Chapter 26 - Others and Explantation (Kind of a Info Dump)

"Hmmm, what is...this?" I looked at the buildings that Luo and the rest of the Apollo Division made.

"Oh if I recall Sire, these are called buildings, if I'm not mistaken. I seen these types of things made in the Blaze Clan before, so I thought, 'If they were made there, we should make them here.' And also I was made known of their worth by someone." I just nodded at Luo as I fell into thought.

'Hmmm, now that I think about it more, I've neglected that these 'animals', ain't acting like animals, but more like humans.' While that's not a bad thing, but in fact a good thing, it doesn't really...well...make sense.

[Well Yahweh, that's because these 'animals' aren't really animals, they are more like demons.]

'Demons! Hmmm, I guess that makes more sense then, but that doesn't really explain their... humanely nature.'

[That's because demons are like humans, and these, I'll start calling them Demon Beasts, are like beast-like demons.]

'I see. That explains quite a bit, but even if they are like humans, that doesn't explain their knowledge.'

[Of course, that would only make them smarter animals, but Nushi made it so they won't so... animalistic. Of course, it wasn't always this way, Nushi HAD to change this, for the sake of his 'kin's' survival.]

'Oh some lore about Nushi and the birth of the new, Demon Beasts, as we now dub them.' I wonder what happened that cause Nushi, of all people/Gods, to change his whole race on this planet.

[I don't have too much knowledge on this topic but, you know how you fought those Wolves that possessed the Rajiū bloodline?]

'Yeah.'

[Well they use to populate, this continent just like any common dog or cat, they weren't so...rare to see before.]

'Really! Wow, now that would be a sight to see. So what happened to them?'

[They were all...killed...]

'...Killed...but by what.'

...

[...Humans...and a mix of other things.]

'Humans? But that doesn't make any sense at all! How! I haven't seen a single human since the day I got here, of course, it wasn't that long, and somehow humans killed off all the Rajiū? Aren't they suppose to be pretty strong?'

[Yes they were very strong. But, not only the Rajiū...but many other races that use to exist...like Mungo's.] Wow I...I honestly don't know what to think. But humans...*Sigh*, I honestly don't know what to do with them, but they most likely killed them because of greed, hatred, or jealousy...like always...

'*Sigh*, is there any more you can tell me?' I was very expectant of the Sys-, oh yeah, it still needs a name.

[No, that is all I know.] D*mn, well in the future, it looks like I'll need to pay a visit to some humans it seems.

[Basically just think of them as primitive humans, that are slowly learning as time goes on. But of course, there may be other factors that helped with their evolution.]

'Alright. Well time to get back to the present.' And with that, I turned my attention back towards Luo.

"Hmm, well you guys have done good work. Well, I just wanted to check out how things were going, and it seems everything is alright." Man, these peeps really know how to get stuff done. Well, they are 'monkeys', the closest race to humans, so I'm not too surprised.

"Thank you, your Majesty. Yes, everything is going alright. As of right now some members went out to go hunting and find fruits, and other materials they could find, and others went to the old village to see what they could find and use." Luo bowed, then gave me a general rundown of what was going on so far, and it seems everything is running smoothly.

"Oh that reminds me, I need to fix the Apollo division not being very 'Apollo'."

"I've been meaning to ask what does 'Apollo' mean exactly?"

"Oh, Apollo means destroyer, God of light, art, or law. You can take from that what you will."

"I see." Was the only response Luo gave me as he fell into thought, but then raised his head back towards me.

"Ah yes, how would you go about doing that exactly your Majesty." Luo waited expectantly for my answer on how I could possibly solve that problem.

"Well, I thinking of changing your bloodlines in-"

"WHAT!" My eyes twitched a low at he's screaming, but it didn't affect me as much as it did last time. But I still looked at Luo confusingly because of his sudden outburst.

"Luo..."

"Oh, I'm sorry for the screaming again...I just couldn't believe you would do something so important for beasts as lowly as us." Uh oh, it looks like Luo doesn't have as much self-confidence as I thought he had. So without saying anything, I walked over to Luo and placed my paw on his shoulder and gave him the most gentle look I could.

"Luo, don't think so lowly of yourself. While others may see not more than a beast, an ape, I see someone who, that while scared and uncertain of what his actions would cause, stood out for his people facing the consequences and repercussions no matter what they were and the circ.u.mstances. But at the same time making sure that he wouldn't involuntarily cause his people's demise. All in all, I see a brave, intelligent, and kind leader inside you, right here." At that point, I placed my paw where his heart was.

"So again Luo, never think lowly of yourself. For yourself, your people, and for...me." At that, I turned around and started walking away.

"Oh and remember Luo. At some point in life, everyone starts off low, weak, and insignificant, no matter who they are -expect some people and Gods- but they all rise up. You Will be one of them mark my words, Luo! And when you do, we will go on all types of adventures imaginable, hahaha!" I continued walking with my back to Luo. But even so, I could hear his tears plop against the ground and his soft 'Thank you' that was filled with emotion and gratefulness. I don't blame him, everyone needs recognition, even 'beasts'.

But even so. With my speech, I don't believe I could have made him cry. I mean, he's a tough nut to crack. So there must be more to the story behind this...it may have something to do with this 'Teacher' figure he lightly mentioned. At least, that is the most likely possibility...or family...well I'll find out later.

...

With all the 'drama' out of the way -and the wiping of tears- me and Luo headed into the...city, town? I don't know, but there wasn't too much to see as most buildings were the same. It was bland and dull, but hopefully, that will change in the future after making a school or something like that. But after checking out the city and greeting my 'civilians' -it seems they know I'm King or Alpha in their definition, that will have to change-, me and Luo went to the 'The Apollo' as Luo called it and I met some of the 'people' Luo gathered.

They were Ajax, Kimble, Blaz, and Zoe. They were called the Apollos, but now that Luo knows the definition of Apollo. They are now called the 5 Pillars of Sunlight or better yet, the 5 Celestial Pillars.

At first, they were a bit...tense and cautious about what they did and said, but it didn't take long for me, and with the help of their friend Luo, to get in their good books and start making relationsh.i.p.s and conversations with them. And in those conversations with them, I learned what type of 'person' they were and how they are now.

Ajax was a warrior and he was one of the strongest, only below Magma, the old tribe chief, and Kimble. He was bulkier and taller than the rest of the tribe, and he use to be obsessed with strength, as that was the only thing that defined him and all he knew. But all that muscle and brawns didn't help him against tribe chief and any of the others stronger than him, he was only beaten time and time again. So he turned to intelligence instead, at first he didn't accept the knowledge that Nushi gave him or rather choose to ignore and not acknowledge it, however, he became more open-minded and more acceptance of his situation, becoming honest and milder than his past aggressive, hot-headed, and instinct-driven self, and through accepting that knowledge made friends with Luo. Now he is easy-going and a 'joker', but he still seeks strength and respects and admires the strong.

Kimble is a lean monkey, like Mungo, but not malnutrition looking and has more muscle. Kimble was the former Pack Leader of the group of warriors that hunted food for the tribe. Kimble was a kindred soul, like Magma, so when he saw the atrocities the tribe chief committed on the female tribe members, he was disturbed and disgusted but it wasn't to a point of stepping in, as those are the perks of an Alpha. But when the tribe chief was becoming too wild, and even impacting his Pack members, tried to take actions into his hands and put a stop to his madness.

However, the tribe chief outwitted him with tactics, using the Blaze Clan's name to threaten them, which caused his own Pack members to turn on him, even if they didn't want too. When he was defeated he was stripped of his title and everything he owned, 'exiled', he was still part of the village he just couldn't enter or receive any help and humiliated in front of the village. But a kind villager, who was actually Zoe, helped him through his time of need and weakness, even when it could get her in massive amounts of trouble, he didn't, couldn't, understand why she was showing him such kindness. She told him, 'I couldn't just leave someone who is hurting or suffering. I won't and I never will again. I won't let what happened to her, happen again.' Her intent d.e.s.i.r.e to help him, ignited that faint wisp of a flame in his heart and another one, one his love for her. And two, the d.e.s.i.r.e to help others, and it came back full force, but also the guilt he felt ignited his flame. And two his love for her.

He knew who she was talking about, and that was her sister. He knew what happened because he heard about it and he saw what caused her death. He could have prevented it, but his own ignorance and blindness caused him not to. And that same ignorance and blindness caused his inevitable defeat and humiliation. Angered by his ignorance and his d.e.s.i.r.e to grow stronger, he chanced upon Luo and Ajax and joined them for their similar goals.

Blaz was lazy and a loner. He didn't get along well with the other villagers and didn't try to. But he did have an older brother, a brother that he loved and respected. His brother was one of the few 'beasts' that actually accepted, acknowledged, and try and understand Nushi's knowledge. He tried to get his brother into it, but because of laziness, uninterest, and the thought 'What would I need that useless junk in my head anyway, strength is all that matters' he never acknowledge it, nor his brother's attempts.

One day he and his brother went out hunting and Blaz saw an easy and quick meal laying, and 'sleeping' near a bush. Due to immaturity, inexperience, and ignorance he didn't notice the signs, that indicated it was a trap, with a predator close by. He didn't notice, but his brother did, but it was too late, Blaz already pounced. In an instant, the predator waiting in the bush struck out at him. Blaz caught in surprise couldn't even defend himself, but his brother was ready and jumped in the way of the attack.

The attack fatally wounded his brother, and within a few seconds, he dropped to the floor barely breathing. The beast could have finished them off, but it wanted to play with its food, so it waited. Blaz's brother using the last of his strength told him to run. And Blaz did, with all his might, even as tears flowed like a river from his eyes. However, how could his predator simply let him escape, so it carried Blaz's almost dead brother in its mouth and chased after Blaz as fast as it could without killing its new 'toy', so that same 'toy' could watch its brother die before its eyes.

After a while, Blaz was cornered in a cave by his predator, and his brother was laid on the floor outside the cave, close by as he was forced to watch his's brother's death...at least that was what it would have been if not for Blaz's 'smart' thinking. While Blaz was running, he was in his mind thinking up what he could do to get away and save his brother, and he remembered that as a kid he heard of a cave that was close to the village, and was littered with small cracks that could lead him to the outside world.

It was meant to become a storeroom for the tribe chief's essentials, but because of how unstable the cave was, it was never made into one. So because of that information, he placed his last hopes there, and with luck and a little bit of planning, he was able to trick the beast into following him into the cave and angering it into pounding into the cave wall, causing the cave to collapse...Blaze would have died, but while the beast was confused and terrified Blaz kept calm and collected and quickly fled into one of the many cracks. So on that day, Blaz used his limited knowledge to kill his brother's killer, but at the same time lost his brother from bleeding out before he could get to the village.

After that, he became a little more accepting of the people around him, as he believed if he did people would have helped him out when he and the beast were causing so much commotion around the village. But, the most important change was that he started using his knowledge to his advantage, and was in pursuit of more, just like Kimble, Ajax, and Zoe.

And then there was finally Zoe. She was a built almost the same as Kimble, but only shorter and more feminine...I guess as these monkeys are more human-shaped than I realized. But Zoe was a fighter, while she couldn't join the Hunting Pack because she was a 'weak' female that only can prep the food and do other minimum tasks and such, that didn't stop her somewhat wild and aggressive nature. She would hunt for herself and the only family member she had...her sister. Her sister was the opposite of her, she was shy, kind, and mild. The type of females the tribe chief wanted and liked.

So one day Zoe went out hunting, but her sister tried to stop her, tell her that she was in danger, that something bad would happen to her. But Zoe's thickheadedness couldn't read in between the lines, nor could she see the approaching danger her sister was in, as the tribe chief's interest was captured by her on accident. So her sister only told her to stay home, she would be safe in the village, that nothing would happen to her, and she was only being a crybaby, and left to go satisfy her bloodl.u.s.t...and that was as the last time she saw her little 'baby sister'.

When she got back, all she met was a broken husk of what her sister was, and she didn't understand why, but chalked it up to being a phase by her sister and continued with doing what she always did. Life was still the same for her hunting, sleeping, and trying to get a reaction out of her sister by 'insulting' and 'toughing' her up. But that 'peaceful' life soon came to an end...her sister committed suicide, but she left a note for sister.

On the note, it was about the unspeakable and cruel things the tribe chief did to her, about how she was dragged out of the house by the tribe chief himself and how he ravaged her and took away, what she saw her most precious and what made her...well her. She begged and screamed, but he only looked on with l.u.s.tful, crazy, and cruel eyes. Not once did he show mercy and no one helped her when she asked...she was all alone, but if only her sister was there.

The note when on and on about what happened to her while Zoe was gone, and how she would have killed herself much sooner but wanted to write this note for her. She also said she didn't blame her sister, because she knew nothing and didn't know better, that she wasn't the brightest, to begin with anyway, that she wished when Nushi's knowledge was gifted to her, she learned from it and changed from her brutish and barbaric ways.

From that day onwards, an immense hatred towards the tribe chief was formed, her d.e.s.i.r.e for knowledge, and her will to prevent tragedies like that. But even with all her rage, she didn't immediately rush to kill him, as when as dense as she was, she knew better, so she got to planning. And with that planning, she met Kimble, the love of her love, Ajax, and finally Blaz. They bonded quickly because they all experienced loss and their thirst for knowledge.

...

That...was a lot to take in. But, it was good to know my people better. After they were done with their backstories, I was prepared to tell them I could be their teacher and provide them with more knowledge, or help them understand what they don't. But it seems that would have to wait, as I heard heavy breathing, and panicked, hurried footsteps, rushing towards the 'The Apollo' -definitely going to have to change that name-, a place where only a select few can enter, namely the people in this room, Mungo, and Magma. So this could only be someone with urgent news.

As I was done with that thought process someone burst into the room without a care in the world.

"What is the meaning of this! Show some respect, how can you burst in here like that, when your King is in the building, huh!" Ajax shouted out to the person that burst into the room, he was about to get up and teach them some manners, but I held a paw out to stop him.

"For you to burst in like that...you must have urgent news...correct." I took my eyes from Ajax and looked towards the newcomer.

"Hu hu hu...D-Does u-urgent mean hu hu, i-important?" The newcomer was nervous, most likely from Ajax's outburst and he was exhausted, so it was hard to tell what he was saying, but I got what he said.

"Yes, yes it does. But before we continue, take a step and take a breath. Then, explain the situation." I crossed my arms and waited, along with everyone else, as he calmed down himself and his breathing.

"Ahem, t-thank you, uh..."

"Just call me King Magnus or something, I don't mean."

"Ah yes, well King Magnus...I'm sorry to break this to you but..."

"What is it, spit it out already, we don't have all day!"

"Sorry, sorry. Well...to make this short...the Blaze Clan is here."

"Huh?" (AN: Youtube: Andrew J.- Huh Meme)
