"I have a task for the honorable and selfless gentleman, Takei Tanaka!"
"..."
Precisely a day after Aurora had recruited Takei to become a "member" of the student council, he was notified by text that there was a task awaiting him.
Arriving at the student council office, Takei was instantly bombarded with the ditzy version of the student council president that very few people knew of.
When he told Akari what happened the first time he entered this room, Akari laughed and told him that she had already been there and done that.
Aurora had tried to recruit Akari one time in the past, but it didn't go too well.
With her goddess aura on full blast, she politely declined and left the room while Aurora was bawling on the floor and begging her to stay.
Once Takei heard Akari's experience, he realized that he had been a bit too lenient with his treatment of the ditzy student council president.
Maybe it's because she was a beautiful girl?
Takei knew that he was weak to beautiful girls, but who wasn't?
Nonetheless, he was now stuck with helping the student council every once in a while.
"Your task for today is to... water the flowers in the flower bed!"
"Huh, that's easy... Sure, I guess?"
Takei thought she was going to give him a strenuous task that was going to take a tedious amount of time, but he was thoroughly surprised when that wasn't the case.
The school had a flower garden that they had planted a while ago, but not many people actually maintained the garden.
Only volunteers or kind souls would step up to the plate to ensure that the flowers got water every once in a while.
"Yeah, it's not hard at all. We just don't have anyone to actually water it, since the student council has its hands tied right now."
Explaining the reason why such an easy task was being handed to him, Aurora sighed to herself as she lamented the fact that the student council couldn't help.
"So please, show those flowers some love."

During his lunch break, Takei recruited his partner-in-crime and brought Akari out to the flower garden to have a nice little lunch after he had finished watering them.
As per usual, she had packed them two bentos and was ready to spoil Takei's taste buds once more.
Once they got to the garden, Takei began to lay down the picnic blanket while Akari unboxed all of the food.
He had noticed that this side of the campus was oddly deserted, which was most likely due to the relatively unknown area that not many people needed to go through in order to get to their classes.
While Akari was setting out the lunch boxes, Takei decided to take a stab at watering the flowers.
There was a hose with a knob attached to it which indicated that it was the right thing to water the flowers with.
Turning the knob to let the water flow out of the hose, Takei prepared to let these flowers live another day.
He took aim and let the cold, refreshing water splash onto the dehydrated flowers.
As he drowned the flowers in an appropriate amount of water, Takei noticed that there was a single flower that still maintained its luster and beauty even though no one had been taking care of it.
A red rose, to be specific.
You're a strong one, aren't you? You're so thin and fragile, yet you're so strong at the same time...
Takei wanted to let the flower be, but he knew of a better use for the flower than letting it waste away in an abandoned garden.
Taking gentle care not to break it, Takei carefully plucked the flower out of the garden.
Hiding it behind him, Takei walked back to the eating area where Akari had just finished setting up.
"I'm back."
"Oh, what took you so long?"
Akari tilted her head in confusement, which made Takei immediately praise the gods for bestowing on him such a cute girlfriend.
"Before we eat, I have something for you..."
Moving his hands to the front of his body, Takei revealed the pristine rose that he had gotten for her.
"!"
As a result of the surprise, a wide smile began to spread across Akari's face.
Receiving the rose from Takei, Akari happily hummed to herself as she gently cradled the delicate flower.
"Thanks, it's beautiful..."
"Not as beautiful as you are though."
"..."
In response to Takei's honest opinion, Akari's face turned a shade of red that was reminiscent of the rose's deep crimson color.
Seeing the flustered Akari always brought a big smile to Takei's face without fail.
He sat down next to her and ruffled her hair to help calm down her heart that was beating incredibly fast.
Although, that might've been a bit contradictory to his intentions.

Why does my boyfriend have such a powerful attack stat?!
First, he brings me out to have a nice little picnic during lunch.
Then, he picks out a nice flower for me.
After that, he compliments me, sits down, and starts ruffling my hair.
He's just... too much for my heart sometimes.
Looking at him, you would've never guessed that he was a gloomy teenager a few months ago.
If you looked at him now, all you would see is an upstanding gentleman who is nice and kind to everyone he meets.
Nice and kind minus the aloofness, that is.
Well, it's a blessing to have such a great boyfriend and I love him dearly.
But...
He's getting more handsome and popular by the day, and that scares me.
What if some prettier girl comes by and steals him away from me?
Although I know his heart is unwavering and that his love for me is undying, I still get worried from time to time.
Am I just being an overly worried girlfriend?
I would like to think I'm not, but the answer is a bit obvious...
Putting aside that thought for now, it became clear to me what I needed to do.
I need to spoil him so much that he's useless without me!
