She leaned on a huge tree as she tries to catch some air after trekking the mountains. She doesn't understand why but for the past few days, she easily gets tired and have been hungry for more sleep.
Maybe that's because of their restless nights and for thinking a lot of things the past few days, she justified. she took her bottled water and sip a bit before she continues hiking the path to where Caleb is. Although the men guarding the place wrap up their investigation for the day, Aisha and Caleb must be extra careful. Who knows they had installed traps everywhere.
"Where are you now?" Aisha heard Caleb on the earpiece.
"Almost there." she mumbles. after a few minutes, Aisha sat beside Caleb who was looking at the target place using his binoculars.
"What's the update below?" Aisha whispered.
"The place is heavily guarded. They have doubled their security." He answered.
"Any spot where we can sneak inside?" Aisha brought out her own binoculars to scout the whole place.
"It'll be difficult but we might be able to enter through the rooftop."
"But they have soldiers watching on the tower. They will easily see us." She fused.
"I know. So our only way is through the door." Caleb spurt.
"We'll have to prepare for that. but as for now, we need to put up this new surveillance camera somewhere safe."
"Do you have them?" Caleb glanced at her.
"In my bag."
Caleb opened Aisha's bag and took the mini cameras. They can't fail this time. as soon as they placed them somewhere safe and invisible in the eyes, they tried to look for the other cameras. They only heaved a sigh of relief when they saw that the camera's were still on their places. Some squirrels or who knows what, had damage it. phew! They're not doomed. thank goodness.
After securing the place, Aisha called Sophie to check on them.
"We had just arrived." Sophie reported.
"Okay. call us if you need help."
"Got it." then Sophie hung up.
Hunter stayed outside the manufacturing site. They designated him to be the lookout so he searched for a place where he can watch the whole area. Then he took out his sniper gun and started to monitor their movements.
Sophie and Shawn tried to sneak inside the factory. Sophie decided to check the basement while Shawn went to the production area. He pretended to be one of the cleaner, but after a few minutes of observing, he concluded that everything's fine inside the production.
Sophie on the other hand went to inspect the basement area. But he never expected to see a lot of big truck containers. She counted them and there are at least twenty in total. She grasped. As far as she knows, there are only ten trucks in each sites. She was also dumbstruck when she saw a massive collection of stuffs.
Wait! the factory can't possibly produce these number of toys in a week or in day! but where did they came from?! she was thinking when Shawn spoke using the earpiece.
"I can't see any strange behavior inside the production. How about you Sophie?"
"I think I have an idea of what is truly happening here." Sophie responded as she tried to sneak inside one of the container truck. She tried to inspect the toys inside and she was able to recognize them.
"Fake!" Sophie suddenly grasped. When she heard voices coming from the outside, she came out immediately and hides under the track. As soon as they passed through, she immediately dash towards the containers parked opposite the others.
"Want do you mean?" Shawn whispered.
"I think the reason why we haven't seen any switch up lately is because they do it here and now." Sophie went inside the other container. She was trying to inspect the products. her eyes widened in disbelief. They were the original ones! She's right. then she tried to search for any drugs inside the stuff and there it was!
Now everything is clear to her now. they are doing the switch up right before they deliver the stuffs. So would that mean that there's a secret basement somewhere too? She's not sure yet but she needs to know.
She took the stuff and was about to get out when she suddenly heard a loud bang. She jerked when she realized that they locked the door from the outside. dang! she's trapped.
"Damn! I'm locked inside the container!"she squeaked.
"What?!" Hunter and Shawn yelp in unison.
"I'm coming!" Shawn hurried to the basement but he doesn't know which container since the trucks started to move.
"It's moving!" Sophie informed them.
"Where are you? All the trucks were moving!" Shawn mumbled worriedly.
"Excuse me sir but you are not allowed here." Shawn heard a big hoarse voice. He turned around to see two big guys behind him.
"I'm sorry I'm new here. I didn't know this place was forbidden." He fakes a smile as he hesitantly exited the basement.
"I'm sorry Sophie." he whispered guiltily. "Hunter wait for me outside. we will follow those trucks." Shawn went out immediately.
Hunter hates to stay outside doing nothing when Sophie is in danger. "Sophie hold on. we will save you." his tone was stern.
After a few minutes, Hunter saw Shawn dashing towards him. he climbed down to meet him then gave him his stuffs and went back to their car. They decided to follow the trucks who treks the public road.
"You're worried about her, It's painted all over your face?" Shawn started to tease Hunter whose knuckles were about to turn white while gripping the steering wheel.
"I'm not. I'm afraid Caleb and Aisha will kill us if something bad happens to her." Hunter lied.
"Liar!" Shawn scoffed. "If you love her, just tell her directly." he chuckled mockingly.
"Tsk!" Hunter sneered but deep inside him, he was deeply worried. They followed the loaded trucks until from the ports. They hide themselves as they tried to open the containers one by one but they didn't see Sophie anywhere.
"What do you think are you doing?" one of the drivers spotted them opening the locked doors.
"Where just checking the products as the client instructed." Hunter lied. The driver glared at him but after a second, he left.
"Sophie, where are you?" Hunter spoke using the earpiece. "We can't find you anywhere the containers!"
"I don't know either. But I think this truck is on its way to their secret hideout." Sophie answered sleepily. "Don't try to find me for now. I'll try to sneak inside their hideout." Sophie informed them.
"No! its too dangerous, Sophie!" Hunter wailed.
