Chapter 124 - PRE WEDDING TORTURE

I swear, could EZ have chosen anything more girly? OK, I guess the answer to that is yes. As far as wedding dresses go, this one wasn't that bad; it was just a dress, and I don't like wearing these things.

I was happy in a way though since it had been designed with me wearing my leather jacket and boots in mind. I was not letting Kyle go back on that part of what he said. If he wanted to marry me, then he was going to marry me the way that I usually was. He was getting the real Jacy, even if I did have to wear a dress.

Tomorrow was my wedding though. I couldn't believe that time had passed so quickly. EZ healed quickly and was back to wedding planning. I spent a lot of time with him at his new place, even though that involved seeing a LOT more of Bastian and Laremy than I ever thought I would.

What it also meant was that I was, at least partially, willingly helping EZ put together my wedding. I knew a lot more about what was happening than I did just two weeks ago when EZ had been hurt. Thankfully, there was a lot less of me feeling like I was being followed, and EZ hadn't been bothered again either. Thank the Goddess for that. I didn't like the idea that my best friend and pseudo brother was being hurt because of me.

Even though I was nowhere near as expressive or flamboyant as EZ, he was still one of the most important people in my life. He was always there to help me and support me no matter what. I would always love him no matter what happened in life. And truth be told, if Kyle had ever tried to forbid me from being around EZ, he would probably have been kicked to the curb a long time ago.

Anyway, that's not the point of what was going on right now. Nope, right now I was currently trying on my dress to make sure that it fit for tomorrow. I had gotten a lot bigger than I thought I would be by this point. Maybe it's just the fact that I didn't really think about how big babies were when they were born, or how big they got inside the womb. Still, I felt fucking huge.

And here is the big fucking kicker for right now; there were two of the dresses. Yes, EZ had ordered two dresses. And he had TRIED to tell me that it was in case something happened to the first one. Yeah, I am not that gullible or stupid.

For weeks, I could tell that Kyle was planning something. He had been talking with his cousin a lot, the one who owns the wedding venue. When EZ tried to play that line off on me I just glared at him and made it clear that I wasn't fooled. I knew that Kyle was going to make me do this whole wedding thing twice.

I knew why though. Kyle wanted to have a wedding for his pack. I understood that too, I really truly did. But that didn't mean I had to like it now, did I?

UGH! Why did this have to be my life right now? I just had to keep reminding myself that I love Kyle, and I am doing this for him. He wanted this wedding for himself as much as he did for me. And I also understand that we sometimes do things we don't want to for the people that we love. That was all that was getting me through this situation. I love Kyle, and I wanted him to be happy.

"Oh, stop looking so grumpy." Lucian laughed at me. "You know, right now you look like a five year old who had their candy taken away."

"I do not." I pouted at him.

"She even sounds like one." EZ laughed. "What do you think, Lucy? Doesn't she sound like a child right now?"

"For one EZ, don't call me Lucy. And for two, yes she does." Lucian laughed as he answered EZ. "I really don't think she deserves her gift after this."

"I'm still wondering why you're here, Lucian." I glared at him. "Why did you have to come along to see the dress. This is fucking embarrassing."

"It's not embarrassing, dear. You look amazing. And the cut of the dress is really flattering for you. Ezekiel really does have a good sense for things like this. I would hire him in a minute if he wanted to design for me on a regular basis." The seamstress was praising the designer of the dress that I had been complaining about inside my head.

"Sorry Mary, I've got a job with Jacy. I just don't have the time to design anything other than what it is that I want to personally do." EZ blew her off while using me as an excuse.

"You're going to make me beg, aren't you?" Mary giggled at him. "You know I'll do it, Ezekiel. I am not too ashamed to beg."

"You know, to answer your question Jacy, I don't know what the hell I am doing here." Lucian laughed nervously. "I feel so out of my element right now."

"Welcome to my fucking world." I snapped at him. "I haven't even seen my element in months."

"Those are your feet that you can't see, Jacy baby, and it hasn't been months." EZ joked with me and Lucian laughed, this time with humor, and I just wanted to slap him.

"HAHA, that was so fucking funny, EZ. Honestly, how DO you come up with things like that?" My glare and the look on my face that said 'I'm so over this' just made him laugh.

"With you, sweetheart, all things are possible." He winked at me.

That was how the rest of my dress visit went. The two of them made fun of me for being so uncomfortable. It was actually annoying, and I had to remind myself that I loved the both of them as well. EZ and Lucian were the closest things that I had to a family anymore.

Once I was able to take the damned dress off and leave the shop, I was told that I as being subjected to even more torture.

"ALRIGHT!" EZ clapped his hands together and grinned at me. "It's about time that we get this bachelorette party of yours started."

"Wait! What? What bachelorette party? I don't need one? I don't want one, either." I was already starting to panic, and I knew that the sweat that was dripping down my back had absolutely nothing to do with the end of July heat that blanketed us.

"Oh, you're getting one. And this is why I am here. I am the muscle that is going to get you there." Lucian grinned and wrapped his arms around me while EZ pulled something pink and hideous out of a bag that he had been carrying.

The hideous pink monstrosity was a sash that EZ threw over my head. It was a bright, hot pink with fuschia frills coming off of it. I wanted to set it on fire while the designer of the horrific thing was wearing it. The worst part of the eyesore he put around me was what it said.

'BRIDE TO BE' was written on the thing in large cursive letters.

"Oh my Goddess, EZ, get this damn thing off of me before it burns me or causes me to spontaneously combust or something." I couldn't move at the moment though, since Lucian was holding my arms to my sides.

"Well, it looks like the party has already started." A woman came walking up to us. "I've never seen such an interesting bachelorette party before."

I recognized the woman; it was the woman from the wedding venue. Kyle's cousin was her husband.

"Uhm, Jazmine right?" I was trying to make sure I didn't mess up her name at all.

"That's right. It's nice to see you again, Felicitas." She smiled at me.

"Felici what now?" EZ sounded confused.

"Felicitas, it's the Feline equivalent of a Luna for the wolves. It's what we feline shifters call the mate of the Alpha."

"Oh, interesting." Lucian grinned. "I never knew that."

"What are you doing here?" I asked her, ignoring the guys that were currently annoying me. I was also ignoring the looks we were getting from people passing by on the street and giving us funny looks because Lucian was still holding me in place.

"Obviously, I am here to be part of your bachelorette party. You know soon you will have to get to know some of the Felines in the pack. They are all interested in knowing about you, that is for sure."

"I don't think they like me that much." I laughed. "If you kill one in front of them the first time they meet you, it kind of ruins things for the whole friendship thing."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that." She laughed again. "Just so you know, most of the pack couldn't stand that bitch anyway. So it was no big loss when you killed Gretchen."

"Please don't talk about murdering someone in front of me right now. I need plausible deniability."

"Don't mind Lucy, he's a cop." EZ Giggled.

"Don't call me Lucy."

"Anyway, how come no one ever told us that Jacy had such an interesting first meeting with the felines?" EZ was looking a little sad that he was out of the loop.

"I am sure that the Alpha wanted it hushed away." Jazmine smiled. "He does tend to get whatever it is he wants."

"That he does." EZ smiled at me. "I've noticed that about him."

"Come on, enough of that. Let's get this party started."

With that, I was dragged away for a night of torture. I mean, I was escorted to the location of my bachelorette party. I wonder if I screamed enough if the cops would come rescue me. Considering I was being held by a cop already, they would probably just leave me alone. I was doomed.
