After the large scale publicity brought with the success of my successful debut, I was on a full scale publicity tour.

Unprecedented success, had etched every move I made into the national news and focus.

It was another key moment, in the Golden Boy of Korean entertainment's career as it was the release of the Man From Nowhere and its most likely competitor Iron Man 2.

The two films held simultaneous screenings for the press. A record day of competition, Korea vs the World was set to take place.

The preliminary battle was to take place … The critics.

In this era, reviews were something one could not avoid.

Of course, critics who participated in previews, as long as the movie wasn't completely repulsive, would not generally make incisive remarks. After all, the critics needed film to survive, but films didn't need them.

The day after the early screenings, all major newspapers and magazines had released the long-awaited reviews on The Man From Nowhere and Iron man 2.

"Brutal violence dominates the dynamic thriller "The Man From Nowhere" As heartthrob and director Dylan Park, transforms himself into an action hearo. Showing flair for action sequences, its squeezes out tension in every expertly choregraphed fight scene – 4.5/5" – The Korean Times

"A genius director and talented young actors, deliver something cliché with just enough originality to bring you something familiar yet exciting. To those who will go watch the movie, I advise you not to eat popcorn or you'll likely spray it all over your seated neighbours …. 4/5" – The Korean Herald

Gleaming reviews for The man From Nowhere, fills every article, possibly overhyping it due to the fact it being a Korean production. Iron Man 2, on the hand was no slouch either.

"Iron Man 2. Not quite the breath of fresh air, but this sequel comes close with solid performances and an action-packed plot. The best scenes are still the ones with Downey and Paltrow or just Downey alone. It's enjoyable to see a quality superhero dynamically and enthusiastically rendered. 4/5" – Chosun

"Iron Man 2. Faces some stiff competition this week, In the end, it is what is …. A sequel that… although not quit living up to the original, manages to hold its own, and above all, a fun popcorn movie that will put a smile on your face.. 3.5-5" - Ilbo

A bitter battle was set to take place over this weekend. The outcome of a gamble was about to be decided at the roll of the dice.

"What's up Babe?"

"Oh nothing… You seem stressed"

While I had always maintained my confident behaviour, Choo instinctively knew I was filled with concern. This was the first risk I had taken in my life, aiming to make something greater than my past life and not merely replicate it.

This was my dream, to bring someone's story to life.

In this past year, I debuted as an actor, a variety star and even a singer. But this was my first step at reaching for a future not bound in only this countries borders.

Grabbing her boyfriend's waist, she leans against my back as she whispered: "Babe, if there is something on your mind. I might not be able to help much but I am still qualified enough to listen to them. Hmm" She says cutely, egging me on.

"I just suddenly felt that … " I turn around taking her into my embrace: "The future that I am aiming for…. Might be more difficult to tread on that I ever thought…. Baechu, will you still go down that road with me?"

Not fully understanding the underlying meaning of my words, she nonetheless decisively acquiesced "Of course I will… We promised. Together Forever right?"

"Always…" I smile in response, "Thanks for reminding me, Baechu…. Are you really not coming with me to France? I can arrange for Yuri to get an extra ticket?"

As the theatrical release was drawing near, 20th Century had decided that a good way to promote the film would be for it to compete at Festival de Cannes, even if it only had a semi positive review it would only add to the hype behind it.

"No, I have training. I can't keep skipping just because my boyfriend is a bigshot. Sugi and Wendy already say I get treated favourably."

"Well, you do don't you. I made sure Soo man Hyung treated you kindly"

"Aish, and here I remember someone telling me that they won't interfere in my trainee life and let me succeed on my own ?"

"Well that's what I'm doing, I'm just making sure my pretty little rabbit is a little comfortable."

"Getting me my own private studio and private teachers. That's more than just a little comfortable" She protests.

Find her actions lovable, I smother her in my arms for a while before she pushes me away and turns to help tidy up my travel luggage.
