Alex's PoV:
I was inside the church and I smelled the stench of a strong odor of rusted iron which was blood.
It was the blood of the archdemon and it was being sprayed around like a blood fountain.
Axel did have a bad habit of causing trouble and not cleaning the aftermath of his actions.
Axel and his teammates were taking care in looting the bodies of the archdemons and I had seen that Axel was removing organs from the archdemons' corpses.
So it wasn't just a rumor amongst the heroes and church people that Axel obtained power through eating other monsters' flesh.
It was such an envious skill. Although I can use my soul energy technique in this world, it was still not as powerful as Axel's cheat skill.
I can also destroy Axel's soul by absorbing the soulerium that made up his soul since his soul was just a pseudo soul that was created artificially.
I might become the next strongest hero if I worked hard.
I wonder how much power I would obtain if I would reach level 1000 or higher.
I had watched and observed Axel and his teammates' fight before so I was able to use the skills that they had used as long as my mana was enough to perform the skills.
Since I had obtained the Omni-affinity skill from the God Of Worldly System, I was now able to imitate any magic skills as long as I could witness it myself.
I materialized a small blade that was made out of mana on my palm.
"It wasn't that hard after all."
For now, I was only capable of materializing a small mana blade but if I trained harder and increased the proficiency of my skills, I might be able to conjure a huge mana blade that Axel had created.
It would be nice if I could use less mana than usual whenever I cast magic skills.
I should have asked the God Of Worldly System for a cheat skill such as that.
I canceled the magic mana blade that I had cast and observed the actions of Axel and his teammates.
I had heard their conversation for a bit and it seemed that they had planned on letting the heroes increase their level.
They said that we recently summoned heroes would go to the Monster's Abode and they would accompany us.
It was a good thing that Axel had thought in joining the expedition in the Monster's Abode or wherever that place was.
If not, then most of us heroes might die at the hands of the monsters that were lurking in the Monster's Abode.
There might be some powerful monsters that would trigger a system task in my system.
Now that I think about the system, why didn't I received any system notification that I had completed the emergency task?
I thought that I'm only going to protect the people inside the church during the archdemons' invasion.
The invasion of the archdemons had already been finished due to Axel eliminating all 5 of them.
Was the system malfunctioning?
*The host dare slander the system! It seemed that the host has not fully understood the contents of the mission. It also included minimizing casualties and save as many people as possible but it didn't say that it doesn't involve the heroes.*
So now the system was telling me that the task was not yet over but instead I had to protect the heroes from the monsters in the Monster's Abode.
*Yes. But since you were all going to the Monster's Abode and there might be some powerful monsters, the system will raise the difficulty of the emergency task and the host will be able to receive additional rewards.*
Excellent! Now I only needed to train a bit more so that I could prepare for danger when I would enter the Monster's Abode.
I went out of the Holy Church and headed towards the training grounds.
I practiced controlling my mana and even though I had an abundant amount of mana at my disposal, I wasn't able to make full use of it then it would be wasted.
I kept on creating mana swords using my mana while adding properties towards my mana swords such as elemental properties, sharpness, durability, etc.
I performed the swordplay that Axel has taught me before using the mana sword that I had created.
I executed multiple barrages of cuts, slashes, thrusts, and stabs while controlling the momentum of my attacks.
I practiced the sword technique to the extent that I would be able to use any physical object as my sword.
Also, I would be able to change the impact of an attack that was performed by using a sword if I would use my newly invented sword technique.
I named my sword technique as 'Power Shift Sword Technique'.
Powerful as it might sound, it had a condition that I wouldn't be able to use it if the power I'm going to shift was weaker than my power.
Hence, it could only be used against powerful sword attacks performed by high-level swordsmen.
I created a third arm on my back using my mana and tried to move it around as if it was my appendage.
I then created a fourth arm on my back but as I tried to move it, I lost control of my third arm which caused it to be unstable and it dissipated.
It seemed that Axel was so talented and had a firm mind so he was able to control six arms at once.
It was much harder if six arms were used to perform complex swordsmanship.
How was Axel even able to pull off something like that!
Was it due to his high intelligence stat? It should be plausible and if I leveled up, I might as well increase my intelligence stat and confirm if my hypothesis was right.
I ended my training and went towards the Holy Church.
I saw that the heroes were gathering for some reason and Axel was talking to them about something.
I went closer and heard what Axel had said.
"Pack up your things because we are going to the Monster's Abode for a leveling training!"
