It has been a while since that spar I had with Mungo, about 2 months or so. But after that little spar I and Mungo had, Mungo became a bit more...reserved I suppose you could say. He became a lot more open-minded about my teachings from then on and took to them pretty well too, just silently listening and nodding when I talk, like a good student. It was like all those hits he took just changed him in some way, in a good way, but you can still see the old Mungo, just more restrained.
Like that confidence, he had before the fight we had? It didn't just fade away like the fog but became more...muted, like he bottles it up until needed. If I were to sum it up, if before he was the hyper-excited kid that wasn't scared of anything or anyone, he became the mellowed out teenager, a very rapid change, but one that is needed for what I have in mind for him.
I think as I look at Mungo surrounded by 7 human-shaped dummies of varying shapes and sizes, ready to charge him at any moment. Anyways, enough of this, I've delayed this for a while. Let's begin the test.
"Begin." And with my command, the flood gates opened.
*3rd POV Change*
The dummies around Mungo sizes were the fastest and so were the first to engage him. All 3 of them came at him at 3 different angles, the front, side, and back, and the all attacked at the same time. The other 4 dummies rushing towards him as well but would take some time.
Mungo staying calm, quickly observed the closest and fastest dummy among the 3, the front one, and quickly rushed into it guard. The dummy tired to attack, but Mungo quickly ducked under it's punch and went behind it and used it momutem against it and sent a double palm strike one it's spine and another on it's knee joint, sending it flying straight into the dummy that was quickly approaching, the back flank. The dummy not having enough time to dogde or react was sent flying as well and they landed in a heap of twisted limbs. Only one left, but the others were close by.
Mungo not wasting time charged at the last one and unleashed a quick and devasting combo that left the dummy battered and broken, quickly putting it out of the fight. That was 3 down, one permentantly and 2 for a while, 4 to go. 3 dummies twice the size of him and 1 10x the size of him. The 3 double sized dummies all rushed Mungo at the same time, they weren't as fast as the other 3 smaller ones, but they were 3x as strong. They could easily end the fight in one attack, so Mungo had to apporch this differently.
Mungo immediately rushed into the center of them and waited for them to attack. The dummies swung down at him with full-force, trying to end this quickly but Mungo nimbly jumped over their attacks, used their movement against them, as he sent a quick and sharo kick to the middle dummies neck, snapping it in a instant, and kicked off it's body and twirling, to build momentum, and sent out another kick to the left one's neck, 'killing it too', before he dropped to the ground and shooting backwards dogding the attack of the last dummy. The mindless dummy just rushed after him with it fist reeled back ready to unleash a devasting blow.
Mungo allowed it to get close and release it's attack and near him. It's fist howling into the air as it grew closer and closer, but all he did was wait and when it was close enough rushed into it's guard, ducking around the punch, and chopped it on the neck, breaking it. Last one down, one to go. As Mungo turned around, a shadow eclipsed him, his entire view was that of a giant fist. Quickly he rushed to evade it.
*BOOOM* The giant fist collided with the ground, creating a massive shockwave and gust of wind. Mungo bȧrėly making it out, was sent flying by it and righted himself in the air, before landing back on the ground. He stared at his massive oppentent for a few seconds, as the giant pulled back it's fist. Everything that was under its fist was pulverized and bits of dummies fell off it's fist. He charged it without a second's thought.
As he approached the giant, the giant raised it fist and sent it flying towards Mungo, Mungo seeing an opportunity poured every ounce of power he could into his legs and jumped up on the giant's fist and landed on it's arm.
*BOOM* The giant fist shook the ground again, and Mungo held steady on it's arm. When things calmed down, he ran along it's arm and quickly reached it's head and stayed there, waiting for another opportunity. And one came soon.
The dummy trying to kill Mungo went to raise it's arm in the air and sent it smashing down on it;s own head. But Mungo instead of waiting for that jumped on to the giant's raising arm and climbed up it. And when it reached the height of it's apex jumped off it.
Mungo skydiving towards the giant, rotated in the air, building up high and quickly raising moumetum flew towards the head of the giant. The giant trying to protect its head moved it other unraised arm in an attempt to do so...but was too slow. So Mungo with all that power and momentum sent a powerful axe kick directly on it's head.
*BOOOOM* *CRACK* *THUD* In a shockwave and explosion of air that was even more powerful then the giant's own full force punch, the giant's neck snapped under the pressure and was sent back a few feet before it came to a stop and fell with a loud thud. And with that, the end of Mungo's test.
*3rd POV Change End*
Man, Mungo has come far in these few months from what he was before, just thinking about his progress he is a little monster in his own right. Before he was struggling with only one agility dummy, and now he can fight multiple at the same time and some more. And that move at the end was genius!
"Mungo I'm truly proud of you. You have passed you test with flying colors, and you have come a long way in just 2 months, you should be proud." I smile lightly at him. I think a bit of Mungo as rubbed off on me or supvising his training has caused me to change a bit as well, because normally I would be more playful with this, but I can't find it in myself to do so.
"Thank you Sir." Mungo calm as ever, bowed to me as I looked him deep in the eyes. His body my not show it but his eyes sure do. He was proud, excited, and enjoyed my praise.
"Now not to ruin your parade Mungo, but now that we can remove the training wheels, its time to start your real training. You will no longer be fighting against mindless robots with basic instincts, but 'living', breathing creatures and encountering different scenorices as well. So are you ready?" I cut to the chase quickly as I don't went things to drag on and tell him straight.
"I'm always ready Sir. When do we begin?" Mungo replies simply enough. But I can see his nervousness.
"After you I cook you a good meal and you get some good rest, then we will start tomorrow." I walk pass him and pat him on his shoulder.
"Now come on, let's go." I walk towards the exit of the Sparring Room, as I he Mungo quickly catch up to me.
