Alex's PoV:
I was currently staying inside the Holy Church with the other summoned heroes.
But then suddenly, the Holy Church shook violently so I went outside to check what had caused it.
I found 4 demons who had a muscular build while 1 of them looked like a human with pitch-black hair but was covered in demonic mana.
The barrier that surrounded the Holy Church shook every time it was struck by the barrage of attacks that the archdemons had launched.
I noticed that Axel was currently manipulating his mana while supplying it towards the barrier.
Axel was responsible for repairing and supplying mana towards the barrier to maintain it while the other senior heroes had gone out of the Holy Church to see what had happened.
"Looks like father had sent out his most trusted archdemons."
The one who said that was a demon who had a facial feature similar to that of a human.
I guess he's the one that they called Pedonar and he had the title of demon hero.
Was it a trend nowadays to have a monster become a hero?
The Gods must have been bored to even do something like this.
Did the emergency mission mean that I needed to save and protect the people inside the church during the invasion of the archdemons?
If only I knew about some barrier magic such as the magic that Axel had been using to repair and maintain the barrier.
It seemed that Axel had also been granted by the God Of Worldly System an all affinity cheat skill.
I should be able to cast a barrier using my mana but not as efficient and potent as Axel's barrier.
I needed to obtain a magic spell book so that I would be able to conjure and cast any spell available as long as I had enough mana requirements for the spell that I'm going to cast.
For now, I could only cast basic elemental magic and was still not able to cast higher elements such as time and space.
"Your name is Alex, right? Can you tell the other heroes to stay inside the Holy Church and focus on protecting the people inside the church while your seniors will take care of the archdemons?"
The beastman hero spoke to me and asked me a favor. I nodded in response and went towards the Holy Church and entered it.
"Attention fellow heroes! Our seniors will take care of the demons so they gave us a task to take care of the people inside the church instead!"
The summoned heroes had nodded in agreement and so we remained vigilant while waiting for the results of the battle between the senior hero and the archdemons.
I hope Axel would be able to maintain the barrier or else the people inside the church would be in great danger if the barrier had been destroyed.

Axel's PoV:
"Zale, Mathew, Pedonar, Aileen, and Aerin! I need you guys to surround the Holy Church while I take care of the barrier. If I ever ran out of mana, prepare your spells and skill so that you can use it to counter against the archdemons!"
My teammates nodded and unsheathed their weapons while precisely releasing and manipulating their mana.
I kept on supplying the barrier with mana while repairing the cracks which had formed due to the attacks of the archdemons.
If I had not improved the quality of my mana and also expanded the size of my mana pool then I wouldn't have been able to contend against the attacks of the archdemons.
I was still not strong enough to brazenly fight against 5 archdemons at the same time.
If it were only one of them, then I would have a better chance of winning if I put my mind to it and I might also use dirty tricks in the process but now that's impossible since I'm up against 5 experienced archdemons.
I only have my teammates and even though we were hailed as talented heroes, we weren't powerful enough to battle against archdemons who had years of experience in combat and had survived the harsh environment of the demon continent.
The only one who would have a better chance of defeating an archdemon except for me was Pedonar since he had been trained for hundreds of years in the demon continent.
Aileen would also stand a chance against an archdemon if she used her dragon form when fighting against an archdemon.
Zale would win if he had used his [Opportunity Attraction] cheat skill to increase his odds of winning.
Mathew's only bet would be to steal an archdemon's heart but I doubt that an archdemon only had one heart so Mathew's enemy after he used his [Universal Steal] would be the backslash.
Aerin would be at her peak if she was fighting an archdemon in a forest since she relied on natural magic.
She would still be able to contend against an archdemon without the environmental advantage but she would only last for a while.
I had also noticed that Alex would have a chance of defeating an archdemon since I had observed that his mana pool was larger than mine after he was summoned but since I made mine larger than before, I had now the largest mana pool amongst all of the heroes.
Alex would stand a chance against an archdemon if he knew about some high-tier spells.
If he wasn't that stubborn and had focused on learning magic instead, he would have been able to play a major role against the archdemon's invasion.
If only I would be able to teach Alex some barrier magic while maintaining the barrier at the same time.
If Alex had learned about barrier magic, then he would be able to create a barrier near the Holy Church while my teammates and I handle the archdemons.
I wasn't able to launch attacks against the archdemons since it would waste my mana and also divert my attention.
"This is getting boring! Why not just get out of your turtle shell and fight us bravely instead?"
One of the archdemons commented and provoked us while I did not mind it.
"Am I an idiot to you? If we get out now, then we would be the ones who would be at a disadvantage."
"You indeed look smart. I'll just break your turtle shell then!"
The archdemon then gathered his demonic mana and cast a huge fireball spell that was on par with my [Magnificence Of The Sun].
