With big droopy eyes, she looked outside the window from her room. The sun was shining very bright but one can see the dull atmosphere around her. Lately, she's been shutting herself inside her room and she minimally gets out. One can distinguish her lifelessness since she came back from the Central state.
Lisa's friends and family rarely sees her outside. They can't hardly see the lively Lisa before. the Lisa in front of them was a broken-hearted one. It pains her family to see her desolate situation but what else can they do? they have seen a lot of broken-hearted women before and they're sure that Lisa will be able to get through it as well.
When Lisa came home, they immediately talked and settled everything. According to their tribal tradition, they can't marry a divorcee nor a widow, especially that Lisa was never been married before. of course, she can't rebut since it was impossible for her family to consider her case. She was desolate to hear the final verdict but what can she do? maybe, they were never meant to be from the very start.
However, the heartache is too much to take for Lisa. She loves that man very much and she learnt to love Sahaya even for the shortest time. will she just give up without a fight? Will she be okay? will she allow their rules and traditions to dictate her life? she doesn't want to! but she can't also risk her mother's health in exchange for her happiness. Her mother got out from the hospital when she came home. at least by now, she looked better than before.
But what will she do with her promise to Elise? Is she going to ditch the dead woman's last wish too? She felt guilty all of the sudden.
One can see how she lost weight the past days. It must have been the effect of her no appetite the past days. The heartache of losing the person you loved had a great impact on her but no one from her family had noticed it. now she's on the brink of crying her heart out again.
Few minutes later, she heard a knock outside her room. "Come in." she weakly yelled as she wipes her tears away. Oh, it was her sister! she somehow lit up.
"Lisa…" she heard a sad voice called out. she was surprised to see her sister Jane.
"Jane!" she yelped then her tears gushed out once again. Her sister walked to her and embraced her tight, expressing her heartfelt understanding. Jane was her sister who first experienced the harsh result of the tribal tradition. She's been there than that, so she should know how Lisa is feeling right now.
"I heard what happened. I'm sorry." she was caressing her back.
"Sister… It hurts!" she cried. "It's killing me, Jane… I feel like I'm dying!"
"Shhh… please be strong Lisa. I know how painful it is but you need to be strong." She uttered full of understanding. Jane gave her time to release all her bottled emotions. Of course she knew how hard it is since she had undergone such unfortunate events before as well. After a few minutes, Lisa tried to calm down.
"How did you manage to live through all those pains?" Lisa suddenly asked while looking outside the window.
"It was damn hard and believe me, I'm still trying to live each day accordingly. However, we need to learn how to live in this cruel world, you know." Jane painfully chuckled.
"How about now? are you happy marrying a man whom you do not love at all?"
Jane heaved a heavy sigh. "It was hard at first but I've got to accept my situation now." she sat in front of her. "But Lisa, I don't want you to go down the same path I went through. You can still change your destiny!" she encouraged.
"But it's too late, Jane." She leaned at the window's edge dejectedly. "Mom and dad said they have found someone who wants to marry me." Then once again, she teared up.
"Lisa…" she muttered. Seems like she had thought of something so she stood up. "I won't allow you to experience the same thing that had happened to me!" she yelped as she strides towards the door.
"Jane…" Lisa muttered as she watches the woman walked out the room. then once again, she miserably looked outside the window. Ah, her mind reminisces the happy moments she had with Caleb--- her silly yet alluring Caleb.

"Shawn said that they saw Silver went home at around five in the afternoon, but they didn't see Aisha inside the car." Ethan reported.
"Then where did he possibly kept her?" Rio was tracing his jaw.
"We can issue a search warrant using this video as an evidence that Silver abducted Aisha." Ethan suggested.
"But as you have said earlier, Aisha is not with Silver when he went home. We can definitely issue a search warrant but we need to know where he took her." Rio replied.
"I can search all of Silver's assets at the Central city. it might help us in finding where he hides madam Aisha." Larry suggested.
"That's a good idea, Larry. Please do." Ethan ordered.
While Ethan and Rio was discussing for more plans, Sherry waited for Stacy to wake up so she could surprise her. and it didn't last long for Stacy to wake up. She was surprised to see Sherry sitting beside her.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.novelhall.comfor visiting.
"Mom?!" she yelped unbelievingly. She even tried to touch the woman and pinched herself just to make sure that she was not dreaming.
"You're not dreaming Emily." She smiled and touched her hand.
She called her Emily! Yes! it's totally mom! She yelped. "Mom!" Stacy started to teared up. They hugged each other tight for a few minutes.
"But how did you get away from that man?" Stacy asked when they broke away.
"I couldn't have done it without your sister and the other's help." She uttered thankfully.
"I knew Erika will save you!" Stacy leaped with joy. "Where is she?" she asked hopefully.
Sherry jolted in shock. What will she say? Will she tell her that Silver abducted her? guilt suddenly filled her heart. Stacy must have felt something was off since Sherry went silence for a few minutes now. she can't even see her straight in the eyes.
"Mom…? Where is Erika?" she asked once again. Sherry suddenly stood up, she started pacing back and forth. Stacy seems to have an idea but she doesn't want to voiced it out. she was hoping that she was wrong. suddenly, the door opened, then Rio, Ethan and Larry came into the scene. Puzzlement was painted all over their faces. They should be thinking what had happened since silence engulfed the room and an awkward silence envelope the two.
"Where is my sister? Where is Erika?!" she yelped but the three men looked away regrettably as well as Sherry. No one was speaking, not even one. But Stacy seems to read their actions.
"Please don't tell me something happened to her!" she teared up. "Ah, my poor sister!" she sobs. "Erika… my sister is pregnant!" she burst.
All eyes widened in shock and they all stared at Stacy. "W-what? what did you just say?" Ethan staggered.
"You heard me correctly. She's pregnant with your baby!" her eyes were accusingly fixed on the man.
He crazily laughed. "Please tell me that your joking." He stared at her. "Stacy, you know that is not a good joke!" he bellowed.
"She's not joking." A feminine voice was heard from behind them.
"Sophie?" Ethan creased his brow.
"She's telling the truth. Aisha is pregnant, I think it's more than a month now." she walked near them.
With eyes open wide and jaw dropped unexpectedly, Ethan staggered backwards. He doesn't know what to say or do and what to feel. He has mixed emotion at the moment. Aisha is pregnant with their baby! But why did she never said any word about it? now his going crazy. Even Rio and Sherry were both rendered speechless. It should be a good news but why are they all feeling mortified all of a sudden?
Sherry suddenly teared up at the thought of her daughter Erika fighting against Silver's men with the baby in her womb.
"I'm sorry! it was all my fault!" she cried while covering her mouth with her palms.
