After traveling for two weeks, the ship finally arrived at the first port of Vezar. As expected… The trip lasted longer because the last time Zaos had been there, Ameria's entourage had been transported by one of the best ships in the country. Regardless, while the crew was working to unload the products they were going to sell on that island, Vamir approached Zaos.
"Have you decided where you want to go?" Vamir asked. "The weapons you sold me were valuable, but they didn't buy you the right to use my ship indefinitely."
"For how long can we use your ship?" Zaos asked.
"Six more weeks," Vamir replied.
What a load of bullshit… with those swords and spear, he could pretty much become a lord. It was more than sufficient to buy ten of those crap ships. Zaos wondered if he shouldn't just beat him down and force his crew to obey him. Unfortunately, Zaos didn't know enough about the sea to become the new captain.
"All right… I will decide soon enough our destination and then inform you," Zaos said.
Zaos already had a destination in mind but shouldn't reveal it so soon. He had some ideas in mind, so he was waiting for the right time. From that point onward, Zaos and Aleni took turns in keeping an eye on the crew and Vamir. It was so obvious that they were watching them that even the captain began to wonder if he hadn't had made the worst deal of his life. Since they weren't trying to hide, it was evident that they were watching the crew to do something if they were forced to. At that point in time, everyone knew that those two weren't normal people since they could watch the crew fight each other until they were beaten to a pulp without reacting in any way.
After the ship landed on some more islands, two more weeks had passed. In the end, he told Vamir that they were going south… to Ashiris kingdom. While Zaos didn't know much aside from the fact that the Sairus and Ashiris kingdom had many things in common, he learned a few others from Aleni.
"I heard that they also despite the demon god, but that they also use magic pretty much everywhere to improve the lives of everyone in the kingdom," Aleni explained. "I also heard that both kingdoms didn't fight each other in one hundred years, but they haven't been on good terms either."
When Vamir heard what Zaos's plans were, he couldn't help but frown. While the trip would last exactly one month, he had to consider the logistics of the travel. He didn't have time to sell the magic weapons, so he was short on cash. Not to mention, he also had to consider everything he would have to use on the way back and even the time he would have to waste.
"I am sorry to say that it won't be possible," Vamir said.
"What?" Zaos asked, already emitting his killing intent.
"… Unless you give me some time to sell the magic weapons, I won't be able to gather supplies for the whole trip," Vamir said.
"You can sell them at a much larger price in Ashiris kingdom," Zaos said.
"True, but I don't have enough connections to sell those there without risking my neck," Vamir said. "… That being said, I might have another option."
"I am listening," Zaos crossed his arms and then said.
"You see… there's this guy who commands most things in the next port, and he has been kind of a pain to me," Vamir said. "He always charges too much commission from me, so I think it is time for him to pay the price for all the troubles he had caused."
While Zaos listened to Vamir, he was only thinking about how he should split him in half, from head to toe, or just separate his lower and upper half? This guy was the one who learned a lesson, and his problems couldn't make Zaos care less. He didn't want to kill innocents because of Milliendra's situation, but that guy wasn't innocent by any means.
"I just want your friend to go to his house and steal his money," Vamir said. "With the amount he has, it will be enough to cover the costs of the whole trip."
"… All right, I will do it," Zaos said.
"You? Not her?" Vamir asked, visibly confused.
"Yeah, I definitely will," Zaos said.
After that, Zaos returned to the cabin, and Vamir returned to his work. Usually, it would be time for Aleni to go and keep an eye on them, but she stayed a while longer.
"What's wrong?" Zaos asked.
"I have good hearing too. I heard what you two talked about," Aleni asked. "Why did you say that you would do that?"
"I need to show that asshole something that will make him tremble from head to toe on his bed," Zaos said. "Otherwise, he will attempt something like this again. We can't kill him right now, so it is necessary."
Aleni nodded since Zaos apparently had something in mind. Still, she found it weird that someone aside from Ameria could do something like avoid using her to do the dirty work. She was finally starting to understand why Ameria trusted him so much… even though it should be obvious by now considering how well he looked after Milliendra.
Regardless, after two days, they reached the port where the man Vamir wanted to recover his money from. Zaos also waited for two more days to do anything. In the end, he accomplished his mission with ease. Still, before returning, he jumped as high as he could and then used a Thunder Blade on the target's house. Vamir saw that, and he knew what Zaos had done.
The next day, Vamir heard that in the attack, not a single person had been killed. All the guards and all those who lived in his house had been dealt with without shedding a single drop of blood. He also heard that his enemy had only lost half of his money, but all his house had been destroyed in the attack.. Thanks to that, Vamir realized that he shouldn't mess with Zaos, and during the trip to Ashiris, he trembled from head to toe while sweating cold when Zaos approached.
