Chapter 25 - Hercules: Rory: 2 wins, Knox: 1 win

When the alarm clock went off the next morning, Rory's arms felt like boulders as she rose from her fluffy queen sized bed.

The consequences for sitting in the same wooden chair for hours on end could be felt in every single part of her fragile body and moving even a little bit let out a series of bone crackles into the air.

Shamelessly, after sitting up, she dove her face into the cloud-like covers one more time. The black micro fibers from the blanket glided lightly over her exhausted expression.

"When I get return I'll definitely pay you back for seducing me", Rory ġrȯȧnėd out loud before fully removing her face from the blanket to get out of bed.

Despite her tired limbs, she jumped around slightly inside of her small room to fully wake up her body and started to preform some stretches.

Today was the day she scheduled to start her morning workout routine, therefore regardless of her body's condition she didn't have the time to delay herself.

Once she finished stretching, Rory transferred into doing jumping jacks.

The workouts were meant to increase her stamina before she moved on to learning how to fight. It was the only thing she could do at the moment without some kind of teacher; after all, fighting wasn't something someone could easily learn from watching it on the internet.

Also, considering all of the people she already pissed off, it was best to know how to run every once in a while...

Throughout the workout, she had to take multiple breaks in order to keep going.

And at jumping jack number 130, her arms wouldn't lift anymore to complete a full set.

She went limp and collapsed into her desk chair. The pace of her heart rhythm made her feel like her heart was on fire. For a moment she could only hear her harsh uneven breaths and heart beats.

Rory covered her heart through her overly large pajamas and started to breath in and out consistently to control her heart rhythm.

By the time she was finished, it was already 6:30 am, which meant 30 minutes passed and only 10 of those minutes were spent on actual workout.

She almost had a heart attack in 10 minutes.

Rory brushed her wet stringy hair out her face before letting out a sigh of disappointment.

However, she couldn't blame the previous host for her pain as she was the same or even worse in her past life.

Rory grabbed her school clothes from her dresser and left her main room. Her eyes were downcast and her legs were sluggish as she made her way toward the bathroom.

"It looks like you had a long night last night." A dark voice came from the kitchen causing the already worn out Rory to nearly trip over her own feet.

Her eyes cautiously traveled to the man sitting on a stool next to the kitchen counter. He was wearing a grew sweater and black jeans. One of his hands held a coffee cup and his posture was very sophisticated.

Because of how dark the living room was, the small light from the kitchen outlined his already handsome features perfectly creating a nearly ethereal image. If it wasn't for the slight discoloration under his eyes, one might forget he was human.

Under his eyelashes were two piercing blue eyes that remained fixedly on her.

Rory's lips curved up into a slight smile, however her eyes turned just as dark as Knox's.

The fact that he was sitting in the kitchen doing nothing but drinking coffee, in addition to the fact that someone like him asked her a question could only meant one thing.

He was waiting for her.

Did he recognize her speech pattern? Not likely, after all he would have to pay attention to her originally for that to happen.

Rory's mind quickly went over the situation before picking the worst case senario. Knox identified her speech pattern and was testing her at the moment.

If that was the case wasn't she obligated to completely crush this idea out of existence?

She didn't like acting, but if her life depended on it she would definitely turn into an Angelina Jolie (A/N- famous American actor) in a second.

Rory avoided Knox's eyes nervously and twisted her thin fingers together. Her lips pursed and her brown eyebrows scrunched together as if she was thinking about something.

"W-what are you talking about... did you hear something last night?"

Knox took a sip of his black coffee before his lips tilted up into a sinister smile. The already dark space seemed to grow even darker.

"I see you are acting again? I guess it's not acting because from my stand point you really are an idiot. Do you really think I wouldn't recognize w-"

Knox's eyebrows jumped up in surprise when the pretty boy in front of him dropped to the ground loudly. However, the view he saw somehow caused his cold heart to skip a beat.

Rory's large grey eyes were watery and her hands were placed together in a praying position. Her beautiful face was filled with distress and her lips turned down into a delicate pout.

Because of her rough motion when she got on her knees, her large shirt fell very slightly off of her shoulder exposing a lovely collarbone to the world.

The fluffy brown hair on her head nearly made her look like an adorable puppy.

Knox's mind went blank at the image. How could a guy be so adorable. No... what was he thinking?

His eyebrows formed a wrinkle on his forehead as he tried to organize his thoughts, however before he could, Rory's words placed him in even more confusion.

"Please! I will do anything! But don't tell my mom what I was doing! I'm begging you!"

Knox tried to make sense of what was happening. What he was doing? Hacking? Why would a demonically skilled hacker such as himself care at all? What was he trying to do?

As if he was worried that Knox wasn't willing to accept his offer of doing anything, Rory's expression became panicked.

"M-my mom can't know about Hercules... She would kill me."

Hercules? Wasn't this discussion about him hacking into Cloud? Also who was Hercules? He didn't hear anyone other than Rory enter the dorm yesterday...

Knox's eyes flashed with disappointment. He didn't know why, but he had expected more from Rory after viewing his skills last night.

"What kind of story are you concocting? No one other than you entered the dorm yesterday, therefore you are wasting your time with this line of conversation."

At his words, Rory's eye gleamed wickedly, however on the outside she tilted her head in confusion. It was time to deal the fatal blow to Knox's theory after letting him believe he was completely right.

"Mr. Mikhalson... Hercules isn't a person... He is a sėx doll. Would you like to meet him?"

Knox choked on his coffee and quickly sat the coffee cup on the table before he dropped it.

Through his coughs Knox heard Rory's final question and his mysophobia kicked in. Without thinking about it he waved her away quickly.

"No that will be fine."

Seeing the boy nod his head absentmindedly and get up before heading to the bathroom, Knox's mind flashed to the records he had discovered about Rory.

While he did show some intelligence in their previous conversations, it was likely only a wild guess that he knew nothing about.

It seemed he jumped to conclusions too quickly.
