The whole group went to a nearby restaurant and hungrily ate the food that they ordered.
As a result, however, everyone was quickly hit with the infamous food coma and needed to find a place to take a nap immediately.
They rented out a hotel using Yuuto's credit card that Akari had borrowed in advance.
All the boys and girls were separated into two groups depending on their gender and were sent to different rooms as a result of that.
Akari rented two rooms of four for each gender to ensure that everyone would have enough breathing room around each other.
After the rooms were ready for use, everyone rushed to their rooms to partake in the afternoon nap that was beckoning their names.
As soon as their heads hit the pillow, everyone quickly fell asleep and began to have blissful dreams.
Everyone but Takei, at the very least.
Since he had taken several breaks while they were at the beach, Takei wasn't nearly as tired as everyone else.
Rather, he was practically fully energized and ready to get some exercise in.
"Yosh, let's go."
Quietly slipping out of the room, Takei headed to the exit of the hotel to try and get in a light jog before everyone else woke up.
They would have to leave later in the night when Yuuto came to pick them up, so Takei wanted to make the best out of the current situation.
Standing outside the hotel, Takei noticed the peaceful park located near his current location and moved towards that area.
Once Takei reached the park, he began to do some basic stretching before beginning his jog.
"That should do it..."
After the warmup was completed, Takei ran a couple laps around the park while focusing on controlling his breathing and increasing his stamina.
Ensuring that he was in a peaceful state of mind, Takei took in the cool and refreshing wind that passed by him.
"Ah, this is the life!"
There was a feeling of satisfaction with his life that took hold of his heart.
At this moment, Takei was truly happy and content with his life.
Continuing his jog, Takei ran for a few more minutes until he spotted someone familiar that he hadn't seen in a long time.
"Oh? It's been a while, Takei."
The girl, Mai Kawashima, greeted him once she realized that it was Takei in front of her.
"Hey, what're you doing here?"
Takei was confused as to why he met a familiar acquaintance so far away from their home area.
"I'm just here to have some fun with family, what about you?"
"Group excursion."
Takei bluntly stated the purpose for his outing, even though there were many other better ways to state it.
Even though Mai had only known Takei for a short amount of time, she knew that he wasn't trying to be rude on purpose.
Sensing something different about him, Mai decided to prod a little bit deeper.
"Did something drastically change in your life?"
"Something like that..."
Takei immediately understood what she was trying to get at, so he replied with a sincere smile.
"In short, I got together with Akari and have been trying my best to be someone that can be proud of himself."
At the sudden news, Mai looked slightly shocked but not too surprised.
"Hm, I kind of expected it already. Didn't think it would be this early though..."
"Oi."
Mai had thought that it would've taken much longer until Takei would be ready to tell Akari about his blatantly obvious feelings.
For what it was worth, Takei did manage to confess in a reasonable amount of time.
After this small back and forth between them, Takei and Mai proceeded to catch up with each other.
They were telling each other about everything that had happened in their lives recently.
Half an hour passed and the conversation dwindled to a normal stopping point.
"Alright, I think it's my time to leave."
For some odd reason, Mai was impatiently looking over Takei's shoulder.
As a result of this observation, Takei turned around and noticed a shadow behind a nearby tree.
There stood a beautiful golden-colored hair girl who looked incredibly anxious.
Is it because I secretly left the hotel without telling anyone and then met up with another girl?
Focusing harder on the supposedly hidden girl, Takei realized that her clothes were wrinkled and disorderly.
Looking at the situation from an outsider's point of view, it looked like Takei was having an affair with another girl after just having gotten together with Akari.
He rubbed his temple in realization of his mistake and bid his farewells to Mai.
"Ah, I'll catch you later then."
"No problem, good luck!"
Knowing that Takei needed to do something about the situation, Mai gave him her best wishes.
She swiftly departed, which then left Takei to deal with his currently "hidden" girlfriend.
He walked in a roundabout way over to the tree and tapped Akari on the shoulder.
"Hey."
"!"
Due to Takei approaching quietly from behind, Akari was surprised since she hadn't realized that he had changed positions.
Before Akari could say anything, Takei dropped to the ground in a prone position and tried his best to explain the situation.
"I'm sorry about leaving without telling you, I promise I wasn't doing anything bad!"
"Um, I know you weren't?"
"Eh?"
It looked like there was a misunderstanding between the two.
"Takei, I know that you would never cheat on me... What kind of impression do you have of your girlfriend?!"
Akari giggled as she poked fun of her image inside of Takei's head.
Realizing that she wasn't mad, Takei stood up from his prone position.
"Then, what was that anxiousness on your face?"
"I thought you were sick or in trouble, so a bunch of negative what-if scenarios popped up in my head..."
As she continued her explanation, Akari's heavy feelings for him became ever so more evident.
She had quickly run out of the hotel once she realized that Takei wasn't sleeping in his room.
Akari remembered that Takei had a thing for peaceful areas, so she ran to the closest park in a hurry and found him chatting with Mai.
She quickly hid behind a tree because Akari felt that it would be rude to interrupt their conversation.
Due to all the jogging, there was a slight tinge of exhaustion on Takei's face which Akari mistakenly thought of as an illness.
In the end, she was only concerned for my safety...
Not once had Akari ever doubted his faithfulness.
As a feeling of warmth circulated throughout his body, Takei felt the need to thank her for believing in him.
"Wha, wha, what?!"
He scooped her up in his arms which inevitably resulted in a bridal carry that turned Akari a bright red color.
"I have something I want to show you."
