She kept an eye on the new comer. Wait, wait, wait, she thought. That hair, I think I know it. Suddenly Emily could not help but gasp, and muttered, Ivy! She felt her blood boil with anger. What a copy cat! She thought. But there was one thing she couldn't solve, how did she know that she goes to this very gym? All these bubbles of thought were burst when that person turned around, revealing her identity. Emily was right. It was Ivy. She has the same rebellious grin on her face that may seem like an innocent smile to those who don't know her true self.
Ivy scanned the whole place, but as soon as she set her eyes on Emily, her face turned into a bitter expression. But, Emily on the other hand quickly looked away, when Ivy caught sight of her. Ivy then further looked around and saw Aiden, she was not shocked at all, like Emily was at first. Her face was like she knew he was here, in fact it was like she followed him here. She straightened up her posture and 'cat walked' towards him. Emily frowned, what a show-off.
"Hey Aiden! What a nice surprise to see you here. Pure coincidence, isn't it?" Ivy talked a bit loudly and confidently. From the face of Aiden, you could clearly see that he also couldn't help but scowl. But a person like Ivy would not ever care, except for herself. Coincidence, yeah right, Emily thought. "Hello, Ivy. Good to see you. What brings you here?" Aiden asked, stepping down from his stair mill. "Hel-lo." Ivy responded, faking a laugh, "Obviously to work out." Aiden let out one of the most fakest laugh. "Well, you better start then."
He said and stepped on his machine starting to exercise again. Whoa, Emily thought, Aiden was kinda rude, but she totally deserved it. She could not help but let out a slight smile at the scene. Aiden had shown Emily around (even though Mr. Johnathon asked to do so), but did not even give a thought to show Ivy around.
Even Ivy was slightly dejected at this behavior, but she sweetly said again, "Won't show me around? I don't know any of these things?" As if Aiden was in charge of showing around new comers. "Why did you even come when you don't know any of this stuff?" Aiden replied straight forward. It was a smack on Ivy's face, so hard, even Emily thought she saw it. What has happened to him? Emily and Ivy thought in unison.
Henry came out of nowhere, "Hello, Miss. May I know your name?" He asked like a gentleman. Although Ivy was not at all interested in him, she still replied nicely, "I am Ivy. Nice to meet you." "May I have the honor of showing you around?" He asked charmingly. Ivy let out a little sigh, hiding her true emotions, she agreed like any lady would, or probably should. Thus, the two started to walk away, as Henry talked.
Getting a chance, Emily quickly stepped down and went almost running towards Aiden. "Aiden" She asked, "Are you okay? I am sorry but I kinda overheard you guys." Aiden stepped down, grabbed her hand and took her to the corner of the gym. "Emily, did you tell her that I come here?" He asked suspiciously. "What?! No. Never. Why would I do that? She isn't my friend, or anything close to that either. In fact an enemy." Emily replied reassuringly. He sighed. So now, there were a million questions circling her head, one of them bewildering her the most. "Uhm… Don't you like her?" She asked. "Ugh, not at all. She is so annoying. She wants to follow me where ever I go and wants to be friends with me so bad for more popularity. Simply, annoying. Moreover, I don't like her personality either." He replied out of sorts.
Another shock for Emily. All this time she thought that Aiden felt the exact opposite. She tried to console him, "I totally knows how it feels." She smiled wryly. Then they saw the other two coming towards them. Emily rolled her eyes, here we go, she thought, let's see what she has to say.
