Alex's PoV:
A huge armadillo clad in silver armor shell rolled towards Distere and me.
Distere and I were still lying on the ground so I didn't know about the huge armadillo except for the time that I had activated [Mana Sense].
Distere and I were now low in mana since most of the mana in our mana pool was depleted due to activating the imitated version of the [Sword Dance] skill and reaching 100% synchronization percentage.
The huge armadillo rolled towards Distere and me at a tremendous speed which caused the surrounding air currents to rotate.
A small twister was generated from all the rotation of the huge armadillo which caused the leaves from the trees to fall off and rotate.
Distere had not noticed the approaching huge armadillo so I decided to act fast to prevent the huge armadillo from rolling over Distere and me.
I stood up from the ground and channeled the remaining mana in my mana pool to create a condensed mana shield.
I charged towards the approaching huge armadillo while facing the condensed mana shield in front of me.
The condensed mana shield collided with the huge armadillo which caused me to bash the huge armadillo using the condensed mana shield.
I quickly reacted to instantly push the huge armadillo backward and I transformed the condensed mana shield into a spear.
A spear would have much more piercing power so I decided to use it instead of a longsword.
I tightly held the spear on both of my hands and aimed towards the head of the huge armadillo.
I charged towards the huge armadillo while directing the condensed mana spear towards the head of the huge armadillo.
The huge armadillo didn't dodge my condensed mana spear but instead, countered my condensed mana spear by rolling rapidly.
The condensed mana spear was deflected by the huge armadillo due to the rapid rotation of the huge armadillo.
My hand slipped because of the sudden deflection of my condensed mana spear which caused my condensed mana spear to drop towards my side.
The huge armadillo took this opportunity to charge towards me and I had dodged the huge armadillo successfully by moving to the other side.
Unfortunately, I had not noticed the intention of the huge armadillo for charging towards me and I later found out that the huge armadillo intended to destroy the condensed mana spear.
The huge armadillo rolled towards the location where I had dropped my condensed mana spear and rapidly rolled on my condensed mana spear which resulted in my condensed mana spear being shattered into pieces.
I didn't want to waste any part of the condensed mana spear so I manipulated the shattered pieces of my condensed mana spear to launch towards the huge armadillo at high speed.
The huge armadillo countered the shattered fragments of my condensed mana spear that was heading towards the huge armadillo by rolling rapidly which caused the shattered fragments to deflect after they came in contact with the huge armadillo.
The huge armadillo started to roll towards Distere and me and the huge armadillo was approaching Distere and me.
I had consumed most of my mana to create the condensed mana spear so I only had 5% mana left in my mana pool.
I had depleted most of my mana just from the previous battle between the huge cheetah and Distere and me.
It also seemed that Distere had depleted all of his mana since his mana pool took a toll when he was manipulating and synchronizing the mana in both of our bodies previously.
There was no way Distere and I could survive our current predicament and even Pedonar, Sophie, and Aileen were occupied in defeating the level 77,000 great forest spirit.
The level 77,000 great forest spirit was a troublesome opponent since physical attacks wouldn't work on the level 77,000 great forest spirit.
Therefore, it took a lot of time for Pedonar, Sophie, and Aileen to get the upper hand against the level 77,000 great forest spirit.
Pedonar, Sophie, and Aileen couldn't support Distere and me since they were too busy dealing with the level 77,000 great forest spirit.
I couldn't even depend on Satomi at this time of need since he too was occupied in dealing with his high-level monster opponent.
Axel should have brought Zale with us to aid in our rescue for Axel but I guessed that Axel must have his reasons for letting Zale took care of the other junior heroes.
The huge armadillo was only a meter away from Distere and me. Distere was still lying on the ground and I guessed that Distere's body was fatigued from overexerting himself in using mana beyond his mana capacity.
I went in front of Distere and decided to tank the rolling attack of the huge armadillo with my mortal body without any magical defense.
I should be able to reduce the impact of the huge armadillo's rolling attack which would let Distere obtain less damage.
Although, that kind of action would cause my body to have serious wounds being inflicted on my body.
As I braced for the impact of the huge armadillo's rolling attack on my body, numerous roots grew out from the ground which then formed a thick root wall in front of me in an instant.
The huge armadillo collided with the thick root wall which caused the huge armadillo to bounce back from the thick root wall.
Only one hero in our group could manipulate nature most potently and efficiently. I'm sure that the one who cast the thick root wall to protect Distere and me was Aerin.
How could I forget about Aerin?! Aerin was only protecting Axel and isolating both Axel and her inside the wooden shield that she had created around Axel and her.
It doesn't mean that Aerin couldn't provide any assistance towards Distere and me. I was too focused on thinking of a way to survive that I had forgotten about Aerin's existence.
Aerin was occupied with protecting Axel but since Axel and she weren't attacked by the high-level monsters yet, Aerin could provide the thick root wall to defend Distere and me in time.
The huge armadillo started to roll towards the thick root wall at a high speed and after the huge armadillo collided with the thick root wall, the thick root wall was destroyed but the huge armadillo was bounced back in the process.
Before the huge armadillo could rotate and head towards Distere and me, the wood from the trees went towards the sky and formed a cage.
The wooden cage fell on the huge armadillo which locked the huge armadillo inside the wooden cage.
I don't know if the wooden cage was durable enough to withstand the assault of attacks from the huge armadillo but I was going to find out about that sooner or later.
The huge armor armadillo tried to break free from the wooden cage by slamming and rolling itself towards one of the wooden bars of the wooden cage.
There weren't any cracks that had appeared from the wooden cage from the first attack of the huge armor armadillo and after the second attack of the huge armor armadillo, only a small crack appeared on the wooden cage.
The wooden cage was too durable that it could even withstand the full force attack of a high-level monster that was above level 70,000.
The huge armadillo kept on attempting to break free from the wooden cage and each attack of the huge armor armadillo caused a small crack to appear on the wooden cage.
Although one attack of the huge armadillo wasn't that big of a deal towards the wooden cage, the accumulated damage on the wooden cage was the main problem that could allow the huge armadillo to break free from the wooden cage.
There was now a medium-sized crack on the wooden bars of the wooden cage and the crack kept on getting bigger as the huge armor armadillo kept on attacking the wooden bars of the wooden cage.
Distere and I were fortunate enough that the huge armadillo couldn't use magic or else that would cause more trouble for Distere, Aerin, and me.
As I was witnessing the breakthrough attempt of the huge armadillo, the grasses, roots, and woods from the surrounding area started to gather in front of me and then formed a sword.
The wooden grass sword in front of me must have been created by Aerin so that I could wield it to fight against the huge armadillo.
Aerin must have known that the wooden cage alone wouldn't be able to contain the huge armadillo so she used the wooden cage to trap the huge armadillo in the meantime and create a weapon for me to use.
Fortunately, I had not used all of my mana and my mana had regenerated which my mana total was now 12%.
Since I had the wooden grass sword as my weapon instead of condensing mana to create a weapon that would consume my mana every minute, 12% mana stored in my mana pool was enough to eliminate the huge armadillo.
With that in mind, I grabbed the wooden grass sword and tightly held it on both of my hands while performing a sword stance.
