It was now a few days later after Takei had received the confession from Mitsuki. In contrast to Takei's belief, nothing significant had happened since then.
Akari had visited Takei when he was in the infirmary and made sure that he was okay. After his health stabilized, Takei attended classes like normal.
On this fine morning today, Takei woke up to the birds outside chirping and the sun shining brightly.
"It seems a little too perfect... Yep, something troublesome is definitely about to happen."
Takei had been through this scenario too many times to not notice a pattern. Whenever the world was fine and dandy was when Takei was about to encounter some problems.
As if he had future sight, Takei's phone started ringing. He checked the caller and noticed that it was a new number that he had never seen before.
Takei knew that this number was not one of his contacts, but who could it be? Tempted by the curse of curiosity, Takei answered the phone.
"Hello? Who is this?"
An excited feminine giggle could be heard in the background of the call before someone finally answered.
"Heyyyy! It's your beautiful wife, Mitsuki Fujiwara! My dear husband, I just wanted to call you to make sure that you were awake. No I'm sorry, I lied. I really really really wanted to hear your voice!" Mitsuki rambled.
"Uh-huh..."
Takei wasn't sure how to react to being called her husband, so his mind went completely blank. Didn't he reject her confession?
"I'll be at your house soon with some morning breakfast, so please anxiously wait for your cute wife to make her commute!"
"Eh? Commute, you say?"
"Although I'm sad that I have to commute, it's the limitations of our age and society. I have to follow the rules until we're old enough to sustain ourselves without our parents. It's okay though, I hear a commuting wife is very popular amongst men!"
This girl is insane. She's coming here to my house?! Why did today have to be one of the days that Akari and I walk to school separately?!
Before he could even say anything back, the doorbell to his house loudly went off.
"Akari's here today? I thought we were walking separately..." Takei mumbled.
He went to the front door and opened it without a second thought, which ended up being an incredibly stupid idea.
"Hello, dear husband! Here's your breakfast," Mitsuki handed him a bento box. "Hurry up and eat that so we can walk to school tomorrow. You wouldn't want to keep your wife waiting, right?"
Most people who met Takei would say that he was pretty smart, but that only applied to academics. Common sense was another thing. A majority of people wouldn't just mindlessly open their front door without checking it.
Knowing that he needed to stop this as fast as possible, Takei decided to place his foot down. "Okay, let's get this straight. I am NOT your husband. You are NOT my wife. I'm dating Akari and NOT you. Please get away from me."
Instead of a shocked or angry expression, Mitsuki had a rather relaxed expression. "What do you mean we're not married? We promised to get married from a young age, don't you remember?"
"I met you like a week ago?!"
Time was ticking and school was starting soon, so Takei did not have the time to entertain her antics. It seemed that she wouldn't listen anyways.
"I'm getting dressed, so just stay away from me. Please find someone else to be your husband."
"You're my only husband though?"
Yeah, this girl won't f*cking listen!
Takei got pissed off and went back inside his house to change clothes. He then left through his backyard by climbing over the fence and running as fast as possible.
I should've lost her by now...
"Dear husband, where were you going without me?"
"Agh!"
Mitsuki was right next to him with a happy expression on her face. She was positively beaming as she followed Takei to school.
"I brought you a bouquet of flowers. I made sure to choose your favorite kind as well."
"How did you know my favorite flowers were sunflowers...?"
"A wife always knows her husband's likes and dislikes. I know that you like big-breasted girls who are cute, which makes me a little sad but I'll work my hardest to make them grow!"
"Stoooooop! You don't have to work on anything!"
He was getting seriously creeped out by how she knew his likes and dislikes. Takei really wanted to call Akari for help, but he would meet her at school soon anyways. He just needed to endure this weirdo for a little bit until he could meet up with Akari and explain the situation to her.
"Ah, can you please walk a little further away from me?"
Takei wanted to believe that it was his imagination when Mitsuki kept trying to snuggle up to him, but he couldn't ignore her when she tried to grab his arm to hug it.
"It's a wife's duty to stay close to her husband to ward off potential vixens. I humbly request to get even closer to you. It'll increase the effectiveness of warding off love rivals, I promise."
"My a*s it will!"
"Anyways, when are we having our first kid? I want to have six kids in total and at least a pair of twins. A 3-3 split of boys and girls will be fine. Ah, first we're going to have to make love. Where shall we have our first time? I want it to be special, so maybe on a hillside at night? We could do it in a love hotel as well if you want to. Even your room would suffice. Okay, let's start right away. Let's go back to your house right now!"
"No, no, noooooooo!"
Takei yelled in denial as loud as possible as he ran to school at a pace that would earn him a gold medal in the Olympics.
"Oh, he's gone..."

No Akari again?! Wtf is wrong with you author?
Serious-san: Don't worry, she'll come to save her knight soon!
Sugar-chan: Oh? Is that why the next chapter title is called yandere vs yandere?
Serious-san: Precisely!
