Splitting the squad would only weaken them. They then would be walking into a slaughter if those below had the same strength.

As he was about to question the teenage youth with dreads he heard Taf say,

Malgrey sighed as he looked to Niesha who as of yet couldn't make heads or tails of the situation. Before he asked,

" How then would the squad be split?"

" Simple excepting for myself and May everyone else will offer assistance to Squad Ava. While May and I will handle things below."

Taf smiled as he replied, apparently what he stated was a mere inconvenienced. At least this was how it appeared to those who heard his words.

Soon the White Hawk made it's way into the distance heading west in the direction of Squad Ava.

To which Taf only grinned in return while May's eyes were still unmoving from him.

" Damn it Taf! You told me you would have gone all out." She fumed having realized once more in a battle Taf held back his trump cards.

" We're heading to the gates of Starlight City on foot having lost all demon beasts. " He stated in a dejected manner. While speaking words he never thought he would have to say today.

" Try to save as many as possible while retreating." Hearing his words Malgrey who was on route to Ava was stunned as he momentarily paused.

It seemed the situation was worse than he thought. Now he was in a quandary there were two squads in need of assistance.

However, with the manpower at his disposal, he could only truly choose one. Soon he heard a buzz in his ear and the caller was Taf.

" Continue as planned to assist Ava." He was startled at Taf's response but what surprised him, even more, was how calm his tone was.

Did anything seemingly phase this youth? However, knowing who had spoken he agreed while making haste in the direction of Ava.

To the slight north of Starlight City, May looked at Taf while smiling. She then said to him,

" Our deal still stands. Don't cheat brute."

" Like I would give up the chance to defeat you once more. Keep in contact with me through the whole thing you big flower."

He laughed while diving from Hammerhead's back having complete confidence in May's ability to handle the situation.

May watched as Taf skydived with seeming ease as on her face a smile shun through knowing she was no longer his damsel in distress.

" Hammerhead, to the east!" She ordered the red-feathered eagle who tore through the skies with haste.
