In a dark and dimly lit basement...
"Hello?! Is there anyone there?!"
A young boy's voice echoed as loud as possible from deep within the basement that was void of any light or people.
"Coming dear~"
"Agh! Not you!"
A sweet and gentle feminine voice came from another part of the basement that was shrouded in shadows, which prompted the boy to scream in horror.
"Akari, please! Let me go and we can talk about this!"
"Why would I let you out when I have you here all to myself?"
The boy, Takei Tanaka, had been imprisoned in this basement for about a week by his (surprisingly) yandere girlfriend, Akari Akazawa.
He hadn't known about her yandere side beforehand, but he was now experiencing it full force.
There should usually be a gentle and kind smile on her face, but there was now an eerie smile plastered onto her beautiful face.
"What prompted this to happen?" Takei asked. "Was it because I hung out with Rikka without telling you?"
Akari shook her head. "Yes and no."
Moving closer towards Takei, Akari sat on his lap and gently laid her head on his chest.
"I've always been jealous of those other girls that you're close to," Akari nihilistically chuckled. "Rikka, Arisa, Helena, I've always been wary of them. I know you're a faithful person, but those women are constantly aiming for the position next to you. To me, who is your one and only beloved, that is truly... unacceptable."
Takei didn't know that she had always been thinking like this, since Akari wore an impeccable mask and an unbreakable poker face.
"I'm still yours though?" Takei gently reminded her. "None of them had tried to make attempts at me after we got together, so I think your suspicions are quite unnecessary..."
"You're wrong," Akari coldly affirmed.
Takei recoiled in fear, which caused Akari to start fumbling around since she realized that she had accidentally scared him.
"A-ah, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" Akari got off his lap and bowed repeatedly. "I just know that those scheming vixens are out for your body. It's my job to protect your chastity until we get married!"
What in the actual f*ck.
"Haha, anyways..." Takei fearfully chuckled. "Can I go now? I promise that I'll love you and only you. I won't cheat on you, I promise. Plus, my parents and sister are probably worrying since I'm missing."
When Takei explained the situation to her, Akari questionably tilted her head.
"Parents? Don't worry I told them that you were busy studying hard so you can't answer the phone. Sister? I managed to fool her by making up a story. Possible love interests? I removed all of them from the equation," Akari explained.
R-removed?! What does she mean by that?!
"H-hey... Miss Akari?" Takei gingerly asked.
"What is it, my dear?" Akari smiled ominously.
"Where are the other girls?" Takei got to the point.
Akari was silent in response to his question. "..."
Since she wasn't being silent and unresponsive, Takei feared the worst had happened.
"What have you done with them!" Takei bellowed.
This was the first time ever that Takei had ever yelled at Akari, which surprised her more than it did him.
Not knowing that Takei could get so angry, Akari started shivering. "I-I did what was best for you! I got rid of my rivals in love!"
"What do you mean you got rid of them?!" Takei paled. "Bring me to them right this instant! I need to check if they're okay!"
"You're going to cheat!" Akari accused. "I won't have it! No! No! No!"
Takei began to get angrier by the moment. "I said... BRING ME TO THEM NOW."
Scared by Takei's strong echoing voice, Akari loosened up the chains around the chair just enough for him to move around.
Even though Takei was still chained up, he was now able to move.
"They're in this other room," Akari pointed towards a hidden trapdoor in the shadows. "Come on, let's go."
Takei slowly followed Akari down through the trap door and was greeted with a similarly dim-lit room that was inferior in cleanliness to the one that he had been in.
He could tell that this room has been neglected for a while.
Once his eyes further adjusted to the darkness, he could see three silhouettes chained up against the wall.
"Rikka... Arisa... Helena too...?" Takei gasped. "Akari, what have you done..."
"As I said, I removed my rivals from the equation," Akari happily smiled. "Don't worry, I feed them every once in a while to keep them alive. I know you would be sad if they died."
For some reason, she was looking at the girls as if she was proud of her handiwork.
All three of the girls were gagged and unconscious, except for one of them.
Takei could see a glimmer of light reflect from Helena's eyes.
They were barely open, but Takei could tell that she was conscious.
She was mumbling something that Takei couldn't understand since the gag was covering her mouth, but he could somewhat make out the words that she was trying to say from her mouth movements.
Run. Run far away. Forget about us. Save yourself.
Takei wanted to help Helena and the other girls escape, but it was impossible with his current skill set and impairment.
Promising himself to save them once he was able to, Takei bolted out the trapdoor and tried to make a break for the stairs leading up to the first floor of the house.
Once he got to the door that was the entrance to the basement, Takei turned the knob only to find...
"Locked..." He impatiently muttered.
There was no way of escaping.
As he was about to think of another way to escape, he felt a needle enter his skin from his arm.
"Where are you going, dear?" Akari sadly asked from behind him.
Even though he felt his whole body numbing over, there was nothing that Takei could do.
Before he could fall to the floor, Akari catched him with her slender arms.
"Let's go back now..." Akari cheerfully said. "...and do some flirting, hehehe..."
She carried his numbed body all the way back to the chair that he was initially in and relocked the chains.
"That's good, can't have you escaping again, can I?" Akari giggled.
"Akari..." Takei weakly murmured.
His consciousness was rapidly fading due to the effects of that needle.
"Hm?" Akari said.
"..." Nothing came out of Takei's mouth due to his sliver of consciousness.
"Oh well... That needle was too potent," Akari shrugged. "Time to work on a new version."
Wrapping her arms around Takei from behind him, Akari kissed his left cheek.
"Let's get married, have kids, grow old together, and die of old age at the same time," Akari whispered to him. "I love you so much, Takei."
"A...kar...i..."
That was the last thing he managed to say before his consciousness disappeared completely.
