tightly and trembling. He looked into my eyes before he calmed down and nodded, then jumped off my back and ran out of the ring of fire at high speeds, so he wouldn't get burned up too much. I looked back towards Magma as he was looking at the place Mungo just retreated to.

"Huh, so that little punk is still alive and he calls for backup," He looked at me, "Hahaha, seriously. Well, whatever, I hope you're ready to die, then your next brat!" He then lunged at me with his arms, that started to spew flames from the cracks, wide open at a fairly high amount of speed. Keyword being 'fairly', while he was much much faster than any of those wolves, he was still at a speed where I could see and react to.
