56 The Plot Thickens

*Flashback to 10 minutes earlier*

Dialing Yuri noona's number, I wait impatiently for her to pick up as I tap my index finger across the marbled top counter.

Eventually, Inevitably even, once she answers, I lay out my plan.

As I begin speaking, detailing the plan of action, I calmer as each second passes.

The entire matter, which had made me squirm from fright just a moment ago now feels as if it is in the palm of hands.

I can only attribute this new found confidence as coming from my belief in the people around me.

Both of which, I had all too few of in my previous life.

\"Yuri-noona. Code Red. Pay attention. I'm about to be drugged.

A waiter has just been bribed to slip a substance into my drink.

He is working under the orders of a man in his late 30's, wearing a well fitted suit, about 6'2, darker of complexion with a worn out look and a side parted hairstyle gave the order... I will think of a way to drag out time with the waiter and stay sober. Come to the following address .... be here in 5.

Mobilize the protection unit.

Take the room next door, make it look like a company gathering.

When the waiter lays his plan, I will signal you to get ready, if you see anyone else approach, permission is granted to use force.\"

Since moving back to Seoul, I started experiencing the extent of my fame.

Sure I had a few admirers in Busan. However back in the City, that was magnified to a scary extent.

To even think that this may be what Hora will have to face in the upcoming years, I grew worried.

Hence, I created the protection unit, a special division of elite former soldiers, and security that I have created for the simple task of keeping myself and those I care about .... safe.

With money comes power.

But with Power comes enemies.

The thought of not knowing when and who would be after me.

Over the past year I've been trying to figure out what happened to the 'ME' in 2007 and why I was kicked to Daegu. It hasn't left my mind for a day.

My investigations have revealed however, that my other-self was not responsible for the incident which I now know was a building collapse which killed 5 people.

It was all an act, orchestrated by someone in the shadows.

The identity of whom I still don't know.

It's part of the reason I haven't return to S company yet and just let my uncle run it... for now.

I've been waiting for the people in the shadows to make a move again.

I'm not sure if this is them or just some scumbags trying to have 'fun' with celebrities. But whoever it is, prepare to suffer!

The game is a finally afoot my dear Watson!

*End of flashback*

\"Have a driver take those two to my apartment and let them sober up\" I give out orders much like a general on the battlefield.

I turn to Won, noticing her dazed expression. Enveloping her in a Hug, as I gently stroke her back, \"Don't worry these are my people. It's all over now\"

\"Do you want to go with Sungi and Hojoo? It might get a bit gruesome\" I state, as the shock of has set in, and her knees grow wobbly.

\"I ... want to stay...\" She answers softly nestling in my embrace.

I nod, understandingly as we take a seat on the couch together.

The waiter on the floor is dragged by towards an unkown corner of the room, to be dealt with later , while Won is like a little kitten laying on my chest purring from comfort seemingly oblivious to our surroundings.

Yuri-noona has been giving me a knowing look since a while ago, as I shake my head signaling this is not what it looks like.

Seems like I have to give her a big bonus to keep her mouth shut from telling Hora.

.....

The door soon opens as the man in the suit enters the room with two strong figures by his side.

Clearly not expecting an ambush, they try to escape but are laid to waste almost instantly.

I can't help but commend my men, they really act with surgical precision. The captain was an ex-member of the Chinese dragon division so he knows a thing about loyalty and perfection. I wouldn't expect anything less.

The man in the suit is groveling in terror, and is slightly confused seeing Won's complete disregard for all other human life as she is just finding peace on my chest.

Her warm breath constantly hits the bottom of my neck, which makes it extremely difficult to concentrate.

\"Speak\" I utter only one word waiting for this man to open his mouth

\"Young master.... I'm sorry. I'm sorry\" He begins pleading

\"So you know who I really am? What were you planning to do?\" I ask

\"....I really .... can't..\" He says intelligibly.

\"Break his hand\" I order.

My men oblige and carry out their duty diligently. Even I can't help but get squeamish at the sight of it.

Won draws closer trying instinctively to cover her eyes from the painful shrieks with my shirt acting as earplugs.

\"Are you going to speak now? or do you want me to break your other hand?\" I ask much like a waiter whose about to take his order

\"No no no no, I... We... wanted to frame you\"

'Frame me... huh'

'So they weren't after the girls after all'

\"Frame me ? Why?\" I ask

\"I.... was ordered to\"

\"By who!\" My voice thunders less, of a question but a command.

\"I don't know, my daughter....\"

I complete his sentence \" They have your daughter and would harm her if you didn't do as instructed. How.... Cliche.... \"

Makes sense though, never get your own hands dirty if you can have someone else do it for you.

He really believes he is doing the right thing.

\"Am I not someone's child? Is she not someone's daughter yet you didn't hesitate to cause us harm. Don't pretend to be innocent, you most certainly are not. And you most definitely will have to pay.

Your daughter however has done nothing, I will help get her back... Technically I am the cause of her being taken\"

He lifts his head, as his eyes fill with hope.

\"But first you are going to have to answer my questions....\"
