Demetrius, Archie and Ethan gasped when they had a glimpse of what was inside the teddy bear. But Aisha knitted her brows.
So what's the big deal with that stuff? She thought.
Caleb was holding a handful of an oblong light green pill with a blue core. It was safely hidden inside the bear.
"A pill? What's the big deal with that?" Aisha creased a brow. She has never seen anything like that before.
"It's a Rohypnol if I am not mistaken." Ethan answered. "It is commonly known as Mexican Valium."
"What's that? why do they have to hide it inside that bear?" Aisha appears to be innocent with those kinds of drugs.
"Rohypnol is a class of tranquilizer agents. It was previously manufactured as a white tablet that was odorless and colorless, making it easy to slip into someone's drink. But now, it is formulated as an oblong light green pill with a blue core. In low doses, it is a sedative and muscle relaxant. However, in higher doses, it can cause lack of muscle control, amnesia, loss of inhibitions, and loss of consciousness." Ethan explained in a more concise way.
Aisha held her breath when she realized Ethan's point.
"Did you mean…it is ---''
"A kind of club drug or should we say date **** drug." Caleb interjected.
Everyone was in deep thought. So that means their original products are being used as carriers of these drugs?
"I think aside from Rohypnol, there are other types of drugs since this particular pill have a code number on its plastic house. This one says RH36 B50. I just don't know what it meant." Caleb showed them the printed words.
"RH36 B50…" Aisha whispered as she traces her jaw. "But why do they have to use our products as carriers? Don't they have other methods or stuffs aside from ours?" Aisha kept mumbling trying to analyze the situation.
"The reason isn't clear for now. But the most important thing here is we know that the culprits are part of the organization." Caleb stated over the phone.
"But how could they do that?" Aisha exclaimed, "Dad, I thought you have a code for this kinds of transactions? I thought this kind of operation has been long forbidden by your reformed organization?" she looked at her father who was in daze.
"It is indeed prohibited and every member knew the consequences of entering that kind of business. But whoever was behind this doesn't fear the upshots. And he even dares to insult the Chief Head." Archie countered.
"So what's the next plan now since we already knew these illegal transactions? Aren't we going to raid their safe place?" Aisha asked.
"We will, but not now." Demetrius finally spoke. everyone stared at his direction. "For now, we need to have a list of the people who's behind this." He stood up and walk near the window.
"But the manufacturing sites were all secured. I wonder how they managed to switch the products…" Aisha relayed her thoughts. "And where are they transporting them?"
"Drugs are common in the United States, Oceana and Asia, including some parts of Europe as well. Whoever's behind all these scheme is strategically smart. Using the original products produced by the King of the North is less likely to be suspected of any illegal transactions. So basically the culprits are using your credibility to send those illegal drugs abroad without alarming the authorities." Ethan shared his thoughts.
Aisha stared at him in awe. Oh how proud she is for her man! she smiled inwardly.
"I was thinking the same as Ethan." Caleb butt in. "Your integrity uncle Rio is quite famous not just in our country but also abroad. So any products under your name was given an easy access everywhere around the world." He continued.
"I'll make sure to get all the names of the members involved in this monkey business within this week. I'll let you know." Caleb gave them assurance.
"Yes do that." Archie agreed.
"I'll join you." Aisha stood up.
"No you can't!" Rio was firm.
"But Dad…"
"I said NO, Aisha! that's final." Rio turned his back angrily.
Then there was an eerie silence for a minute.
"Dad, you have five manufacturing sites in the North. And you sent Caleb ALONE to spy on what is happening out there. Currently, Caleb is watching that private house to get some names. While you and Uncle Archie are currently trying to fix the merchant's problem here in Central State. Do you think you'll be able to solve all the problem there is with just a number of people?" Aisha spoke her mind.
"I can help, dad. Whereas you, uncle Archie and Caleb do your own jobs, I'll help Caleb monitor the manufacturing sites. With that we will be able to track how they switch the products and where are they sending it. We can also monitor the shipping companies in the north, maybe we will be able to get an information who their clients are abroad." She continued.
"I know I don't have the right to interfere with your business but I agree with Aisha." Ethan intervene. Aisha was surprise to hear him as well.
"Ethan…" she unbelievingly mumbled.
"I myself doesn't want Aisha to be a part of this, but she has a point. you'll be able to solve this problem quickly if you designate more people to help. However, having Aisha isn't enough." He continued.
"I think I know what you're trying to say." Caleb laughed while Ethan smiled at him. ah, men's minds are so great.
"And I like that idea. Ah! I miss working with the pack." Caleb's laugh echoed in Rio's room.
Rio and Archie looked at each other. seems like Ethan's suggestion isn't that bad. It was actually great! They smiled as if they knew what's on each other's thoughts.
"But I would like to add one member in your pack." He smirked.
Caleb creased a brow while the three looked at him with a question mark.
